1 /5 Van Pham: This review is in regards to the billing issue I have from a visit at this facility. They need to get their billing process organized and thoroughly documented. I got persistent issue with them NOT being able to even SUBMIT A CLAIM to my insurance and it’s been 2 years since the visit in 2023.
First they mailed me a letter saying my insurance ID was missing. So I called their billing and the representative apologized since he actually found my insurance info. A claim was just never submitted so he told me to disregard the statement, AND I’m positive that he verified my info again just to make sure. He assured me it will be taken care of since the info were verified and correct.
A year later, they hit me with a full uninsured balance again. First a rep said “your insurance was rejected” but couldn’t provide a reason for the rejection. So I checked my claims portal there was no history of this claim ever being submitted, let alone being “rejected”. Then another rep came in passive-aggressively told my insurance ID was missing, there was “no response” from me so it got pushed back to my statements. Do they even keep track of any patient communication or their own billing process?
I provided my info, again, just to get it over with, they said to check back within a few weeks after the claim has been processed. A few weeks later, I got a statement with the full balance AGAIN! Frustrated, I called my insurance directly and they confirmed, there was no record of them ever submitting a claim to my account. I had my insurance CS called Overlake billing, and for the n-th time, I hope this will get resolved since there should be no way that they have the wrong/missing ID now that my insurance rep personally gave it to them. I feel like their quality has gone significantly down with others also leaving bad reviews recently. I will just stick with UW Medicine going forward.
