5 /5 H Gail Allen: I visited Mexico this February for the first time, I’m 83 and had walked with a cane for 4 years. I lost my passport and had to stay for an extra week. What to do for that extra week besides sea and sun? What my friend did was call his doctor, Dr. Rosa Maria Martinez. She came out to his apartment that day on her way home, examined me and made appointments, one for X-rays the next day and another with a orthopaedic doctor the day after. She also checked my meds, because the extra week in Mexico left me short, and left me a prescription for enough to tide me over until I got home. She was so thoughtful and efficient. I was so grateful.
That would not have happened in Canada. Doctors don’t make house like that. And to make arrangements then for other appointments right away? I really felt she was magic. Thank you.
