04-2025 PeaceHealth Peace Island Medical Center in Best 4 MEDICAL SERVICES near Friday Harbor, WAWhidbeyHealth Primary Care - freeland - Freeland Jack Alexander: I went to a doctor appointment so I could establish care with a new doctor in freeland. Since they get a new doctor every 6 months for some reason. They work with the walk in clinic and share information in the system. to preface this off, I wannan say I have Been calling them, sitting on hold just about an hour every time, listening to the same two hold music songs so i could ask about how they said Id be getting a call about a consultation for my collarbone since I went in there over a week ago. First time I called, they said "Ill send you your x rays on email" and I said "I already got my x rays when I went into the walk in clinic 3 days ago" then they said, "well what do you want?" I said "I wanna know who they are referring me to." They said "I dont know yet. Is there anything else you want me to help you with?" I calledtgree to four days later and they said the same thing, then, I actually went in there foe my therapy appointment and talked to my therapist. My therapist and I talked to a lady who worked there, and said "hey he has a displaced broken collarbone and they said they were gonna get him a referral for a consultation, can you get Nancy to let him know about it?" The lady said "I dont work with that department and Nancy isnt here, referrals usually take 10-14 business days, unless theyre urgent." My therapist said, "yeah, but hes in a lot of pain, can you at least let them know" the lady said "I know, but if its been a while since the fracture, its not urgent but ill write it down". she wrote my name and birth date on a paper towel, and probably threw it away because the new doctor I was seeing just started working there and didnt even know I had a broken collarbone. I told him about it, he couldnt find any record of it, when he finally did, he said that "well, I just started working here 2 weeks ago, but on behalf of whidbey primary care, I am sorry, your fracture report got lost, we dropped the ball" I said, "well I tried calling like 2-3 times and talked to someone face to face and they said it would take 14 business days" he said "what? Thats crazy? Maybe if youre getting a colonoscopy! Wha- thats crazy! It shouldnt take that long for a displaced fracture with little pieces broken. You shouldve gotten in right away!" He said I would be getting a call today or tomorrow from an orthopedic surgeon. I would rate them 4 stars before this happened because my only problem at that point was they had a med doctor who they had working in freeland primary care for a week but moved her all the way to oak harbor. I also would have given them more stars because of the new therapist and new doctor was helpful since he finally got notified about my broken collarbone, however, its unbelievable the amount of excruciating pain Ive been in BECAUSE of freeland primary care. I honestly think some people should be fired and some legal action should be filed against them with stuff like this going on
WhidbeyHealth Walk-In Care - Oak Harbor Amy Huwa: My husband went in with ear pain, throat, and sinus issues. Told them he had started the week with 103 fever, and these were his symptoms. At this point, his eyes were also swollen. The PA he saw literally came into his room, asked him about why he was there...did not once touch or examine him anywhere and said that he had pink eye and where do you want me to call in the meds to.
I took him to the ER, and he had a double ear infection, a sinus infection, and pink eye in both eyes.
The kicker for me is I know they will bill my insurance wrong, and I will have to call to try to get them to code it correctly...which never happens and I always get the run around.
To say I am disappointed in the care is an understatement. He literally walked into his room, crossed his legs and asked him his symptoms, and never once physically examined my husband. I hope this helps the clinic have an open and honest conversation about their level of care and a prompt conversation of what is needed to better themselves. Clearly change is needed.
Jefferson Healthcare | Medical Center - Port Townsend Jon Fox: My wife went into urgent care and saw Ingrid. I hate to say it but, cant they find a Dr. that has compassion. Unbelievable, when she asked if she could see Macey, Ingrid told her that patients dont have the right to see whatever Dr. they want. She was very short and rude and the worst, weve ever seen. Overall we love Jefferson Healthcare and I had a great experience with Shawnisa, in the sleep clinic.
Swedish Hospital Cherry Hill Campus - Seattle MJ Montgomery: Patient care from the doctors and most RNs were great. There was a traveling nurse who accused one of my family members with interfering with my mother’s care while she was a patient there. A different nurse (who wasn’t there during the interaction) pulled my family member out of the room, to sign a paper admitting to interfering with my mother’s care. The family member was advocating for my mother since the nurses were not listening to her and her needs - regarding pain management. My mother had extensive surgery. At 1 AM in the morning, when she finally fall asleep that same nurse flipped on the light and started grabbing my mother’s stuff telling us we needed to move to another room immediately so they could accommodate somebody else coming out of surgery. They moved us a couple of rooms down. No one else occupied that room for over 12 hours. From that moment, we requested not to allow that RN back in my mother’s room.
My mother, stayed for a few days there. I stayed with her there.
The cafeteria had good food options. I tried the salmon burger, cheeseburger, Philly, tater tots, fries, onion rings, and salads. The cafeteria had decent food.
The hospital is like a maze, pretty much like every other hospital. By the time you learn all the routes, it’s time to go home.
Parking is terrible, and expensive! There is some to our parking, but it is very limited and you have to walk a distance. The parking garage has plenty of parking.
UW Medical Center - Montlake | Seattle Hospital - Seattle Kristina Colleen: I received great care here. Of course there is a lot of waiting at the ER but this was much quicker and more efficient than other ER experiences I’ve had. All the staff were helpful, caring, and professional and really listened when I described my symptoms. Thank you!
Virginia Mason Medical Center - Seattle Billy D: The medical care was excellent, but your building layout sucks! I had to find Wound Care and no employee, no map, nothing helped me find it. If you move centers, you should walk it like a patient. I arrived 30 minutes early and wound up 15 minutes late. Crazy. Also, I had kidney transplant surgery and the day after discharge, my incision opened up and now I’m dealing with that. The doctors closing procedures need to tighten up a bit. Lastly, your communication between departments really sucks. I’m called 3-5 times a day and I’m told contradictory information consistently. I received a call asking me where I was and no one mentioned that they scheduled a meeting for me. Very frustrating.
Swedish Hospital - First Hill Campus - Seattle Marshawn Woods: My first extended stay in a hospital was here for 6 days in January. They took great care of me. The medical staff understood my anxieties & made me feel as comfortable as possible. The doctors made sure I understood the nature of my situation & provided me with any information I needed, financial support, including a note for my employer. The view was great, the food was good & I had a low sodium menu. The most special part of my stay was the staff: MAs, CNAs, RNs.. Every single one made me feel like I was their only patient & treated me that way. I was scared, anxious, never been admitted to a hospital before & was there for something serious & by the time I left I wanted to write a thank you note to everyone I encountered. They are the real MVPs. Thank you.
