Fred Meyer Jewelers - Puyallup H S: I brought in a ring that was purchased for me 7 years ago. Something on it was catching threads, etc. I assumed it was a clasp and it would need repair. The woman working at the time was rude from the get-go. She said if I had been bringing my ring in every year to have it inspected, like everyone else does, a repair would be covered. Okay. Then she claims she tried to sell me the extended warranty but I didnt want it. I told her she didnt because I didnt buy the ring. She repeated that two more times. I corrected her again, and again. At this point, I realize Im dealing with an employee with an attitude. Now she starts talking about the stones and how lucky I am that I didnt lose any. Great. She talks about how I can trade up for only a few thousand dollars. No thanks. Finally, she goes back to looking at the ring and begins to write down all the problems she sees. She ends up with a lot of numbers on separate lines with a grand total of just under $5,000. Seriously.The experience was gross and really unpleasant. 3 weeks later, I take my ring into a respected jeweler for a repair estimate. He says its an easy repair. The cost will be $40. Seriously. Were not buying a thing from FM Jewelry ever again.
