  • Waterfront Renaissance Trail - Vancouver
    Waterfront Renaissance Trail
Sameer Sultan: Discovered this trail by the Strava suggestions as I am new here. Lovely trail which for most parts runs along the Columbia River. If you are lucky you can spot ships crossing beneath the bridge. Some parts of the trail is near the road well shaded. Near the harbour loading area you cannot go near the river. It’s along the road then joins the Maritime Park. The trail is 4.5 miles and there is ample free parking. If you want to extend the run then take the road across the Marriott then join the newly developed Vancouver waterfront which is another beautiful place.
Captain George Vancouver Monument - Vancouver
    Captain George Vancouver Monument
Cynthia Scott: This monument was erected in 1992 in honor of Captain George Vancouver of the British Navy who did a 4 & 1/2 year voyage (1791-1795) of the Pacific Northwest with this reviews emphasis on the beautiful Columbia River area which took place in the year of 1792. Unfortunately I did not get a photo of the life size bronze statue of Captain George Vancouver himself which is located on the north side of City Hall, but I will be back in the area again very soon so I will be sure to add that update to this review. I found it interesting that Captain George Vancouver also discovered 3 very loved mountains here in the Pacific Northwest: Mt. Rainier, Mt. Saint Helens, and Mt Hood. The entire Vancouver Waterfront Columbia River area is absolutely breathtaking and is rich in history. There is so much to see. If you have not been here, you are in for a treat!

tamar dogadze: It’s truly a delightful place for families with children. You can feel the care and attention that goes into maintaining everything, ensuring that every child discovers something enjoyable to engage with. If your little one is fascinated by dinosaurs, you’re in for a treat—the park’s dinosaur theme is particularly exciting! It’s a great opportunity for them to explore their interests in such a magical setting. Like my comments if you find it helpful.

Mobile-Video Team: Amazing piece of art with fine details and precise position for showing the time on sunny days, in a great location, a nice and quiet neighborhood within Clark College Park, a nice place to check the technology of the past, but with a real utility today, if the sky is unclouded

Pamela Balch: What a treasure, NatureScaping of SW Washington is, also called Wildlife Botanical Gardens! Beautiful themed planting areas, lush forest, natural lake habitat....a feast for the eyes and a wonderful place to soak in the beauty of Gods creation!
    Pearson Air Museum - Vancouver
    Pearson Air Museum
Andy Smith: If you are visiting Fort Vancouver, the whole site is worth visiting, including the visitor center and Pearson Air Museum. The air museum is quite small, but has some lovely planes and a great deal of information on historical escapades. I would definitely recommend walking (or driving) over here from Fort Vancouver. Walking over, you also get a good view of Pearson airfield.

    Old Apple Tree Park
Nokes T (Calapooyas): Its sad to find out the old tree died a few years ago. My 75 year old mother recently shared her childhood memory of visiting the old tree on weekend road trips.
    Beaver Marsh - Vancouver
    Beaver Marsh
Linda Wenzinger: This is a beautiful little park with a small loop trail and a few shoots off the main trail. I was there around 11:00 am on Friday and no one else was there. There is no way to drive into the park so you need to park on the street in the neighborhood outside of the park
Frenchmans Bar Regional Park - Vancouver
    Frenchmans Bar Regional Park
S P R: Such a great spot to set up your own grill & chill! $3 entry fee, usually packed on the weekends but plenty of parking during weekdays. Great long winding paved path along the river line for strolling, roller skating, jogging, cycling, etc. A favorite for families and dog parents!
