1 /5 Mark Kastenbaum: Im a senior with a history of chronic pain, exasperated by a automobile accident on Sept 24, 2024. I received emergency care due to this incident. On a monthly basis, I renew my pain medication. Yesterday I meet with a provider who renewed my medication request and took a sincere interest concerning my medication history. Today I went to the pharmacy to pick up my medication. The provider who approved my prescription signed of for 20 tablets, I told the pharmacy tech that this is an error because this does not satisfy my dosage on a monthly schedule. I told the technician this is not your fault and told her I needed a supervisory review concerning this issue. Fortunately another provider corrected the error and my prescription was correctly filled. In retrospect, Im confused, a simple review of my record would have corrected my refill issue. I understand administrative mishaps due happen, I wonder how many folks have experienced a similar situation?
