Teri and Ken are always honest and complete in their assessment of the issue; they offer alternative options when they are able. They were willing to let us get our car towed here as a first time customer when we had issues immediately on moving to the area. Marla K What a wonderful place with spectacular people!! I was heading through town, just an hour away from my destination on a Friday afternnon and broke down on the freeway. They helped me find a tow truck to get my car to them and they were able to start working on it immediately when I got there! They diagnosed and fixed the problem (my driveshaft had fallen off) and I was back on the road heading to meet my new grandbaby in about an hour and a half at a reasonable price (no price gouging)! They took care of me like family and I was blessed to have found them! I believe if I had taken my car anywhere else it would not even have been looked at until Monday. L I reached out to about five different mechanics, and Motorworks was the only one that could schedule me an appointment within days, rather than making me wait weeks like other places. They also included the diagnostic in their service, which saved me the $200 charge that other places, including the Subaru dealership, would have tacked on. The service was completed the same day, and the staff was not only friendly but also took the time to explain everything to me. I will definitely be recommending Motorworks to others :)

Esther Kimber Working with J and K was the best experience! I am sure glad there are some wonderful people left in this world! My daughter is a student in Pocatello, and we live in Washington. She was stranded at the Walmart and we were so blessed that the owner of this shop was right across the street. He took time out of his day to come over and assess the car and actually gave our daughter and her friend a ride home to their house across town, instead of leaving her in the parking lot to wait for an Uber. Then the turnaround was so quick, so she wouldnt even miss work. When the car was done, he took it to her at her apartment and had her drive him back to the shop. Shes just a kid, and to have someone looking out for her like that has been the biggest blessing. Ill forever be grateful for the kindness and expertise of this small business and its amazing owner!

Gump Ciera (Ciera Sunshine) J & K automotive was there for me when I needed them. They answered my call, got me in same day. They offered a really fair rate on services and only charged for the time needed. When I arrived, they greeted me promptly and took my car back right away. Cheyenne Martin I recently had a not-so-fun experience when I rear-ended someone. I took my car to Skagit Grand Central Collision, and I have to say, they really took excellent care of me and my car. From the moment I arrived, the staff was professional and understanding, which really helped ease my stress. Peter Shosa After repairs needed to drive the vehicle for awhile before I could give and truly honest review. Having done that, I am extremely pleased with the work provided. SUV is running exceptionally well, had a annoying rattle every time going over a bump, that no longer happens. When driving, I can feel its a very stable ride. Gateway is through and compentent. Rob English I walked away from the shop with a bad taste in my mouth, and Id like to save others from making the same mistake I did. I brought my vehicle in because it was running poorly and had an oil leak. They were upfront about the cost of the diagnostic procedures. I was a little concerned about the cost, but I figured they may be able to find a larger issue or at least do a tuneup following the broader tests. I paid $266 for the "engine is running poorly" diagnostic and $138 for the "oil leak" tests. I was called an hour later and informed that they found the source of the oil leak. They also informed me that I needed new rear brakes; I appreciate that they did an inspection there. The cost was fairly reasonable for the service. It was only a $50 part, but good labor is expensive. Looking at the final bill, I saw that their troubleshooting for both issues pointed to the same issue. I asked about this, and the manager cited the fact that troubleshooting was done for both issues. That is valid. The reality, though - at least from my perspective - is that I paid over double for you to find one issue. They did at most an hour of troubleshooting. What did they do prior to finding that the oil leak was caused by a faulty switch? Pull my OBDII codes and inspect my brakes? Ultimately, had I only mentioned one issue, I wouldve walked away for $266 less with the same outcome. If you choose to visit this shop, I encourage you to be very careful about how you phrase the issue youre having. The numbers I was shown were not estimates, they were set in stone costs regardless of the results. They were upfront, polite, and didnt push on the upsells, but that doesnt change the fact that they objectively charged me more than they needed to.

Ron Sonntag About two months ago the drivers side door latch on our 1997 Chevy Blazer broke (ripped out of the door jam). This was probably due to earlier damage caused by a mentally incapacitated deer ramming the door on an earlier excursion. The door would no longer close and we started looking for repair options. Dallys was the only auto repair service in this area that said they could repair it inside of two months. All the others were backed up for at least 4 months and some longer than 6 months. Concerned about supply chain issues, we took the car to Dallys, a service we had used very successfully over the last 20 years. It took exactly as long as Dallys had predicted and they did a perfect job of repairing the latch and realigning the door. We could not be more pleased. Once again, Dallys showed their commitment to quality and integrity - doing what they say they would do. Many thanks, Dallys!

jarathehut Took 3 hours to remove old tires and install new tires plus an alignment. A little long for work done but I was told my rims were wide but the new tire bead was narrow. The guys had a hard time trying to pry open the tires to set the bead so it was seal and hold air. They mounted heavy 35" tires on my f350. I was pleased with the outcome

Aquib Worst experience at Pep Boys in this location. Booked an appointment for Monday, July 21. Told them beforehand that I need my Nissan Altimas washer fluid bottle replaced. Said theyll get it on Wednesday. Arrived on Wednesday, they got the wrong model. Told me that theyll get the right one on Saturday, to which I said I wont be here on Saturday and I can come on Monday again and they were totally fine with it. Called them on Monday before 3 PM and they said they dont have time to install it now, asking me to come on Wednesday. No thank you, enough waiting for me. And its a 1 hour job to replace washer fluid bottle but the person who works there thinks everyone else is an idiot cos he said it will take 3 hours. Never bothering with them again.

Pnwtails _ I want to preface this review by saying that I have a lot of anxiety when it comes to car repairs. Finding someone that I trusted was a long, arduous process. A&C Automotive is right down the street from me so I figured I’d give them a try. My first experience with them was for an oil change. My car uses full synthetic so I was expecting a rather pricey oil change. Total cost came to about $70. Compare this to the nearly $100+ that Jiffy Lube charges for the same job. I also noticed that, unlike Jiffy Lube, they placed a sticker in my window for my next oil change. Instead of telling me my next change HAD to be in 3,000 miles, they wrote me down for the next 10,000 miles (common for full synthetic from what I hear). My next job for the shop was for strange noises I was hearing in the front of my tires. They were able to pinpoint the source of the problem and give me a detailed rundown of what was happening and what it was likely going to cost. I was given two estimates: one for $500 and one for $1200. It shows a lot of honesty that they didn’t try charging me for the $1200, regardless of the work done. The job was done in good time and I haven’t had an issue since. All of the employees are very professional and talk to me like a person. Being a woman, it’s common for shops to try and up charge for unnecessary work. I give a lot of credit to Janice for being so helpful and professional. Overall, I’d recommend this local shop to anyone needing work done.

Kevin Schindler For most of my life I have been a "Do it Yourself(er)" when it comes to auto repairs. I have gotten away with that approach until I had a major engine repair to do, pull the head, timing, oil pan etc. Everything went well except I did not get the timing right (go figure, I have never done it before). I was referred to A & C Automotive by a close friend and I chose to follow up with that recommendation. When I went in I met Jan, I found her to be professional, straight up and honest. I explained my circumstances of the repairs I have already done but I was confounded by some engine codes I was getting. She stated they can resolve these issues without any problem. When I asked the ultimate question of "How much will this run me?" The price she quoted was accurate and she explained the labor cost and price of parts to my satisfaction. Long story short they did a fabulous job. Recently I had another trouble code for a faulty sensor. I returned to them for service to resolve my issue. For as long as I live in the Mount Vernon area I will continue to seek out their business. I will highly recommend them to family and friends for auto repairs without hesitation.

Maleah Nore I could not have asked for a better mechanic for my Subaru Outback. Even though he was very busy, he was able to fit time in for a very mysterious and frustrating mechanical issue that had kept my car from getting above 40mph for days. He took the time to explain the issues to me, to make clear what my options were and what the repercussions of them could be, and to give me general Subaru ownership advice. He didnt overcharge one bit and actually saved me a lot of money compared to what I thought I would have to spend. He even cleaned my headlights for free. Chris tasty lemons “skeeter” Mike replaced my clutch set and re-surfaced my fly-wheel on my 2011 STi 35k later still going strong. In 20k I’ll will request him to replace timing belt and all other needed components he also allowed me to bring the OEM Subaru parts to be installed. Sent photos during process to keep me updated. Bryan Robles Kris did a fantastic job on my 2006 Mitsubishi Evolution IX. I needed a place to have some work done, but I was always picky on where to go. Kris was able to diagnose the problem fast! Mari Mendoza Had my car taken here after my car accident and the first interaction was great but then when I got my car back I had a lot of issues with what was “replaced” eventually I called this place and was immediately met with hostility. The lady didn’t seem to believe what I was saying was wrong with my car and then when I went in the guy who I showed what was wrong with my car was talking to me like I was stupid and if I hadn’t had this car for 8 years. They had zero communication with me so what the guy said would “only take a couple of hours” turn out to be 6 days. I had no idea what was wrong with my car until the insurance company called me telling me there was a rod broken and a broken piece on the inside of the door which was causing the rattling. I definitely would not recommend taking your car to this place.
