Brigina Sandobal I was thrown off guard by my first phone conversation with Mr. Lee. His tone was extremely aggressive and his very first question was wanting to know my nationality. I felt I was being lectured rather than being helped. Communication did get better over time but that first impression was discouraging. I also had a phone conversation with Katherine Chrostowska. She downplayed my job/work duties and was belittling. Approximately 2 years ago, I was struggling with severe anxiety, PTS and depression. This interaction I had back then was unprofessional and insensitive. My hope is that no one else is treated this way.

Walter Krom Public defenders for cases out of Marysville. They pass you around amongst the other lawyers in the firm so you always seem to have someone new. Called every morning for over a week trying to talk to someone about my case, no answer leave message, and they never call back. Rarely even answer the phone and if they do its just a secretary or paralegal. Leave a message and you still never hear back. My lawyer actually snapped at the prosecutor when they asked if we had set a meeting saying that it was between us and not their business. Obviously more worried about their ego then their clients wellbeing. I get it they have huge case loads and its not big money but do your job the best you can and thats doing the best for your client.

Kimberlee Schelling This experience was very negative, and afterward, we discovered that Mr. Pellegrini was playing both sides which kept us stuck when a solution could have been easily found. My ex and I decided to meet after mediation on our own to try to work through our stuck points, and we reached an agreement in 30 minutes — when Mr. Pellegrini had us in mediation over 7 hours in a deadlock. The solution was very simple, and when we were able to communicate directly to each other, we discovered easily where Mr. Pellegrini kept very important details from each other during the mediation. Instead of supporting us to understand each other, he spoke to each of us in a very inflammatory manner. For example, he told me that my ex was “being very childlike and will not agree to your terms.” While on the other side, he would go to my ex and tell him I was “crying constantly and only here for money.” None of this was true. We spent nearly $7,000 in one day in fees to Mr. Pellegrini and attorneys, and came to a stalemate. I would highly advise against using this mediator.

Callie Maertz Mr. Pellegrini and his whole staff are professional and make a very stressful situation a little less unpleasant. The only thing that really surprised me was when Mr. Pellegrini informed me that the opposing party was being very agreeable, which was different than what the paperwork showed as it kept being returned to their original demands instead of making any compromises. Even mediators can get the wool pulled over their eyes I guess, but other than that little hiccup I believe that he did try to help us both come to agreement we could be happy with. Here’s the most important part: Mr. Pellegrini is a major hottie!!! So if you have to go through this miserable experience, at least you can have some eye candy lol! That is my professional opinion.

Shannon Slattery He and his team were so professional. Even when my ex husbands gf showed up in my yard with he and me on the phone screaming at me to sign a "quick claim deed" that benefitted them. My only disappointment was letting it go to the mediator rather than the judge. Other than that he and his team were fantastic. At the end of it was covid so I had to go there to get my "check" they slipped it out the door to me so I never really got to say thank you. So thank you Brian Duce and team. Although Bryan was not my lawyer, I will say he has great communication, was super polite, direct, and if I end up needing this specific type floor, I will absolutely call him. B P I’d give NEGATIVE stars if I could…. Weds 11/27- sent an online inquiry the 14th and heard nothing. Followed up Weds 11/20. Donna the paralegal had just left at 4:20pm when her office hours are 8-4:30. She called back the morning of 11/21. I returned her call and she had left early for an appointment. Left another message. Called again Friday and Donna was “not available”. Left another message. It’s now Wednesday 11/27. Still no calls from Donna. I just called and she’s out for the day and will be back on Monday since it’s thanksgiving they’re closed Thursday and Friday. I finally asked Joan the receptionist, is she EVER in the office because I’ve been calling trying to reach her for a WEEK now. Is there anyone else I can talk to? No. Now Joan the receptionist sounds about 90 and incoherent and should be retired. She lacks any type of urgency or personality. In two weeks I’ve sent one email and called FOUR TIMES trying to reach Donna and got one call back. I question if this firm actually represents clients. Reaching anyone besides the old lady receptionist is virtually impossible. EDIT 6/22 to the owners comment 7 MONTHS after I left my initial review - I DID have a 15 minute meeting with Gary regarding my father’s estate. He was nice, but wasn’t helpful and said there was nothing he could help with. IF there had been, I wouldn’t have even used this firm and taken my business elsewhere. So don’t worry, I never will be a client!
