Michelle Gonzalez I have been getting my eyebrows and lash lifts done by Hana for two years now. She ALWAYS has done a excellent job. Before going to her I would get them threaded and never came out with a nice shape. She took her time to customize my shape and always measures them perfectly! My lashes look natural with a beautiful lift. I would highly recommend her, you would not be disappointed!

Flora Wilson I always feel brand new after Alison does my lashes! The retention is amazing, and she’s great at choosing a shape that compliments my eyes. When I find a great lash artist, I stick with them. I’ve also gotten my brows microshaded by Janelle. Her lines are very precise and even. Also, no pain! I drive 40 min from Bonney Lake to see these girls and refuse to go anywhere else.

Kalia Makes you feel very comfortable with such an intimate experience. Alesha takes her time with every service meticulously making sure everything is to your liking. Recommend!! Super comfy waxing bed too - you won’t regret it !

Paige Hansen Still really just treasure Alesha and her head to toe services. Shes always so pleasant and her facility is clean and comfortable. I look forward to seeing her every month or so. Stasha Moreno This was a recommendation from my sisters in law who both see the owner. I started seeing the other person in the salon Shantee, and I have had such good experiences! I haven’t had my hair dyed for 15 years and she did such a great job doing what I wanted. I was so nervous, and I couldn’t be happier with my hair! I keep coming back. I get so many compliments on my hair, and I love how she cut my hair too. The balayage makes a huge difference. I will recommend this hair salon to everyone! And I have to my friends. They are so nice, and I enjoy the small size, and personal feel of the salon.

Navi Boyd My first visit to this location was wonderful. Very meticulously clean, great vibe, and friendly, helpful staff. I had a signature facial and loved it! I don’t have much hair left to work with (yay, male pattern baldness!), but she always makes me look great when I leave the shop. 10/10 would recommend.

Daniel Lee Got my hair done here and the staff knows exactly what needed to be done for my hair. They knew what they were doing, they were friendly and reasonably priced. Natasha the business owner is the best, she is super good at what she does.

J Brotherton I’m new to the city, and needed my hair done badly. I looked online for some black establishments that had good reviews. I made an appointment with Tasha on Tuesday for Friday at 1pm. I arrived at 12:57pm and Tasha was no where to be found. A customer in the parking lot immediately told me she wasn’t there, but I went inside anyway to have another beautician tell me that I “might wanna call her to let her know I’m here”. That was my sign to leave. The small establishment has barber chairs, salon chairs, pedicure soak chairs & chairs turned upside down… it’s a trifling mess!! Black folk, we gotta do better. Find a real salon & stylist to spend your money at. We are waaaay passed “beautyshops”!!

Dakota Lamar Shame on the owner Tasha for being at home when I was outside at your shop waiting. I had to call and find out because apparently caller id does not work and I traveled 26 miles for nothing. Did I mentioned I took my braids out and informed her I had something to do tomorrow. I sit in the parking lot and called every salon near me that google recommended which took over an hour. Shame on you Tasha and no I did not want gas money but my hair done especially after I called yesterday and you assured me u would be there. Zero stars and black women like u make it hard for others. Do better and I will never recommend anyone there well u would probably cancel and make up excuses and lies. Check other reviews this is what u do and it is sad.

christina cornelio Booked my daughter for a haircut online. Online it is booked as a haircut and shampoo, her hair was not shampooed. Got home and let her shower, blow dried her hair and it was cut so choppy. I didnt expecting much given she has somewhat thick and wavy hair, but one side was way shorter and there were so many long strands I dont understand how those were missed.

Courtney Gnirk I made an appointment online for my daughter and was able to get in same day! Great pricing for a haircut and shampoo was $24. My daughter’s stylist was Frankie and she was absolutely amazing! Very upbeat, great skills, positive attitude, talked with my daughter to make sure everything was to her liking and also mine. 20 out of 10 recommend Franki as your next stylist.

E So I had been wanting to chop my hair and I’ve never gone to a salon I usually cut my own but for this I need someone lol and I chose the right place! She was so gentle and fast I was wanting to fall asleep lol. The price was so affordable but I think her work is worth more! I love my new hair, it came out so good! I will definitely be coming back

Jen Yeatman Eleanor works magic on my hair every time I go in! I always get a cut/style that works for my hair type and the time I have to style it, and the color is perfect every time! I wont let anyone else touch my hair, or my daughters! The salon has a great atmosphere and has a great selection of not only hair care product, but fashion items as well. I seriously feel like its a little vacation from life when I go in for a cut or color.

Naomi Herrera This salon is hands down the best Ive ever been to! Naja is a hair coloring goddess. The owners are amazing and passionate about their work. I love how they work as a team too! So you are getting the expertise from an entire team when getting your hair done. You can beat the atmosphere. Ive met some of the most amazing women who both work and receive services here.

Gale Gehri flanagan I have been having Cameron as my extraordinare hair stylist for 12 years now. She does such an outstanding job and my hair can be challenging baby fine and thin she does her magic paying attention to what works best for my hair health wise. I always leave her salon hair poetic in the proctor district feeling so fab. Cameron has become my friend over the years with her cool demeanor. My experience at hair poetic is just an awesome vibe I always look forward too five stars doesn’t even to begin to cover.it

Trish Hudson Ive been working with Cameron for a couple of years. I first sought her out after a really BAD old lady helmet hair cut but a "super trendy" (and expensive) salon in Tacoma. Cameron was extremely nice, patient and does really wonderful things. Since then, shes been tolerating my every changing plans for my hair style, and began recently doing highlights also. Her space is full of cheer and life. I recommend!

Jane H So disappointed! Hair appointment was scheduled 8 weeks ago for a trip out of town. I contacted by Marian about 2 hours prior and told she couldn’t make it. She offered 2 other appointments: one I had a work conflict and the other I would be out of town. Hair appointments are important to me, I plan my schedule around them. Marian seemed upset with me that I couldn’t accommodate her last minute schedule change. It is not accurate to paint the picture that this situation was MY fault and that I as not understanding. Be clear, there was NO medical emergency; Marion said SHE made a scheduling error. Plz don’t use the ‘medical emergency’ excuse when it is not the case. Again, as the customer, I am portrayed in a poor light. Maybe to correct the situation this business should tell the truth and treat their customers better.

Hellen Mabiriizi If you’re tender headed this is not the place for you. I have had the same experience with 2 different braiders in the same place. They grip the hair too tight and unfortunately I was unable to even let them know because from the moment they touched my head to the last min they were on the phone back to back. The phone calls aren’t even the problem, it’s the lack of attention for them to realize they are hurting you and the spits. After my first experience, I chose to ignore everything but this second time the pain had me on the edge of that chair.

Private Reviewer I do not recommend Titi African Hair Braiding and Weaving. The quality of their work and pricing is inconsistent. I was quoted one price over the phone, but then charged a higher price in person after the appointment was completed. When I questioned the owner, Titi, about the price difference, she responded rudely and aggressively. While I liked the quality of the work and the braider who did my hair, I felt compelled to pay the higher price Titi requested rather than argue. The first two hair appointments with the braider were satisfactory, as the quality of work was excellent. However, the third appointment is where everything went wrong. Upon confirming the appointment the day prior, Titi was evasive in discussing the pricing via text, which should have been a red flag. I had worked with her in the past, so I assumed the communication issues were due to a language barrier. As usual, I requested a specific braider because I am very particular about my hair. When I asked Titi if that braider was available, she assured me she was. I then drove from Seattle all the way to Tacoma, because this braider is that good. Upon arrival, I did not see the requested braider or her children. I assumed she was running late and waited 60 minutes for her to show up. I even told Titi that I would come back another time if it wasnt a good day, but Titi insisted I sit down. Against my better judgment, I did. To my surprise, a different braider then started working on my hair once I was seated. The entire situation was unsatisfactory and a waste of my time. I expressed my dissatisfaction to Titi about the appearance and quality of the braids. Titi responded defensively, stating that redoing the style would cost her money since she would have to pay the braider again for their time. Ultimately, Titi rebraided the style herself a few days later. In hindsight, Titi, was aware that the requested braider would not arrive for the appointment but deceived me about her availability to keep money coming into her business.

Michael Maertins I have been going to Diemy for over a year now, I must say she is by far the best hairstylist I have ever been too. If your a guy, totally legit! She is the real deal. Every time I leave I can’t wait to go back because she is such a fun person and great conversationalist. Totally professional, makes you feel amazing. She just moved into a new salon and it is first class all the way. I 100% recommend her as your new stylist.

Ned Jacobson Diemy has been cutting my hair for around 8 years. To say that she is the best is an understatement. I don’t know where to start. She has taken the time to get to know my hair and always has great suggestions and styles. I formerly moved to Kirkland and started going to the Gene Jaurez Men’s Salon in Bellevue and it was a total hack job. Diemy back to the rescue. Not only is Diemy a great stylist, she is a better person and has become a great friend. So thankful for this lady. Cheers.

Elizabeth Jones My honest review, after giving my hair about 3 weeks to settle. First off, the salon is cute, but dark (no windows) & parking is a problem. I want to see my hair is some daylight while there. When I met Jamie, she made me really uncomfortable, looking me up & down, didnt ask to take my coat, or get me anything to drink. Strange, but we got on track, then she and I discussed my hair. She did get colors right & gave me a blowout I liked for about a day. I dont know what color she uses, but my hair is completely dried out, even where she put the brown near my scalp, Ive never had it be so bad with color & toner & the worst part, my cut. for my curls, is so weighed down that it doesnt part well anyway I try to do it. I have to go get another cut & I asked her if she knew how to cut curls. No, I wont return, or recommend. Also, she tried to lie & say she does Brazilian Blowouts that are not damaging & dont contain formaldehyde. There is no such thing, so dont let her lie to you too.

Mari Barragan Chosen as always did a great job, she is the only reason we come to this salon. My son has recommended her to everyone he knows. He and his friends would follow her to whatever salon she is at. This last time, we needed a perm/cut on a specific day that didnt interfere with vacations and school, she connected us with Fabi who was able to take care of us on that specific day. Chosen is such a positive person, and you can tell she cares about her clients thats probably why she has so many. 5 Stars for Chosen Fabi did an amazing job. This was the first time getting a perm with her and he was very pleased. She took the time to explain everything to him. 5 stars for Fabi Yesterday was not the best experience we had at the salon. A woman in one of the rooms was cursing and berating Chosen in front of all the clients there. She apparently thought that Chosen was talking about her, but she wasnt, she was talking about salon set ups at this and other salons. Despite Chosen repeatedly trying to tell her to calm her down, and remind her that her attitude was unprofessional, the woman continued to harass her. Chosen did her best to mellow the situation, but the woman was out for blood. I can vouch for Chosen that she did nothing wrong, I was there and saw the whole thing. Not only were there kids in the salon, like chosen said they could have talked after. Chosen tried to play it off and apologized repletely to the clients although it wasnt her fault; the other woman kept on yelling and not once apologized for her behavior. The owner should let that woman go she clearly doesnt care about the reputation the salon gets. Chosen is the reason we came here; she is the reason we stayed and if the day comes when she isnt here that will be there reason we go. 1 Star for that awful woman

Greysen McLaughlin ! My son got a haircut and one of the other female workers was cussing his barber out during the hair cut. Only reason we came to bangs is for chosens cuts but the environment ruins the experience for him.

Viki Lareau I am so happy to have found Theresa at Salon Leo! My hairdresser of 30+ years retired a few years ago, and I have been struggling to replace them and spending a fortune to do so! There is no substitute for experience, especially when it comes to color services. With 15+ years in the game, she not only understand hair, but providing value. My appts have been less than $300 for a beautiful cut, all over color w/ balayage, blow out and tip! I have medium length, fairly thick hair. And being a Redhead - I am very picky about the color. Not many can do Red right. Everyone will be different, but this seems like a great value in todays market and with Theresas expertise! This is really what should determine cost (imo) The last stylist I saw bf Theresa had less than 2 years experience & charged me over $600 for a simple layering cut & highlights! The worst part is I looked practically the same as when I went in! I mistakenly trusted the long time salon (actually just around the corner) for being well known in Tacoma. I have seen Theresa 3 times now with next appt already on the books! FYI - she also owns her own salon in Seattle too! Being a salon owner, she clearly understands the importance of customer service & retention - knowing we are her walking business card. (the previous salon never inquired or reached out to me after) Sorry this is long, but if youve ever lost your long time Stylist, finally finding another is such a blessing and Im very grateful!

Kelsey Nugent Carina is great at listening to what I want and making my hair look wonderful every time (whether it’s just a trim or a dramatic cut). Plus, she is a kind human who puts you at ease while she works. Highly recommend Salon Leo!

Georgina Stewart Salon Leo is hands down the best salon I’ve been to in many years. Ally always took the time to listen to me and make sure she knew what I wanted done, and then delivered 100% of the time. The price was also really good for the quality of the work. This place is awesome!!
