1 /5 Julia Strouf: I’m only giving one star because I have to to place a review. Dr. Island is the flakiest doctor I’ve ever dealt with in my life. He’s supposed to be this specialized high risk pregnancy expert, but he didn’t even remember telling me that one of my twins died and the other one was a girl earlier in my pregnancy. When he visits with you it’s very quick. He doesn’t have time really for you. He doesn’t spend more than five minutes around you in your room or anything he scheduled my induction for this morning so my family drove through the snow for several hours to spend several hundred dollars on a hotel rooms And I get there to check in and I’m informed that he’s rescheduled my appointment without notifying me and does he plan on reimbursing any of the money or expenses that my family has paid to be here for this today? No did he even dignify me with a phone call no This doctor cannot be trusted. Nothing he says he ever falls through with. He told me multiple times he was gonna schedule me on my next appointment every time I had a next appointment, he told me the same thing if I was you, I would steer clear of this doctor and his flaky shit. I will not be delivering my child in Aberdeen or with this doctor. In fact this doctor will never see me again after what he just did today.

1 /5 Ellie Rice: This is the closest hospital near me that takes my insurance. Ive had multiple bad experiences here. When my dad was dying of his dementia he was in the hospital here for a month ish and they took horrible care of him. Every time we visited him he hadnt been cleaned and his diaper was never changed. I understand that he was a difficult patient considering his condition however there is never a good excuse to leave a patient in his own feces for hours on end. As a caretaker myself that is never okay. January 17th, 2025 I had a miscarriage that lasted 11 days. I went to the emergency room mid miscarriage because I was in a lot of pain and bleeding tremendously and they didnt see me for 8 hours. Then by the time all the tests and everything were over they said they couldnt confirm that it was a miscarriage (even though it was painfully obvious) and that all they could confirm was that the baby was no longer in my uterus. On top of that they were cold and heartless when they finally told me the baby wasnt there anymore. It was the worst day of my life, they could have been a little more sensitive rather than just trying to get me out of the room. I also went to the er last night for a workplace incident which is what I led with and the nurse not only didnt put the right info about what my symptoms were but she didnt start the workplace incident paperwork so now instead of being on bedrest for my mild traumatic brain injury like Im supposed to be, I have to go back to the hospital to start and fill out the paperwork so I can put in for my workmans comp. If it werent the only place that took my insurance I would never use this hospital.

2 /5 Seamus Hansen: My mother just went through here, the receptionist assumed we were visiting instead of admitting a patient without even asking and delayed my mother getting treatment, then they were treated very poorly during intake at triage, the people who work intake were very mean and dismissive of my mother, basically accusing them of faking symptoms of a stroke and insinuated that my mother was weak for crying when they couldnt move their left side. When my mom actually got to the ER, the doctors and the nurses were very quick, professional, and compassionate, hence why its not a 1 star rating. The people who admitted my mother in triage were horrible and vindictive.

5 /5 Elizabeth Ann: I was truly ill,felt terrible....I was there 2.45 hours,had labs multiple sticks, got IV acces,had IV pain medication, multiple meds ,,The Dr.,nurses,were very kind ,explained everything I needed to know. I THANK all that helped me

1 /5 Unapologetically ME: 3AM only 1 patient in waiting room other than us came in with a acute patient with serious medical problems and was left sitting waiting. Asked the other lady how long she had been there she said 4 hours. Spoke to the lady sitting at desk who checks in folks that was talking and laughing with another employee. I told her Im taking him to another hospital she says " I can have a nurse come out and speak to you we can have him transfered safely to the other hospital" so it takes calling them out for them to do there job. They dont even carry the medication he takes at this hospital so he is always transferred out. NEVER AGAIN I HATE THIS PLACE! THEY DONT CARE
