1 /5 Smarties: This store experience was dehumanizing and embarrassing unlike any other experience I’ve ever had.
I’ve had a really bad couple of months and decided that I would stop by here to do some shopping to just kind of let stuff go for a little bit. I’ve lost 100 pounds and then gained 20 of it back so I was in need of clothing. when you lose that much weight your skin does not zip back into place unfortunately and it makes it really hard to find clothes, so my basket I had a a decent amount of clothes in it, I went to the fitting room and had stuff hung up to look at it all with the door wide open. I was checking stuff to see what I think would actually work. Then the security guard came up to me and told me that I have a max of six items . that’s totally fine. The dressing room was small. I was just sorting through the stuff to utilize my time. then an employee came and told me that I can’t have all of that stuff and I told her I was just organizing it and I would bring the adequate amount back out. She had an attitude rolled her eyes and told me that she would wait. She literally probably spent 5+ minutes or so staring at me with the security guard but had no problem talking to the other lady just fine. This today was the first time and I don’t know how long that I went somewhere and did not have my full face of Sephora makeup and dressy clothes on like I usually do. Making me feel extremely insecure. I felt like I was being watched my every move and when I did purchase what I could, I went to my car and felt like bawling my eyes out.
