2 /5 quik sell: Did not have a good experience taking my older model vehicle to Silverdale Autoworks. They performed an inspection of my vehicle and they recommended that I perform 3 repairs on my car. The first was to replace a few AC lines (quoted $2100), the second was a replacement of an axle assembly ($4000+), and the 3rd was the replacement of a CV axle ($600). I was told that if I didnt perform the repair then my vehicle could breakdown while driving and that it was a huge safety issue. After researching all three issues and taking my vehicle to another mechanic who did a proper diagnosis, it turned out that two of the recommendations were solved without any repair needed and the third was repaired at 20% of the cost of the silverdale autoworks quote. In all 3 recommendations, it seemed the mechanic did not try to diagnose the root cause of the problem and recommended the most simple and expensive course of action, which was a complete replacement of the part. Because of this experience I do not feel like I can trust this company with my vehicle.
