1 /5 TYRAH: I brought my vehicle to this shop after an accident. The owner Greg Ireigbe told me my A/C condenser needed to be replaced because itās āusually damagedā in these types of situations. I trusted his recommendation and paid for parts, labor, and an A/C refrigerant recharge. My receipt clearly lists these services.
Less than two months later, my A/C stopped working. I had no prior issues with my A/C before his repairs. I called the shop to discuss the issue. Thatās when I was told by Greg the business is not licensed to perform A/C work and that I would need to take my car somewhere else. This was concerning, as I had already paid this shop for A/C-related labor and services.
When I asked for the name and contact information of the shop or person who supposedly performed the A/C work, the owner gave me conflicting stories. First, he told me another shop had done the work. Then, when I asked for their information so I could follow up myself, he claimed that person was āon vacationā and he didnāt know when they would return. After pressing for clarity, he eventually stated that the āother shopā and the person who supposedly did the work do not exist.
He kept the labor charges despite admitting he was not licensed to perform A/C repairs. He also refused to fix the issue.
I was misled from the very beginning about who was working on my car. This is a clear example of deceptive and unethical and fraudulent business practices. I paid for work this shop was not legally qualified to perform. Instead of making it right, the owner gave false information, admitted to misleading me, and refused further responsibility.
I would strongly caution others before trusting this shop with your vehicle. My experience shows a pattern of dishonesty, lack of transparency, and refusal to stand behind their work.
