Ocha Thai Kitchen and Bar - Renton (WA)

5 /5 Angela Genzale: Met up with friends at Ocha for dinner before seeing a show at Renton Civic Theater (it’s a 7min walk to the theater!). I was surprised at how nice this restaurant was! We were seated right away, Thip was our server and helped us with ordering. We had lots of questions! Ended up getting Phad Thai with prawns, crispy chicken (the best! Ours was not dry at all!), pineapple rice and potstickers (crispy fried just how I like them!) Food was delicious, large portion sizes, excellent service, reasonable prices. Bonus it is near the theater. We will be back! I noticed they had a large room in the back - maybe for hosting large groups.

2 /5 Eric Gillespie: Had a craving for for Thai and decided to check this place out. Interior was nice. Ordered a beer and appetizer and the Beef Pad see ew. The lady forgot to put in the order for my beer and I didnt even get it until after the main course came out. The fresh rolls were just ok. Tasted like the just wrapped up bagged salad. The peanut sauce was good though. The pad see ew noodles were so overcooked we couldnt eat it. They were straight mush. We had to send it back and got the crispy garlic chicken. Then the chicken came out and was so dry we couldnt finish that either. Maybe they did it on purpose cause we sent the first one back. Overall, Super disappointing. 22 bucks for that? No way!!! And it didnt even come with white rice. I know everything is expensive these days, but no white rice with all that? Cmon now! Ive had better Thai at a random corner lot in a strip mall. Sorry to say but I dont really recommend this place.

5 /5 Lauri Donahue: Very tasty, with good-sized portions. We ordered “mild” since there was a child in our group and it was still flavorful. The citrus cheesecake for dessert (pictured) was fabulous. Very child-friendly — waitress brought us a high chair, water cup with straw and lid, and paper/plastic-ware without being asked. Starter came right away but the main course was a little slow. It was chilly on a 37-degree November night. Best to pick a table away from the door. Plenty of parking.

5 /5 Yujia Z.: Portions are generous and the dishes have great wok hei, dishes are well seasoned and the ingredients are all fresh. But be prepared for a longer wait time, especially during peak hours, but the food is worth it. Recommended: Crab fried rice is a standout, very flavorful and loaded with crab. The golden noodles are also excellent. In general, anything that’s stir-fried comes out really well here. The mango sticky rice is another highlight, it’s seasonal, so make sure to ask the staff if it’s available.
