Supernova Barber Shop Supernova Hair Salon - Tacoma Bella T: As a former hairstylist, I’ve had a lot of stylists cut my hair and no one has EVER cut my hair like Jana! I grew up with pin straight hair until my 20s when the front got curly. Jana cut my hair in a way that enhanced and evened out the different textures in my hair and I’m OBSESSED! Not to mention the fact that she wasn’t afraid to do short layers and gave me the shag of my dreams (that every other stylist I talked to said wasn’t possible). The other stylists I’ve met there are also lovely and very talented. It’s one of the few places I’d consider a safe place with genuine people. I could go on about my experience, but I would recommend them to anyone looking for a salon that’s educated on alternative hair.
Salon Di Stile - Tacoma Dawn Hohlt: 2-5-25 A Day to Remember! My first time at Wendy Honeywell Salon. I was stunned that she knew what my original hair color was despite gray, and faded blonde and red ! She knew EXACTLY what I needed, and I TRUSTED her next move! I have a LOT of hair, and she was patient and doing her utmost Best for hours! Once the foils removed, my hair color was so STUNNING, I was speechless!! Wendy is a TRUE Hair Magician like the sign says! I would travel a hundred miles if need be to repeat this WENDerful experience !
heyHELLO Hair Co - Tacoma Lacy Dove: I’ve been going to this salon for years for color, cut, and styling and Robin and Charla are the best! Their coloring is gorgeous and I never know what hair style I want but their suggestions always have me leaving feeling pretty amazing. They listen and give thoughtful input. And the salon environment is fun, roomy, and inviting. I couldn’t ask for a better experience and certainly won’t go anywhere else for as long as they’ll have me!
The Intaglio Salon - Tacoma Angie Kennedy: Was recommended here by a friend after a lifetime of experiences at various other salons left me feeling bad about my hair any time I’d get it cut. My hair is long, thick, wavy, full - always takes more time than anticipated, even after I’d learned to mention this when scheduling somewhere.
Not this place! I’ve had a few different stylists cut my hair since I’ve been coming here over the years & each one has done such a great job. I’ve never once felt like my stylist was frustrated because my hair was more work & time than they’d anticipated. I’ve never left with wet hair because the stylist ran out of time after washing and cutting. I’ve never left feeling guilty about booking my next haircut because my hair takes time & work. I leave here feeling great every single time I come in. Kasey, the owner, is wonderful. I can’t imagine going elsewhere.
A Shear Delight - Tacoma Stephanie Batungbacal: Styling styling styling! Nelly really knows how to take any head of hair...whether its thick, thin, frizzy, curly, or straight and turn it into a masterpiece! Not only did she do my hair for my daughter-in-laws wedding, but she also did the brides hair and many of the bridesmaids. All came out simply beautiful! Her attention to detail, the time she takes, and the patience she has is amazing. Truly a great overall hairdresser.
Refinery Style Bar - Tacoma Carli Kitsch: This salon is the best of the best in the area. All of the stylists are always welcoming and the salon atmosphere is inviting and not overwhelming. Ive been a client of Melissas for about 15 years and she is a wonderful individual and has great talent! I always get compliments on my hair from coworkers. If youre in the market for a new stylist, I woule highly recommend anyone at Refinery!
Natchaya Salon - Tacoma Maria: Naam is great! She did my wedding hair for a good price and listened to what I wanted. She is fantastic personality wise as well, she is a small business owner, a mother, a wife, and a fantastic hair stylist!
Willow Salon & Spa - Tacoma Vanessa C: Trena is so amazing at what she does. I’m so happy I found her! She is not only very knowledgeable but her attention to detail shows that she really cares to take her time with her clients. I came to her earlier this summer after looking for a new stylist. She was very honest on what to expect and how we can achieve it. Not only did she customize my color but also explained each step during the process.
My hair is naturally very thick and I have a lot of it. During the haircut she explained the trick to layering my hair due to these factors and was able to blend my previous layers which weren’t done well by a previous stylist.
For my first visit she was able to take out all of the brassy color and lighten it. She customized the toner color and it came out beautiful. This most recent visit she was able to implement some bleaching on the ends to help tackle the slight brassy color from what I had left (from previous coloring with someone else). That along with a partial balayage has revived my hair :)
Not only is she great at her work but her personality is amazing as well. The hours we spent during my appointment flew by. I would definitely recommend her as a stylist, you will not regret!
Nanas Hair Salon - Tacoma Sarah Ripley: She did such a good job with my hair, it is exactly what im looking for! She also gave me a long amazing scalm massage as she washed and rinsed my hair. I will definitely go back. The only negative I would say is since she has plants in the frount window there are some sugar ants in that area. But for the price and the quality I highly recommend ❤️
