5 /5 Tess Cunningham: Definitely check out The Grotto! Its a cute salon tucked away. Everyone is so nice and the stylists all look genuinely happy. They are also taking COVID-19 very seriously, requiring temperature checks and hand washing upon walk-in. Staff are wearing gloves, masks, eye protection and thoroughly sanitizing everything. I definitely feel safe when I am coming in for my appointments. If you have to book with anyone, check out Jess. Jess is amazing! After a decade of dying my hair jet black, I decided to join the light side. Jess was very transparent with the process and all the steps involved. She explained everything she was doing in between the fun banter! She made sure the integrity of my hair was in tact and somehow after the lengthy chemical process my hair feels healthier than it did. I appreciate the care and work she did on my hair, she is now my go-to gal!

I’ve had so many great hair colors with her and she’s always so great to talk to and not like other stylists I’ve had where the conversation feels very forced or routine. I recently tried out a different color that I ended up being slightly apprehensive about and when I mentioned that she took me back in and completely transformed my hair. I felt awful for not being a fan of the color once it was on my hair but she made me feel so comfortable and at ease that it was not a problem and she’d get it fixed! She even gave me some silver shampoo and conditioner to take home to keep it fresh and ashy. I would recommend her to absolutely everybody as she’s truly such an amazing stylist, as well as she is the owner of the salon!

Deanna M: Got a botched haircut! So many people recommend a stylist here and I would never recommend or go back. The stylist that cut my hair told me to come back when it starts to look “like a mushroom” and when I styled it myself for the first time I saw what she meant right away. I couldn’t tell how bad it was at the appointment because it wasn’t fully styled, I was just given a fluffy blow dry. Really upset over it and having to feel like I need to hide my hair. It took another stylist an hour to fix the cut as best she could until it can grow out (she texturized it and thinned it out so it can be somewhat more controlled). I also sent the photo to 3 other hairdressers who confirmed the layering was not done well and I would need to grow it out as my best option.

Van City: Jaeden is an amazing stylist. I feel super lucky that I found her at Blessings Salon. She is really good at color and at curly cuts and I always feel so happy with my hair when I leave. And everyone at the salon is always so friendly and cheerful—the front desk is super helpful and the salon owners seem to really foster a great environment for everyone. Highly recommend!

I didnt have a great experience at the last salon I went to, so I was a little nervous. The stylist I had seen was grumpy, hurried and didnt give me at all what I asked for. My experience at Studio One Twelve was such a pleasant change. I saw Erica and she is FANTASTIC! She listened to me, made some suggestions as well and I left with the haircut I had been hoping for a year ago. The salon is clean, inviting, quiet and easy to find. I will definitely be back and will recommend this salon. Thank you Erica and Studio One Twelve!!
