5 /5 Thibodeaux Iconic (Iconic Thibodeaux): We had fun at this little museum! Its self walk through. Plenty of fun facts and information on the critters they do have. I wish it was more! But I loved all the bugs that were kept in shadow boxes. Theyre all so unique. Be sure to donate so they can keep it open! Theres a QR code inside as well as a little donation bucket.

4 /5 Ganesh Kumar: Small free museum. Variety of lizards and snakes. Informative description on boards next to it. Bugs are limited but good scientific info on the back end of the museum. Overall takes about 30 minutes to see everything. They also sell some fun souvenirs. Limited parking outside.

3 /5 A A: Thought this was a cool place to stop by as we were passing by. I was soo sad to see myrtle. She doesnt have the space to swim. I cant tell when reptiles are stressed they all seemed to be in good condition basically sleeping. I donated hoping that it will go to improving their enclosures.

1 /5 Dennis Deitchman: This place just sucks. The conditions the animals are kept in are terrible. Everything gets the same ambient humidity and temp no matter if they are a tropical or desert species. A FEW enclosures had heat lamps. Things that arent supposed to be out during the day had a open hide so they cant actually hide. There is an ant farm on the wall with hundreds of dead ants and maybe a few live ones. A small moth cage full of dead moths. The water bowls for everything looked like they hadnt been changed or cleaned in weeks. The guy at the front desk didnt look up from watching TikTok the whole time we were there.

Joshua Fagan: An extremely pleasant free museum in the heart of Bremerton, an exhilarating testament to the naval history of the town and how it is interwoven with the history of the United States as a whole. Admittedly, the museum felt a little smaller than it probably was owing to the large group of schoolchildren who were here at the same time as me, but Im not going to begrudge the kids their excitement, which felt very genuine, and they even adored the large typewriter on display as though it was a mystical treasure. As for me, I greatly appreciated the diving helmet, which felt so intricately made and tactile, a visceral emblem of a distant age made close by the enchantment of the museum. The discussions of what sailors have worn over time and the underlying social and military factors that led to those shifts was also fascinating. Like all museums that are worth exploring, it is a friendly meeting place of past and present, where the stories and episodes of the past are reinvigorated with life for the next generations.

Lions Park - bremerton - Bremerton

Michelle Cardwell: Ive been coming to this park since I was a teen for the past 30 years. It is very beautiful but was not always like this. My first time there picture nothing there just rocks not even the grassy area.... They created this revamp and its merged into the beautiful park it is today. It has enough space for people to spread out but graze by the other park goers in a friendly vibe. There are also, 5 total parts to this park the other two hidden in hindsight. Just enjoy it and if found and please dont encourage to find it. It is simple just the way it is.

Illahee Preserve - Bremerton

Brian Bennett: I have been walking the Illahee Preserve for the last five years and have walked there in all four seasons. I went there recently on Saturday afternoon in June. The weather was mild and cloudy with a temperature of 60°. I did my favorite walk around the perimeter of the park and did not encounter a single person on the trails. The park is five minutes from my home and adjacent to one of the busiest commercial corridors in the county. It is an absolute gem. The trails are meticulously maintained and well marked with location signs. This is my go to place for both my mental and physical health. Thank you to all of the organizations and volunteers who created and care for this resource. How lucky we are to have it in our community.

Dickerson Creek Falls - Bremerton

Christopher: It’s a 1 mile hike to the falls, it’s uphill at first then levels out. There’s no signage for the falls except right before you get to it. To get there go through the two metal poles in the parking lot and continue straight until you come across a sign that says Zach’s landing. Go to the right of the Zach’s landing sign and continue straight until you see the sign for the falls. Note: There are black bears in the area during summer.

South Kitsap Regional Park - Port Orchard

Mary Shams: Such a nice little park. It has a really great adventure trail so you can take kids for a walk in the woods and theres plenty to keep them entertained. I love how this park is usually pretty empty. Theres also a nice covered picnic area and soccer fields as well!

Log Cabin Museum - Port Orchard

Mariah Ham: The view from that hill is awesome. We went for there FREE pictures with Santa. A beautifully decorated tree near a warm fire place and a vintage bench seat with Santa, who has a real beard and plays the role. You bring your own camera, if you want to be in the photo they are happy to help. Quant cute little cabin that has events year round.

Port Orchard Waterfront Park - Port Orchard

Noel Tiongson: Bring the kids to the park right on the water. Enjoy a well maintained paved trail. Perfect for roller blading, skate boarding, walking your dog, bicycling, ect. Feel the nice cool breeze on skin. Listen to the waves. Watch the birds. Stop by one of the local bars or restaurants. Perfect place to unwind and relax.
