5 /5 Kari Toyama: I dont write a lot of reviews, but I just love this place. I have been trying to find the right salon for a few years and I think this is the one Ill stick with for a long-while. The products, the front desk staff, and of course the stylists are just incredible. At my first appointment, Althya asked me about my hair routine and current issues I was having (even though I was there to get a color treatment) and actually came up with a plan to treat my dry scalp. And for the first time in SO many years, it actually worked! I also highly recommend Althya for any hair painting - shes just fantastic.

Rory & Fran so my cut and Cole which always makes me feel beautiful. Tony and the front desk staff are always helpful. I can’t say enough about this wonderful place. It will always be my go to for beauty & style!

They make you feel fancy with a warm towel and tea while you wait for you appointment. +1 for Cori Kellys hair chopping skills.

5 /5 Dorian Long: The atmosphere at coupe rokei was amazing! I felt so taken care of and supported during my entire appointment. (And I applaud all their efforts and precautions to keep both the customers and staff safe during Covid.) I came in not knowing what I wanted to do with my hair, but Collin was great in helping me figure out exactly what I wanted and much more. It’s clear the stylists love what they do, and do an amazing job of sharing that passion. 10/10 will be back :)

5 /5 Grace Cheney: I had a fabulous experience at Coupe Rokei! A very chic, clean, relaxing atmosphere, and a friendly, helpful staff. I initially went in to get my hair styled a certain way, but after a little consultation, my stylist Odie Lewis had me convinced that I would be happier with something else. She was super honest with me, and had a lot of good information about helpful hair tips and things I can do for my ultra-fine-no-volume hair! I really, really appreciated it! The cut she gave me is the best cut Ive ever had, and Im only sad I didnt go in sooner! Odie was so cute and fun to chat with and an obviously very talented stylist. My experience was pretty pricey, ( > $250 with product) but I felt pampered and attended-to, which is always important to me in a salon, (especially at that price) and again, the cut was so great! I loved my experience at Coupe Rokei and cant wait to go back in for a touch-up!

The last four years Ive only seen Mel at Paint Salon for my hair. Ive been highlighting my hair for 15+ years and can honestly say this was the best salon experience Ive had! I get washed out easily because my skin tone is cool and I have low contrast. Mel understood the *subtlety* that I wanted for my hair in adding dimension while incorporating my natural color. Mel really listens to the nuances of client requests and shes great at cuts as well as color. Plus shes lovely to interact with! Also the front desk/scheduling staff is welcoming and helpful.

Melissa Ann: Wow! I went for a cut and balayage last Friday and I can say I was more than impressed. Lenny is not just very thorough and talented, hes extremely kind. We started off with a consultation which I didnt expect but really appreciated. Lenny truly cares about listening to your needs and giving you the best experience possible. The studio is also very personal which is great for introverts like myself. The best way to describe my experience is this; going over to your best friends house while they do your hair and youre laughing, watching the best movie on Netflix and forget youre even getting your hair done because youre having too good of a time. See Lenny if you not only want a good haircut/ color but also if you want to meet a genuine person that cares about helping you out!

Divya Mathew: Ive passed by Hair Studio 18 quite a number of times and one day decided to stop by for a consultation and prices and spoke with Dana. I read the positive reviews about the salon and specifically her, and decided to give them a try and Im so happy I did. Dana is a magic worker with a sweet soul :) She is a talented hair professional with extensive experience. I got a hair cut, balayage and a keratin treatment done here. For context, I have thick, black, frizzy Indian hair and wanted a sleek but natural look and she delivered it. She told me exactly what to expect, calmed my anxities(mostly because of bad experience in the past). She answered my questions and never lost patience, she even shared haircare tips. I bought the shampoo and conditioner that she recommended from the salon but it was not a sales pitch in anyway. You can tell that Dana genuinely cares about her clients and strives to achieve the results they want. She did her magic and Voila! (See pics for results.) I get so many compliements for my hair, all thanks to Dana :) Ive found my stylist! P.S- This is washed and dried keratin treated hair with a dark balayage, as per my request.

khanh bui: My wife went here to have her dead ends cut off and a bang trims. She specifically asked for 1/2 an inch off but was told it was going more than an inch because of how much there was. She accepted the recommendation. She was then offered layered cuts, which she refused because she had had it before, and it did not look good. The stylist did the layered cuts ANYWAYS. Causing her hair to look awkward and choppy. She then asked for a bang trim with specific instructions that only her existing bangs should be trimmed as she has her specific preferences. The stylist cut her bangs and then ADDED more bangs but cutting off hair that she was trying to grow longer. A visit that was supposed to be around $80, but because she forced the layered upcharge, it became $100. My wife even tipped her $20 for her hair to not only be ruined for MONTHS; she would have to get extensions to fix the damages that were done to her hair. We are expecting a refund AND additional compensation for my wife hair treatment. Her hair was so bad she came home, CRYING to me. Pictures are of before and after. $120 to get her hair ruined and self-image destroyed. This review will be published on other platforms as well. Please advise when visiting here that your opinion does not matter.

She is very knowledgeable about color and super talented with such a gentle touch when it comes to cuts and styling. I’ve never been disappointed and my husband always raves about my hair when I get home. And to top it off, Lindsay is the sweetest, most wonderful girl!! Joe, the owner of Joe Bae, and his lovable dog are a joy to know! He has created a fabulous salon and filled it with kind, creative humans. As I venture forth in my next chapter of life in California, I shall miss this shop and most especially Lindsay.
