Brandon Robertson I have used Hi-Tech automotive as my primary repair shop for almost five years now. Rob and his team have always done a great job making sure my vehicles are not only repaired or serviced but also done in a timely manner. My most recent experience with Hi Tech was fantastic, as they were able to get me in same day when I noticed my brake caliper acting up. I had my rig back before the work day was over. Hi Tech cares about their customers and will make sure you’re back on the road in no time!

Brandon Nootenboom I purchased a new to me 2020 X7 that had been regularly maintained with receipts, but at 90k miles I wanted a professional opinion, recommendations and a full inspection. Upon speaking with Graydon, we agreed it would be a good idea to do a complete fluid and filter change as preventative maintenance. I am glad we did because as he suspected most of the "lifetime fluids" were pretty nasty. I believe that he is honest and has the customer and the vehicles best interest truly in mind. Thank you!

Patty Meritt Fantastic service! Janelle and her team really know their stuff and their service is exemplary. They fit us into the schedule so we could catch the ferry to Alaska, and they kept our classic car under their care, garaged every night until we were ready to sail. They found a small fuel leak and repaired it. That could have been a huge problem for us. We cannot recommend them highly enough!

Cheresh Matt (MC) Jeremie went over and above with a very difficult problem on my 25-year old truck, for which parts are not readily available. He spent way more time than he charged me for. Thank you, Jeremie!!

Megan D I cannot say enough nice things about my experience here. Very knowledgeable. Diagnosed and fixed multiple simultaneous part failures in my AC saving me the cost of replacing the whole unit as recommended by my regular repair shop. The work was done right and the owner himself put me back on the road in no time!

Kyle Felmley Alex is the most friendly mechanic you will ever meet, and he does a great job. His whole crew is clean, and that is saying something, considering the fact that they are working in the grime and grease of cars all day. Jacob Loisel I took my 2004 Silverado in for some repairs and Alex was very honest and easy to work with. Alex was up front with how much it will cost and there wasn’t any surprises on the bill. He isn’t trying to rip people off like other shops would and he looked over the whole truck and found some other needed repairs. As well as recommending what should be replaced in the future. I would recommend him to anyone. Very professional automotive shop I won’t go anywhere else. Make the right decision and call Alex he will get you back on the road worry free.

Robert Kirkbride Excellent service. Needed new tires and was able to get an appointment within a few days. Billy was very helpful and provided us with timely estimates for different tire options. On day of installation time for completion was right on and very timely. Prices were very reasonable. We will definitely be back for all servicing needs for our 2020 Volvo.

Tyrone Horrace Travis and the team offer excellent, high end autobiography care. All costs are up front and Ive always felt that the prices are fair and the service is top-notch. When I have a problem, I can give him a call and he provides good advice over the phone and schedules service if needed as soon as possible. Ive been using TK automotive for a few years now and it feels awesome to have a mechanic I trust.

Marlis Brown TK fixed a rear seal leak & put in a new clutch in my newly acquired 2001 Mustang Bullitt. This shop is very knowledgeable about everything related to your vehicle. I was referred to them by another shop & I am grateful for their expertise.

Andrew Clemans I was changing spark plugs for my sisters car it broke the threads and was stuck. Needed a shop to help finish the job and called several. SK was the only one willing to give me a quote and it was incredibly reasonable for the work that was completed. We brought it in over the weekend and they were done by Tuesday morning, faster than any other shop had estimated. All of this with a phenomenal inspection done on the car with great recommendations and no hard pressure to my sister for needing to complete extra work. Fast, transparent, great communication, and very reliable. I have worked in the service industry in Whatcom County for five years and if you need a shop to work on you European vehicle this is ABSOLUTELY the spot to bring your car. paul hanaoka Mike and Peter run a great shop, while it can take a few days to get on the schedule I see that as a positive sign! Even tho it can be inconvenient - it forces me to think ahead and plan. They do a great job servicing my car, and are great about catching potential issues without being overly pushy/salesy. Highly recommend!

diane norman My 2017 mini Cooper needed its annual maintenance. They took care of a front nonessential cosmetic Spoiler hanging down below the fender. I trust them completely for the great service they’ve given me over the years and they alerted me that I need new tires before the fall with a recommendation on where I might get them in town —most appreciated.

Steven Wallace My check engine light came on. Pros: Friendly. Quick to get an appointment. Diagnostic process was thorough and code confirmed. (They didnt just pull a code but tested the turbo, response, and verified symptoms.) Performed a 3-part EGR chemical cleaning including both intake and exhaust sides. No up selling. Visual inspections. Fixed the problem!! Cons: I was originally told a price that was $300.00 less than the final bill. The diagnostic service was evidently not included in the price. To avoid "sticker shock" clarifying the out the door price. If not for that, I would have given 5 stars.

Hildi Larson Beau was a pleasure to work with! He is incredibly thorough and makes sure that you feel in the loop throughout the entire process, which I really appreciated. His process includes sending detailed documentation & photographs of what it is he is working on. Ive always felt a bit nervous choosing a mechanic and with Beau I feel confident that he is doing what is right for my vehicle while also letting me know what things can wait & what should be at the top of my priority list. He is happy to explain the "why" which I found so helpful. My car was not feeling great to drive when I brought it in and after he worked on it, it feels like a whole new vehicle! Kona Beau at Manieri Motorworks has worked on both of my vehicles. A 2013 F150 and most recently my 2008 Mazda MX-5. I wanted to upgrade my suspension on the Mx-5 to something much more sporty. Beau did an excellent job all around and Im very pleased with the results. I highly recommend Manieri Motorworks.

Kameren Joe is not a man of many words, but thats only because Joe is an absolute old school savage who buries his nose in his work, of which he obviously takes great pride in. This was my 3rd trip to them (each time with a different vehicle) and each time he has taken great care of my vehicles and given more than fair prices, and has gone above and beyond to make sure my vehicles are 100% road worthy. I brought my 92 4Runner with just north of 263,000 miles in just last week with it barely running adequately enough to get up and down the road. Upon paying for his labor and leaving his shop, it is back to full power and is driving just like it did the day it left the show room floor. Joe has my loyalty as a customer for life.

Bethany Flint Staff was friendly, communicative, and wise. I appreciated the way they did not charge any money without gaining prior approval but communicated the testing, ordering, and repair process in order to take each step as it came. I liked the appointment scheduling process and the central location. They were very clear about what they could and could not do as well as their process strategy. The work, communication, part ordering and eventual repair was done in a much shorter time than anticipated. I felt very cared for and will return to Joe’s again.

Brian Corey These guys are my new go to when I need assistance with classic car repair in Bellingham. I needed to get my 1949 Plymouth running a bit smoother for my wedding and I kept putting it off until just days before the big day. They got me in and provided a fast oil change and tune up and we were able to drive away from our wedding day without issue.

Tim Surratt Mint and its predecessor Keith Cox Automotive have kept my 2007 Z4 in great shape since 2010. They have solved both easy and difficult problems for me and have provided excellent advice on the care and maintenance of my car. Were they not in Bellingham, I would not have been able to keep the car I love for as long as I have.

Lauren Coble I was extremely impressed with the kindness and care I received when I brought my car in. A bunch of the check engine lights were going off and I was very concerned. The mechanic came out and explained everything to me so that I could understand. The quote they gave me was slightly more than what I ended up owing so they are quite accurate with their estimates. I will be bringing my car back here in the future and the rest of my families cars as well (at least the kind that they work on). 100% would recommend to a friend!

RICHARD SCHWARTZ Josh mentioned he would like to be a yoga instructor, the perfect temperament for someone trying to keep Vanagons alive and well! We made it all the way from Seattle to Bellingham on our Alaska trip before noticing an issue of concern (par for the course when on a Vanagon safari). He assessed the situation for us, walked us around the van for a pre-trip inspection and then took care of what needed to be done and pointed out things we should keep an eye on. Alaska here we come! Addendum to my review. For years we have not been able to use the heating/cooling controls on the dash to get outside cool air into the van, the air was hot no matter how we set the control levers (not fun on hot days). We have put off dealing with it figuring the entire dash would have to be pulled apart to get to the cables and it would cost a fortune. I mentioned it to Josh and he immediately grabbed a few tools, hopped into the drivers seat, popped off the cover over the gauges, and made a few adjustments. It took all of 10 to 15 minutes. Today we have cool fresh air coming in! Clearly Josh knows every square inch of these vans.

Patrick Gillham Josh and team at Reference know how to keep VWs and other vintage vehicles road worthy. Josh knows the idiosyncrasies of these vehicles that most mechanics don’t. Reference does excellent, timely work at a fair price. They also can help you prioritize and budget repairs and services. They got my westy ready for a 3000 mile road trip on AK Highway (it had been un-driven for 2 years prior). Vehicle ran like new from Bellingham to Skagway and back, with many miles on rough road. Will definitely go back to Reference in the future. Thanks Josh and team!
