Kirstie Ader: First review a month ago. Second review date from first: 4/30/24 When we first moved to the area in August we needed a doctor quick. this "medical professional" was a delight at first. Until it came to med refills. It has been nothing but a hassle getting any sort of meds refilled through her since seeing her. She knows my 12 year old is suicidal and Ive been trying for a week and a half to get his Prozac filled. He has an appointment Tuesday. He is now out of both Concerta and Fluoxetine which Ms. medical professional was well aware he was low. I am one very unhappy mother and would not recommend this place for anyone. The lack of care for their clients mental health stability is astounding. She knows my childs meds are not working but wont touch them. Dont go to wahkiakum family health center in Cathlamet! I am still shocked at the incapability and ignorance of realizing that this patient cannot be without his meds which she clearly stated in her office notes that were read to me by the receptionist. Dont see this medical professional! 4/30/24 update on this "professional" I was still getting refills through this medical professional while we switch providers. I called for a refill 4/19/24.... to find out she called in the WRONG dosage. i have taken the same dosage for over 2 years. which she would have seen if she checked my records she desperately wanted.... i didnt notice until i called the pharmacy for my refill to be told its too early. I had to wait to call until 4/23. Called... didnt hear anything back so i called again Thursday 4/25. refill was called in 4/26 for a dosage fix but insurance bounced it back as not covered. Ms medical professional left the office at noon and did not have her MA check in to make sure it was received. It had been a week without the med at this point. I then had to call and speak with someone else who couldnt help because it wasnt his mistake. no big deal. I let her know in mychart that i was still having issues and have been completely out for a week at that point. she failed to understand STILL that i was completely out. It took my husband calling threatening legal action to get this place to get in gear and get me taken care of. Being on antidepressants for 21 years this is not something someone should ever have to deal with. This office has been the worst experience with medical professionals. I would not recommend them to anyone.

Family Health Center - WK Clinic - Cathlamet
Connor Gerber: If I could give a no star review, I would This clinic is barely managed, calling whatever theyre doing here management being entirely too generous. My main issue is with a particular employee, a nurse, if memory serves, who I wont name drop out of politeness, which apparently she lacks, as well as a sense of basic professionalism. Why do I say this? Because of what my partner and her family went through at her hands. Most recently this came in the form of having my partner wait in a room for about half an hour during a time one would not call busy, then, when the nurse finally decided to show up, did not do a proper examination of my partners actual problem. She simply listened to the issue and on the spot called the problem a sprain without looking further. She decided this was worth at least $100, which wasnt covered because the staff also neglected to let my partner know that their insurance hadnt been renewed, much to to my partners surprise. Now Im aware that that technically isnt their job to let a patient know that insurance lapsed, but you know who actually bothered to check if my partners insurance was valid? Kaiser Permanente, who ALSO were kind enough to give a proper examination of what was bothering them. A day later we had medication that took care of the problem, super easy except, apparently, for this particular nurse. The problem goes much deeper than negligence. In fact it goes into outright malice. Ill preface this bit by saying everything Im about to say are allegations. My partners parent is constantly wracked with pain due to too many compounding injuries and conditions to count, and at present are barely able to function around the house without help. The nurse in question, you know exactly who you are, decided to take this person off of their medication, including pain medication. This nurse also, allegedly, mismanaged my partners parent by confusing them with someone else entirely and never bothered to do the professional thing, which would have been to correct the mistake. Instead this nurse decided to double down and put on said parents medical paperwork to not be given painkillers due to alleged suspicion of substance abuse, which is ironic considering this nurse has been alleged to show up to work stoned, absolutely reeking of it. Can I prove these allegations? No, which is why Im firmly and repeatedly noting that theyre allegations. What I do know for a fact, after living with said parent and my partner for a time, is that my partners parent cannot currently get any painkillers for the intense chronic pain they have to live with, and now have an intense distrust of doctors. Allegedly because of this nurse on staff. To you, nurse, and if you bothered to read these grievances you should know who you are, I dont know how you sleep at night but I suspect its under the influence of something very potent because I know I couldnt live with myself if I pulled anything like this. To those of you looking for a clinic that cares about you, I strongly recommend avoiding this one. Find something else in network, go to Longview if you need to, because anything is better than the treatment youll receive at the hands of the nurse in question.

Kat Rodriguez: This clinic is the absolute worst I can not believe we stayed as long as we did. Starting when my oldest son was young a doctor calling him fat. We finally moved him out and got a new amazing doctor. Than my youngest son most recently last few years since he was born a year later had a bad reaction to the MMR vaccine his doctor ordered a referral. Months later after I contacted them about it they said oh there is no one who does it but we will try Yakima so we waited again. Later he was diagnosed with alopecia also referral sent when I asked about the first referral they were brand new to the information finally a while later they said oh we know what’s going on now we will have to send you to Spokane or Seattle. I said ok that will work months later STILL WAITING. Today we go in for a yearly check up for my teen we have waited over a month for this check up as there is some pressing medical questions the receptionist was absolutely rude. The girl she was training looked embarrassed ( don’t worry girl you did great!) but the girl training her was rude rolled her eyes and tapped her feet like she was very bothered by our presence. She stated “we don’t take that insurance “ we have been at this clinic for a long time and have had this same insurance for over a year! What do they mean ? My son has been seen last few months a couple times even nothing was said then either, we didn’t receive notice of this change from the insurance or clinic. Than she proceeded to say out loud for the whole office to hear UNLESS YOUR KIDS ARE IN FOSTER CARE OR ADOPTED NONE OF THE DOCTORS WILL SEE YOU. 2x in 3 min she said this out loud. How embarrassing God forbid there be a child in Forster care or adopted ( forgive yourself for that one girl) After they consulted with a seasoned receptionist about our insurance we were asked to fill out forms to request a change in insurance, I was sickened by this service by this girl all around I decided to just walk out. Now my teen who needed to be seen by her doctor will have to wait for a new doctor elsewhere. My preteen will now miss out on basketball because she won’t have a updated Sports physical done in time ( her appt was previously scheduled for this coming Friday 1/17 that was also made over a month ago. Shame on you Walla Walla clinic for this treatment shame on you for training new employees how to invalidate emotions and discriminate against people who are not adopted or in foster care and for calling out anyone who may be in foster care or adopted. I know first hand how it is to be understaffed but you can not be so desperate to allow snotty, uneducated employees represent your clinic. Do better , be better, treat others with respect.

Betty Newby: We were supposed to get a handicap ramp for my husband, the guy that came out was a total jerk, ball faced lied to me. Brought out a huge wheelchair ramp that ran out almost to the street took up all of my parking pad, left me nowhere to park, he blocked every entrance into our front yard and then kept tell me it was required, LIAR, I called the state it is rise over run my steps are 15in the was supposed to be 15ft which would have been perfect. Now i have to hire someone to dismantle it so we have a place to park. He tried to bully me when i told him i was calling the VA he said wont do you any good they are used to dealing with people like!!! He said your husband signed for this, my husband has Dementia and doesnt remember signing anything. The Va has not bothered to call me back, not only is he ripping me off he is Ripping the VA off by installing these big expensive ramps that people dont needor want.

Demi Davis: EDIT: I was encouraged by my neurosurgeon at Harborview to seek care at my nearest hospital to follow up on a drug reaction that may be affecting another preexisting condition I have, (he was afraid of brain swelling). I came alone, against my better judgment as my 4 year old had the flu and I did not have a baby sitter, so her father couldn’t come with me. After past experiences I was too afraid to enter the er once I had parked in the parking lot. In desperation I called the charge nurse (this was Christmas eve so I couldn’t speak with quality control) explained that I was told to seek help here, but that I was having a hard time entering because I had been misdiagnosed in the past leading to a very severe extended drug reaction that could have been treated there had bloodwork been done. She was extremely understanding, gave her permission to look at my labs that had been done at the urgent care a day prior so they could see the correlation of off the chat eosinophils, and histamines in response to a round of medication I had been prescribed by another provider. In this visit (Christmas Eve), I was treated with kindness and compassion; something I was not expecting after past experiences here, but I was extremely grateful for none the less. The Dr. I visited with left no stone unturned and did do the imaging my neurosurgeon requested. Luckily no new anomalies were discovered despite the migraine I walked in with, and the blood work was found to finally be stabilizing, with the help of prednisone, which the Dr (Jones) was kind enough to extend the prescription until I am able to meet with my neurosurgeon in a week. My only encouragement for this hospital left is to always check eosinophils levels if someone who doesn’t have a history of psychiatric or gastrointestinal issues suddenly come down with them. It can save their organs and mental health. Giving psychotic meds to someone who is experiencing allergic reaction delirium isn’t helpful, can cause you to become aggitated and experience a worsening of psychosis, giving those practitioners attending the patient false confidence in the belief that, “this person is just crazy”. It’s akin to torture, and you don’t even realize you’re doing it. This can really make a normal average every day person not only distrusting of the very people who are supposed to be trusted in a medical crisis, but resentful. I took almost two years and two rounds of this medication to discover the culprit because of a lack of blood work in response to sudden mental and physical deterioration. I am extremely grateful to Dr. Aaron Jones for his diligent and compassionate care in a time when I was extremely fearful and distrusting. A little faith has been restored, and that’s been the greatest gift this Christmas. Dr. Billingly…for the love of god man..DO LAB WORK. You could have caught this, and saved me 6 separate visits to the urgent care and ER over the last three weeks, with one simple lab test. When I finally got lab work 3 days after seeing you, it was still so high I can only imagine how bad the blood work was when I was in your care. After seeing you I deteriorated QUICKLY, and was too afraid to return in a more timely manner, because of the way you brushed me off as an “anxiety” attack. I should not have to tell someone who went to school for nearly a decade that anxiety meds alone are no match for off the chart histamine and drug induced eosinophilia. Again, thank you to St. Mary for doing the right thing and giving me the stabilizing care I desperately needed even if it came extremely late..better than never. Ya know? Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, to anyone who took the time to read this exhaustive report on my recent experiences at this particular hospital. We have changed our previous one star review to a three. But if we are reviewing dr’s alone, I would give Mr.Jones a five.

Val N: One of the best ERs Ive ever been in. With a lot of kids, visits are constant...but they are always so kind. Long wait time can sometimes be expected as they go by urgent needs first, so just plan for a minimum 4 hr wait time. But they do a thorough check each time and they never make you feel like youve wasted their time. Thank you amazing docs and nurses, especially Dr. Brown!

Noelle Janee: When I first started going here the service was great, now it’s downright dangerous. After calling in a prescription in the timeframe posted on their website it wasn’t filled. When I called they said it would be 7-9 business days to process a refill request despite their website stating it’s a 72 hour period which it has always been in the many years I’ve gone there. This is a medication I can’t go without or miss. The care team was condescending and rude when I called about this issue. This resulted in me needing to go to the emergency room to get my medication refilled. This was the second time I had to wait an extraordinary amount of time for a refill after my doctor appeared to forget I was taking a medication and failed to refill it after I got the required bloodwork I was asked to get done for the refill. I feel the need to add that my elderly grandmother who also goes here was prescribed a medication with an ingredient that’s she’s deathly allergic to and which is noted on her chart. I cannot express my disappointment in this once good establishment. I genuinely believe this is a dangerous place to go for healthcare.

Christine Dern: Usually I have good experiences here. Wait time can vary depending on time of day and how many patients are in. Doctors tend to be pretty good though once seen. Recently I stopped by after a full day of working because my PCP is out of town and I waited in line to check in, watched someone get checked in then was brought to the front. I was asked what I needed to be see for. After telling her I was told they took their last patient for the day. The hours online say 8pm and this was at 6:15pm. I think it’s reasonable to update your hours because that’s nowhere close to 8pm and I wouldn’t have bothered if I knew you stopped seeing patients at that time of the day.
