1 /5 Debby H: Please do not use this company! Danger Danger! Hired them to install a fireplace insert. At first everything was good, they came on time and spent the day installing. As he was getting finished we noticed there was a plug going into a nearby socket from the fireplace. It was for the fan. We did not want a plug-in gas fireplace. He told us we would have to call an electrician if we didn’t want a plug. So we called an electrician and had it wired so the plug would not be outside of the fireplace on the wall. Second problem is that the fireplace face plate did not fit so he offered to have one custom-made. So far so good… but then, a few weeks later when we turned the fireplace on, the remote receiver overheated and an alarm went off and we could not shut the flame off, and we could not get the alarm to stop. My husband had to pull the bottom panel off and shut it off by hand. The technician had mounted the remote receiver underneath the logs and it overheated. We tried calling to give him another opportunity to fix it but he didn’t return our call. We then left a message saying we wanted a refund on just the fireplace and that he could keep labor cost but he would not call us back. He apparently is inexperienced in this area and doesn’t quite know what he is doing. We will get a second opinion and depending on the answer may have to go to court over this since we cannot use the fireplace that we paid $3800 for

1 /5 Linda H.: I called on Monday morning for an appointment. It is August so I had hoped to get someone in quickly. I actually spoke to a gentleman. I just wanted my pellet stove cleaned and serviced. He gave me a price. When I asked for an appointment, he advised me he would need to get back to me. It is Wednesday and he has not called back. I got the impression he was not interested in doing the work. If that was the case, I would have been much happier if he had just told me that. I will NOT call them again.

5 /5 Janet Scott: They returned my call within an hour or two and came out the next day to try and fix my natural gas stove. They were able to identify the parts that were needed but realized they were no longer available because of the age of the stove. They were very honest regarding their service in that they could clean it and possibly extend the life of the stove but could not guarantee it because of its age (22 years old). Their work was professionally and cleanly done but my stove was beyond repair, which my husband and I had already figured. They only charged me for a service call and we are going to have them replace our old stove with a new one. Highly recommend them. Appreciated their honesty up front.

5 /5 Janet Corlett: Here it is the coldest winter weve had in years and our pellet stove stopped working. I must have called 5 companies and Spokane Chimney Doctors were the only one to get back to me the very next day. Everyone else couldnt get me scheduled in less than a week to two weeks! Not only that, they came to my home in Cheney the very next day! They were professional, personable and reasonable. I will deal with them again in the future. You cant go wrong with these guys. They are a GREAT company.
