05-2025 Willamette Dental Group - Bellingham in List 6 Dentist Open Saturday in Bellingham, WA Piper Family Dentistry - Bellingham Tiana&Ward Boyd: I changed my dentist because my previous one stopped accepting my insurance, so we contacted Piper Family Dentistry and were told that they were preferred providers for GEHA.
During my visit, they asked if they could take x-rays. I agreed, provided that the x-rays were covered by my insurance. I also mentioned that I chose their office because I liked the hygienist they had. However, when I arrived, I discovered that the hygienist was no longer there.
My technician assured me that the x-rays were covered, but I later found out they were not, and now I have to pay more. The dentist was nice, but I will not do business with a company that misrepresents itself. They will bill the insurance, but they are NOT preferred providers, and regardless of what they tell you upfront, they will charge you.
I find this office unethical and not forthcoming. They waited until I was in the office to inform me that the hygienist no longer worked there and then changed what was covered once I received the bill. The second star is only because the dentist was pleasant.
Bellingham Denture Clinic - Bellingham Hung Nguyen: My Mom had really good experiences service with Bellingham Dental. Thank you Lisa and her team! Lisa is very helpful with her knowledge professional even our English is barrier. Also My Mom had to leave overseas and Lisas technicians helped to finished it as earlies as they can with the best quality! Their guaranty made us happy too! Recommended to everyone and friend family too!
Tetrick Family Dentistry - Bellingham Laura Burke: Great experiences all around. Dr. Jill is always caring and efficient, and every hygienist has been friendly and capable. It’s always easy to schedule, I’m in on time and out quickly. Hands down the best dental care I’ve had.

Gentle Dental Sehome Village - Bellingham Vern Western: I needed a new dentist after recently moving to Bellingham. Gentle Dental is close to where I live, and accepts my insurance, so I went last week. They were able to schedule the initial visit within a week after I called. They were able to contact my old dentist in SoCal to have previous X-rays sent. My initial visit was for evaluation, and was quick and easy. I was scheduled for cleaning just a few days later, and that went very well, also. I have no complaints. The cleaning was thorough and painless, and everyone I came into contact with was excellent- friendly and efficient. All of my questions and concerns were answered. Gentle Dental will now be my regular dentist.
Moreno & Young Dental - Bellingham Pete Holeman: Until I found Moreno and Young I had given up on dentist and took a 10 year hiatus. Dr. Young are kind, professional and efficient. My dental cleaning doesn’t hurt and they don’t try to upsell me on unnecessary dental work. I recommend them to all of my friends and family members.

I went in for my appointment my today - after calling and confirming they accept apple health, I get to my appointment.
After giving the front desk my apple health card she tells me “your card isn’t working.”
Mind you two of these girls at the front were completely unprofessional - were not listening to anything I was saying and kept making me repeat myself.
So I proceed to call my apple health and figure out what’s going on.
As I am calling apple health, they decide to take me back to my appointment- WITHOUT CONFIRMING MY COVERAGE!
I am told if I don’t go back there they will have to reschedule me for 6 months out.
I am taken back to a room - absolutely no privacy- they don’t shut the door at all, and I am trying to tell the lady I don’t feel comfortable being seen without making sure I am covered as I cannot afford this visit.
She says to sit in the chair and fill out the paper work, and we go over some personal info.
We confirm that I am pregnant, and that I am high risk. She then tells me that we are going to the back to get X-rays. I told her I do not feel comfortable Getting an X-ray as I am high risk, and she proceeds to convince me that it’s fine and at this stage in pregnancy it doesn’t “do anything”
After going back and fourth she finally accepts that I decline an X-ray.
The experience with the actual dentist was fine, took all of 15 minutes, but then when I got out to figure out my coverage it was a mess!!!
Again, the girls at the front were looking at their phones, computers, even talking to other patients while I am standing up there.
I had to explain myself to 3 different women.
After about 20 minutes and getting super frustrated they proceed to tell me “we spelled your last name wrong, so that’s why your apple health card wasn’t working”
They did not apologize or seem sympathetic at all, they simply gave me my cards back and you’re covered have a nice day.
*sorry for the long post, but I am not the type to review anything, but my experience here was absolutely AWFUL and I would never recommend anyone go here!
