5 /5 Laura Lee Roznowski: Surely this church is doing Kingdom work right here in my neighborhood. I had my pick of 6 locals and had been studying a thick book called “HEAVEN” by Randy Alcorn. 25 years of his Biblical study of every aspect. He referred to a number of REVELATION scripture that got me excited. I had been praying the Spirit would lead me to a church I could serve and grow in. As I pulled up to the doors, several greeters advised of an easy place to park. My heart skipped a beat when I saw the banner that said the book of REVELATION was being taught. Expository teaching. I LOVE that the congregation has time to personally pray together with the leader who expounds upon the 4 elements of a wholeness prayer. How I have longed for and found a home church.
5 /5 Thomas Magnuson: They teach the gospel of Jesus. The elders and deacons lead well through service. This congregation serves the community. It is a wonderful family to be a part of. Its all about Jesus here!
5 /5 James Wetherald: Not too loud or showy. Mellow congregation and happy. Very friendly environment. I had a thinking of personalized without mass production quality while attending.
5 /5 Ray Hall: Turning point is the great church if youre looking for a Spirit-filled church and youre visiting the Olympia area. Everyone there is very friendly including the men that are outside watching the parking lot helping people come in and go out helping with parking. The door greeters are very genuine and honestly nice people. The members are all welcoming and great people and the staff is extremely courteous kind and helpful.

Church of Living Water - Olympia
យូរ៉ាយ Uriah Lyford: Incredible worship experience and preaching of the word in a way that is authentic, vulnerable, and honest. Hard to find a community that feels safe to share our struggles while steel holding firmly to the call of becoming more like Jesus and contending for victory over those struggles. I was able to share openly about my past including several years of addiction and mental health issues and I was only loved all the more.
New Bridge Community Church - Olympia
Jen Procick: I love New Bridge. I love being part of a church where i feel wanted and seen. Ive been attending for 4 years now. Being part of this church just feels like family. Love being an active volunteer, especially with the youth groups. Curious about us, come check us out. I just may be at the door to greet you myself some time with some of my middle school youth!
The United Churches of Olympia - Olympia
Amanda Jones: This is a fantastic church that is open and welcoming to all. The two pastors are kind and loving. The sermons are current, interesting, and usually have just a bit of humor in them. People here are very friendly and genuine. The choir director has a long, distinguished career with world famous choirs and offers incredible voice trick, vocal health advice, and general teaching of musicality. You have two options: the early service is a more social meeting where time is built in to discuss questions from the pastors with others at your table. The second service is in the traditional sanctuary with the choir performing and the chance to be in a big, beautiful space. The youth here are some of my favorite people. Theyre considerate, kind and lean in often to help the church community and to do projects for Olympia as a whole, while also being silly and light hearted and most definitely playing a good game of spoons whenever possible. If youre church shopping and looking for a church that is open and affirming, I recommend this church highly. Ive been very happy here and feel incredibly loved and cared for by the community and pastors that make up this church.

The worship is amazing with a great leader. Dave is great at what he does. I used to think church was all about money. But the value you get from this church money cant buy, the relationships and love. I found a new family.

St Johns Episcopal Church - Olympia
Kathleen: Im not a religious person, but we were invited by a neighbor who is the musical director of this church to watch a show, The Lute Legends Collective. This group is comprised of three musicians from different cultures each playing the version of the lute that came about in each culture. The three performers were Chinese, Palestinian, and Canadian, and they not only played, but they also shared information enjoy the history of how a common instrument, the lute, evolved in each country. They had played at Benny Royal Hall the night before, so this was indeed a unique opportunity to see this caliber of performance in our community. The church is also progressive and welcoming to all, which is in line with my morals and values. This made it comfortable to participate, knowing everyone is equally valued and welcome.
Grace Community Covenant Church - Olympia
Hans Funk: This is the first church in 9 years that I have almost immediately felt like I could call home. The worship team is one of the most diverse and eclectic groups I have ever heard, truly gifted and anointed - they play wonderful music. The messages I have heard really seem to come from the heart, and the congregation shares their prayer requests openly in service. Truly a welcoming, relaxed, and inviting atmosphere of community.
First United Methodist Church of Olympia - Olympia
Thomas: When I first began attending services, I was taken in by the friendliness of the congregation, its childrens moment/message during the service, and its incredible and robust music ministry (praise team, choir, and bell choir immediately come to mind). These are the elements that truly unite everyone and keep me attending (for now). While I am still attending services for now, it is very disturbing to hear the weekly messages/sermons. While God/Jesus is mentioned (seemingly in passing), it is not the main focus. There is far more mention of/ emphasis placed on political messages and comes across as a political push and/ or to place blame on certain societal demographics. The last truly uniting message was for Christmas 2022 (even the Easter message 2023 had numerous outright political mentions). There tends to be a fine line between faith and politics. The weekly messages have mostly crossed that line. Please focus on the UNITED in United Methodist, and on praising God and Jesus throughout the weekly messages, instead of dividing His Kingdom through the use of political rhetoric.
