5 /5 Austin Mitchell: I highly recommend. I had inguinal hernia surgery in Oct 2023. Despite Overlake Hospital refusing to operate on me because there was a chance of permanent damage, I found Dr Wixted. Its been over a year since my surgery, and I have been able to enjoy running and skiing again. No discomfort at all.

5 /5 Karen Patton: I cant say enough good about Kitsap General Surgery and Dr. Thomas Wixted. (and the ladies who alway answered the phone or returned my calls were professional, kind and so helpful!) I had changed insurance companies and was unable to find a PCP available. I would make an appointment then be cancelled at local medical centers 3 times from January to June. My chiropractor contacted Kitsap General Surgery when he incidentally found a mass near my spine/psoas muscle. KGS took me in immediately and Dr. Wixted became my doctor the end of June, and said he would take care of me and see it through to my treatment and outcome. He has and continues to take amazing care of obtaining the best treatment possible for my mass. He initiated ordering the labs and scans and had it all ready prior to my appointments at Fred Hutch Cancer Center 12 August. I appreciate his care and concern and taking such fast prompt action when he learned about my mass. No one else was available or cared enough apparently elsewhere. I now have a new PCP who is just as caring and working closely with the team to ensure I get the treatment and care I will need. So a huge thank you to Dr Wixted for treating me like a person who had medical needs that needed attention. ;-) I highly recommend KGS and Dr. Wixted without question! Karen Patton Belfair WA

5 /5 Tori Cavallero: Dr. Guenterberg was awesome with putting my port in. Ive had nurses and doctors comment on how well my port was done. He made the experience as pleasant as possible and my port works great.

5 /5 Colin Rhodes: I was referred to Kitsap General Surgery for a gallbladder removal. The scheduling process was very efficient as I completed the initial consultation with Dr. Wixted and was scheduled for surgery at SMMC in Silverdale within 2 weeks of the referral from my PCP. Dr. Wixted clearly explained the reason(s) for having the procedure sooner rather than later, the full prep-surgery-recovery process and what to expect, fully addressed all of my questions and as others have highlighted visited before and after the surgery at SMMC and personally called my wife with a status update immediately post-surgery. Overall, I would highly recommend KGS.
