Mason Health - Mason General Hospital - Shelton (WA)

4 /5 DJ Bass Phase: Mason General hospital does get a bad reputation and sometimes for good reason, but my experience was different. I brought my 2 and 1/2-year-old daughter into the emergency room for flu-like symptoms, and the receptionist, the nurse, and the doctor were all very kind and professional. I didnt get everyones names, but Brian the nurse, was spectacular. The one complaint I have is that we were here for quite a while, but that is pretty typical for an emergency room.

1 /5 Kayla Zembas: I have never been treated so horribly in my life by hospital staff. I had never been there before and was talked down to, and was provided as little information as possible to be seen. I was never even seen. Vague instructions with hand gestures. Staff was god awful. I would rather drive to Olympia than ever come back. Mean girls really do become nurses and work here.

1 /5 Tillamuk: I was rushed to the ER in an ambulance because I had a mental slip that scared me to the point of a level 8 migraine, was confused, in and out of consciousness, vomiting from the pain and was made to wait in the er lobby for 7 hours. My wife had to call the er time and time again to remind them that we were there and I wasnt getting any help. To the point that they got frustrated and took in dozens of patients that walked in after me. I assume its because I have tattoos, piercings and dreadlocks, so they assumed I was a withdrawing drug addiction. When in fact, they had drawn my blood and had the results back quickly, which proves I dont use at all. They blamed everything on the migraine, when it was a mental problem that instigated everything. They didnt write any of what I said down on my intake. They gave me the migraine cocktail and shipped me out. My discharge papers didnt have anything of what I told them, but, it did say that I was a stroke risk, THEY NEVER TOLD ME THAT!! Mason is a hospital that even when youre literally at your worst, theyll treat you like its better to just die in the waiting room, then to do their jobs. Ive got documentation of everything. The lack of care here and the fact that they charge people for that, is deplorable. Do not go there for any reason.

1 /5 Talesha Tenorio: Brought my teenage daughter to the hospital for dizziness, weakness and a horrible migraine. Triage nurse and check in staff amazing. My daughter’s BP was alarming high and she usually runs low. I let the triage nurse know and she said if she gets dizzier to let her know. I let them know about an hour later she is dizzier and they had me call a nurse line in the waiting room . No problem all is good. 25 min go past and I’ll we requested is that they recheck her BP. No one comes . I go over to again request if they can recheck her blood pressure and Amy “lead nurse” gets snarky and says she was already triaged she just needs to wait. We did ask for her to be pushed in front of anyone just for her no to be checked again. I’m sorry why are you a nurse Amy if you have 0 compassion or concern for your patients, and a great lack of professionalism. Took her straight to capital to her BP being extremely high and they handled the situation much better.

1 /5 Sn3aky Th3Gr3at: This ER made us ,me ,my wife and 10 month baby and our 4 year old son sit in the ER waiting room for 8hrs just to let some people that said they dont feel good in to be see in not even a hr later but yet my son that need stitches in his face" is not Severe enough" is what the font Desk lady said .
