4 /5 theedronus: First time going and the customer service was extremely courteous and professional. The atmosphere was very warm and welcoming.
The food overall was pretty bland and could use some seasonings. Im not a professional chef nor food critique. However, my Grandmother has had and ran a couple of restaurants, and her food was always on point.
1.)Some of our Pineapple Coconut Shrimps were undercooked, and the coconut was subtle in taste. (I recommend cooking the shrimp to a golden brown, and also recommend homemade coconut batter.)
2.)Coleslaw was bland. I couldnt taste the vinegar or any seasonings. It tasted like cold cabbage. (I recommend adding a squirt of lemon/lime, a dash of sugar, a dash of salt/pepper and other necessary spices/seasonings.)
3.)The Chicken Fried Steak was bland as well. The vegetables were delicious and on key (I recommend brining the steaks prior to battering. The batter was peppery and overpowering.)
4.) The sweet potato fries were undercooked and some were wilted, however the salt was perfect. (I recommend adding an Italian/sweet and salty season to the fries and frying them just a little bit longer.
5.) The BBQ sauce didnt smack me with any new flavors, pretty basic sauce, and not enough sauce was given. (I recommend offering different flavors of sauce during ordering. I dont know if they have other options but I wasnt given an option to choose.)
Overall I was satisfied with the food in a small town setting.
I will definitely be going back and give an updated review. I look forward to my next visit.
Thank You.
