5 /5 Andrew Chen: My final review of 2025 is reserved for the absolute best experience. Easily the closest thing to Japanese food in Japan in America. If theres one restaurant I would recommend in the Seattle area, this would undoubtedly be the one.
The experience first started about a week before as one of the hosts was kind enough to accommodate a reservation for Tuesday night at opening. Upon entering, we were greeted with the traditional Japanese welcome of "Irasshaimase!". The service was top-notch. Our waiter welcomed us, answered any questions we had, and consistently checked in throughout the entire process.
We ordered the Akiaji Tendon Set with Tencha Set, Black Truffle Grilled Steak Don, and Creamy Hokkaido Uni Udon. The portions here are very generous. For two people, this would be a lot of food, but despite "feeling full", we kept eating because the food was just that good. There were many other items on the menu that we wanted to order, but couldnt. More to return for during the next visit!
