5 /5 Michelle Holdaway: Stopped in for lunch, but first had to enjoy some fun photo shoots on the outside wall—all of them were either funny or delightful. Once inside the cool interior (much appreciated on a hot day!), we were greeted, seated, and given menus right away by friendly waitstaff. We ordered some of the recommended food (fish tacos, shrimp tacos, patty melt on sourdough), and food for our picky eaters (hamburger tacos, chicken tenders, a basket of fries). We wandered around the place while we waited—the vibe and style are eye catching! From surfboards to guitars, vintage signs to unique electric liquor signs, pool tables to classic video games (which we were told are free, making my kids’ day!). There was plenty to look at, including several TVs. The hand-cut homemade fries came first, and even though they were too hot to handle, we couldn’t help digging into them, eating them with the fry sauce. Entrees came next, hot and delicious—the fish tacos with Rick’s tomatillo ranch sauce were super fresh and tasty (and I assume the other tacos were—they were chowed down), and the burgers and patty melt were generous, and delicious. (Be sure to ask for tomato, lettuce, pickles, onions, etc.—they’ll make it like you want it!) The TVs provided a variety of options to entertain us (sports as well as Fear Factor), and the owner let me son play a guitar that was on the wall by the small stage. All in all, straight up 10 out of 10s for us, for the kind of place it is. We’ll definitely be back!
