The Best 19 Hair Salon in Richland, Benton Country
03-2025 Sagrado Salon & Skin in The Best 19 Hair Salon in Richland, Benton Country Serendipity Salon and Gallery - Richland Katherine Nguyen: I was hit with racist remarks and the haircut I received did not turn out how I wanted it to be.
I asked for a “hime cut,” basically layers, thin, wispy bangs, and a blunt face-framing piece along the bangs. I showed photos for reference. I specifically asked for “thin and wispy bangs that sit below my eyebrow,” but what I received was thick and chunky bangs that sat above my eyebrow. I had to have the stylist recut my bangs about 3-4 times because they weren’t straight. Along with that, when cutting the face-framing pieces, she didn’t ask how long I wanted them and cut whenever she felt like. Along with that, after sectioning out the amount of hair in the face-framing pieces, she added more hair without warning because it “fell into place.” Those pieces ended up being way too thick and I couldn’t do anything about it. I felt defeated because she had already cut too much off.
The racist remarks were a whole other thing. At first, the stylist thought I was someone else. This initially doesn’t sound like a bad thing, but the stylist most likely said this because I’m Asian. She asked “Did you leave earrings here last time?”
And I replied “I’ve never been here before,” and she responded with “Oh. Wrong one.” What does that even mean?
Another thing that happened was when she was asking me if the length of the top layer in the back was short enough. I didn’t know what she was gesturing at, so I said “I don’t know what I’m looking at, I can’t see,” and the stylist respond “It’s because you’re not wearing your glasses!”
I didn’t bring glasses into the salon. I have never needed glasses.
I paid full price + tip for disappointment and for racist remarks. The stylist nailed the layers in my hair, but that’s about it. If you’re looking for a simple trim or someone to do your layers, go here. Don’t ask for anything too “out there,” because the stylist won’t be able to do it.
Brush Salon - Richland A nonymous: I’m so glad my good friend recommended me here. I’ve never been regular about getting my haircut since I’ve had bad experiences in the past, but Jenni at Brush has totally changed that for me! I’ve been seeing Jenni for the past several years and she does such an amazing job every single time I see her. Her personality and talent make it so easy to keep coming back! I won’t go anywhere else.
Vintage The Salon, Inc. - Richland E. F.: Ive been here a few times for a haircut with Alisia, thanks to a recommendation from my friend Tiffany. Every visit leaves me feeling beautiful, and my hair looks and feels amazing!
Salon Bellarosa - Richland Allese Berry: My daughter was disappointed. She came in for prom hair and asked prior if they could do a certain style. They said they could, but they did not doit correct.
A little pricey for not getting what she wanted.
B4 Salon - Richland Tiffany Clarno: Gabi was amazing! I went in asking for a pixie cut and she made sure I was completely happy with my hair before I left. She was super friendly and made me feel like I had known her my whole life. I will definitely be going back to her for any future appointments. Highly recommend!
Salon Chic - Richland Dori Z. Rhynalds: I hardly ever leave reviews unless someone is exceptionally good or bad. In this case, it’s the latter. After great experience with Cyndy, who referred me to Cassandra due to wanting extensions, I had eventually a really disturbing situation with the owner Cassandra who admitted that the extensions she used on me were defective and faulty. (Her words not mine.) She said she would get them replaced by manufacturer. She later comes back to me and says the manufacturer will not replace them. She gave me several reasons why- but all but one were totally inapplicable and invalid and the one reason that had validity did not explain the severity of the problem at all . She did not work on my behalf to resolve this despite her admitting it was a product problem. didn’t try to work on my behalf to resolve this amicably.
I went back to get the product back to try to resolve on my own. She sent her husband to give me back the product- and he literally mocked me and was incredible rude. His behavior was that of a petulant 15 year old. (Life too too short to deal with drama like this.) He acted as if he knew details of my situation- which he didn’t. Statements made to be were off base- and incorrect. His behaviors was deplorable for anyone to ever treat any client. (I’ve never been treated that way my entire life. )
Please also note she was “bait and switch” on the requirements/ cost/ upkeep for hair extensions- she presented one plan up front and then changed the frequency of needs once we got going, increasing costs sharply. I’ve had extensions from others, it’s never been like this. Regardless of the core problem, which might have been fixable with good customer service, it was the poor response/ behavior etc is what makes this interaction and situation with this business totally unacceptable. When you have a problem, you want a business to try to be reasonable with you, not stick it to you. Which is what she did. For all I know, she didn’t put them in correctly. But we never got to resolve due to the horrific response.
Meanwhile, she left me in a lurch prior to a major event with my hair looking terrible due to the extensions issues. A good business personal doesn’t leave a client hanging - and treated poorly. The unprofessionalism here is notable and disturbing.
Finally, as a more minor side note, Cassandra is constantly late for appointments which is frustrating and unprofessional. (She is often not even there yet during appointment time.) I am not the only one who knows about and noticed this. Its pretty disrespectful of a client’s time to not be on time or prepared for appointments.
So, be cautious. If things go fine it might be fine. But, if things go wrong (which can happen with hair), don’t expect her to stand by her word, her work, her products etc and do not expect to be treated in a professional manner.
Keene Edge Salon and Barber - Richland grace sytkowski: Went in for a walk-in and was given service immediately, Outhong was my stylist, and she was incredibly personable and patient with me! I had a vague idea of what I wanted, and she did an absolutely fantastic job turning that idea into the exact haircut that I wanted but had a difficult time explaining, haha. We had a lovely time chatting and I would definitely recommend her services! Thank you, again!
