06-2025 Nikkei Park in Hight rate 19 location for tourist in Vancouver, WA, USAPearson Air Museum - Vancouver Andy Smith: If you are visiting Fort Vancouver, the whole site is worth visiting, including the visitor center and Pearson Air Museum. The air museum is quite small, but has some lovely planes and a great deal of information on historical escapades.
I would definitely recommend walking (or driving) over here from Fort Vancouver. Walking over, you also get a good view of Pearson airfield.
Old Apple Tree Park - Nokes T (Calapooyas): Its sad to find out the old tree died a few years ago. My 75 year old mother recently shared her childhood memory of visiting the old tree on weekend road trips.
Beaver Marsh - Vancouver Linda Wenzinger: This is a beautiful little park with a small loop trail and a few shoots off the main trail. I was there around 11:00 am on Friday and no one else was there. There is no way to drive into the park so you need to park on the street in the neighborhood outside of the park
Frenchmans Bar Regional Park - Vancouver S P R: Such a great spot to set up your own grill & chill! $3 entry fee, usually packed on the weekends but plenty of parking during weekdays. Great long winding paved path along the river line for strolling, roller skating, jogging, cycling, etc. A favorite for families and dog parents!
Welcome to Washington Sign - Robertson Souza: We had the opportunity to passing through the Washington State in JUN_FY2024 and it was an amazing experience, a great opportunity to learn more about Washington history and legacy.
We did a plant tour in scenic places and for sure its a remarkable state.
Definitely, its a pure nature that deserves my respect. It was a privilege.
Marine Park - vancouver - Vancouver Christina Klarenbach-Harris: Nice place to take a long or short walk by the water. Beautiful views of the Columbia River. Lots of boats to watch. Also lots of geese down there. I wish there was a bathroom but no luck. I would recommend coming here for sure.
Leverich Park - Vancouver Jessica: I had fun with my daughter Sage, a lot of little corners to explore and it was just a beautiful day. Its fun to people watch too as there are disc golfers and the burnt Bridge Creek trail runs along but no bad energy as some of the trail has. Thankful for all the beautiful parks Vancouver has to offer, very impressed on how they are maintained and theyre all different which is an amazing feat with how many there are. Definitely one to check out though!
Burnt Bridge Creek Trail - Vancouver Jeena Khilnani: My husband and I love this trail. It’s 3 miles long one way. Beautiful scenery, friendly people of all ages. And we felt safe. Park rangers were present, but not over bearing.
City of Vancouver Water Resources Education Center - Vancouver Kimberlee Stern: I literally asked my son if we he wanted to go to a trampoline gym or the Water Resource Center. He picked the Water Resource Center! He loves it there! What really makes the difference is the friendly staff. They are SO kind to kids (even rambunctious 3 year olds). One of the staff (Jacob) was cleaning the coho salmon tank and he got all the kids involved AND answered all their questions at the same time. This place and its staff is a gem in our community.
Battle Ground Lake State Park - Battle Ground Misha Smith: We had a fantastic stay at Battle Ground Lake State Park! When we arrived, we had reservations, and although no one was at the gate maybe because of all the Federal cut which I’m so sorry about . it was easy to follow the signs — just head right for campsites 1–20, which are laid out in a convenient loop. Our site was paved, making setup easy, and the lakeside location was beautiful.
We were right next to the restrooms, which were clean and well-maintained. While that meant a little extra foot traffic nearby, we didn’t mind because the lake access made it totally worth it. There’s a small trail that takes you quickly down to the lake and the park store.
Speaking of the store, the woman working there was wonderful! We love collecting small souvenirs from every trip, and she kindly gave us one even though they hadn’t been priced yet — such a thoughtful and personal touch. Just a heads-up: the store is only open on weekends before Memorial Day, but it switches to Monday–Friday hours after that.
This park is incredibly peaceful, surrounded by dense woods with lots of shaded trails circling the lake. If you’re a sun-seeker, don’t worry — there are sunny spots along the lakeshore where you can relax and soak it in.
We will definitely be coming back! Highly recommend this gem if you’re looking for a quiet, scenic getaway.
