It’s hard for me to trust people with my hair and with her I honestly just let her do what she think is best with the ideas I have. She is honest and up front with everything! Amy Pagano Chelsea and her hair studio are one of Tacomas hidden gems. She has such a gift for color and I always leave the salon feeling so happy with the outcome. She excels at personalized service and listens closely what her clients want at each and every visit. Although she is a color expert, she gives a darn good hair cut too! I also find her very affordable compared with other local salons. I have two friends who also visit Chelsea and both feel the same way I do. You wont be disappointed if book with her.

Viki Lareau I am so happy to have found Theresa at Salon Leo! My hairdresser of 30+ years retired a few years ago, and I have been struggling to replace them and spending a fortune to do so! There is no substitute for experience, especially when it comes to color services. With 15+ years in the game, she not only understand hair, but providing value. My appts have been less than $300 for a beautiful cut, all over color w/ balayage, blow out and tip! I have medium length, fairly thick hair. And being a Redhead - I am very picky about the color. Not many can do Red right. Everyone will be different, but this seems like a great value in todays market and with Theresas expertise! This is really what should determine cost (imo) The last stylist I saw bf Theresa had less than 2 years experience & charged me over $600 for a simple layering cut & highlights! The worst part is I looked practically the same as when I went in! I mistakenly trusted the long time salon (actually just around the corner) for being well known in Tacoma. I have seen Theresa 3 times now with next appt already on the books! FYI - she also owns her own salon in Seattle too! Being a salon owner, she clearly understands the importance of customer service & retention - knowing we are her walking business card. (the previous salon never inquired or reached out to me after) Sorry this is long, but if youve ever lost your long time Stylist, finally finding another is such a blessing and Im very grateful!

Ned Jacobson Diemy has been cutting my hair for around 8 years. To say that she is the best is an understatement. I don’t know where to start. L B Ashley is the best stylist in Tacoma for wavy and straight hair! She not only gave me an expert cut when I wanted shoulder-length waves, she educated me on how to style my hair and which products to use. My waves were more gorgeous than I ever expected!! Hannah L I’ve been seeing Dylan for my blonde highlights for years and she is great. I am always chasing that color my hair was when I was a kid, and she nails it. Her ability to color hair is unparalleled. When I was trying to decide who could do the most natural looking highlights, my friends who have beautiful complex fantasy colored hair suggested Dylan. They explained in order to have great looking pink or blue hair you have to have a colorist who fully understands how to add dimension with blonde first before you apply the extra colors. Turns out that is totally the case and I love my hair by Dylan.

Gabz Puz The gal that did my hair gave me a good shag cut and was exceptional in 2 unique ways 1. She was SO GENTLE. Im really tender-headed and Ive never had a hair appointment that didnt hurt before today. 2. She actually diffused my hair! I have wavy hair and folks tend to blow it out so I dont actually know for sure when I leave if itll look good with my natural texture. Today was probably the first time Ive ever left a salon with wavy hair! They were also able to get me in same-day which was really nice.

I got it cut about 3 weeks ago and I’ve been receiving compliments on the cut of my hair since. I showed her a picture of Julienne Hough with a thick cut that was mid neck. I have fine hair and the cut makes it look so thick and cute. Best hair cut I’ve ever had! Would recommend. All the ladies in the shop are nice. Also my price was $10 less than what was quoted over the phone. So thankful for this shop and Collett! I’ve also seen Natalie in the past and she is great as well.

Not only did she do my hair for my daughter-in-laws wedding, but she also did the brides hair and many of the bridesmaids. All came out simply beautiful! Kylie Lanthorn I’ve been coming here for four years, and never once has Nelly remembered me. My last haircut was so bad I won’t be coming back again. This last visit she said “you have so much hair next time ask for an hour” but she rushed me through a wash and cut in thirty minutes. As you can see in my video she cut the back really short when I had asked for long layers. It’s has made my hair extremely difficult to manage. When I got home there were also TWO long obvious pieces hanging past the rest of my hair she missed that I had to cut myself. I wish i had taken a picture it was crazy. Long story short, don’t come here. She is not personable, doesn’t take her time and made several mistakes on my hair.

Daryl Phill I had such a great experience with Blush and Braids Beauty Bar WA location. I do not wear a lot of makeup and wanted to have a more natural glam look. I loved their intro process for requesting an appointment. They asked all the right questions about typical skin care and makeup routine and what your vision is. I feel like it helped me better understand what I wanted lol. My MU artist was Katie and she was so patient and helpful with my trial. My makeup was exactly what I wanted and more! I didn’t have to do any touch ups throughout the afternoon/evening and i definitely cried a couple times lol. I felt so beautiful start to finish! Customer for life right here!

Dylan Blackburn If I could I would give them negative 5 stars. This salon is full of fraud and stealing clients money. They scheduled an appointment within 24 hours for my partner who woke up sick the next day. They then proceeded to charge her for the appointment and cited she was in breach of a 48 hour cancelation policy. It is ridiculous to enforce a 48 hour policy when it was schedule in 24 hours and then charge the client. I would advise any one sick with covid, the flu, other respiratory illness attend your appointment. Get the staff sick so they lose wages after stealing from us. Worst customer service ever! Edit following owners review... To note a $15 dollar fee at a doctor and a $250 fee are not the same. I hope everyone comes to you sick. Gets your staff sick and puts you out of business. Please dont act like you didnt have your stylist already there... once again the lies and ridiculous comparison to a doctor office is absurd. I hope you lose your license. I stand by my statement worst customer service ever!

Kelly Nassour I got the best hair cut of my life with Brittney. My boyfriend said I look like a Hollywood starlet and he really loves it, which was shocking because he usually doesnt have an opinion about my haircuts. I have a lot of hair so its really hard to have any kind of style other than long and layered, and I find that soooo boring. Ive been to some of the most highly rated, stupidly expensive "celebrity" salons in LA but Ive never found a hair stylist that could actually style a short hair cut with my hair, until now. Brittney is amazing. She gave me a very cool, crisp bob by taking weight out of my hair and not thinning it with wispy layers. She also helped bring out my natural curl. I usually only cut my hair when it gets to be too unmanageable, then grow it back out and repeat, but now Im going to go back and get consistent hair cuts with her. Not only do I get complimented on my hair all the time, some people will complement my hair so much that I need to just give them Brittneys contact so they can get a cut from her, too. She cut the back very symmetrically as well, it might be hard to tell from the photo of the back of my hair because I had to take the pic at an angle, but its perfect.

Rosalia Watson Erin does my hair here, and has done it a few times. She does an incredible job and my hair always looks so good I feel like I’m wearing a wig “new hair, who dis?!” She is incredible at what she does and does not charge me an arm and a leg like other high end salons charge me for a similar service. Other high end salons have charged me upwards of $300 for a haircut, wash, color, style, and dry. Her rates are much more reasonable for me around $120. Highly recommend!

Zara Lamey Blo Hair lounge is an amazing salon!! Best of the best. The owner, Kim is super knowledgeable about all things hair, one of the kindest, most genuine, down to earth person I’ve met. All of the stylists are top notch. The vibe at the salon is super chill, with a great view of Tacoma. I LOVE this salon, always feel so welcome here.

Casey Granger Kim’s been doing my mother in law’s hair for years and when I needed my hair done for my wedding, she gifted me Kim and she’s now been doing my hair for 5-6 years. She goes above and beyond to give me exactly what I want (and most of the time even better than what I envisioned). She’s the best! The salon is always super clean, cozy, and she always has the best music playing. If you can’t book with her, the other artists also do great work! I’ve seen so many amazing hair makeovers and happy customers. I wouldn’t go anywhere else!

Jasmine Matsumoto I get my hair done by Kim and she is amazing! My hair is perfection every time. The salon is beautiful. It has a funky, eclectic, chic style and the music is great and sets the tone for a relaxing & fun appointment. Parking has always been a breeze with lots of street parking right out front. There are a variety of products and Kim is always very knowledgeable about what products would work best for my hair. Absolutely love this place!!!

Cynthia Wilson I have seen Heather for many years at a different salon and was happy to come and see her at Left Coast because she’s the best! And I’m so happy for the move because Left Coast is such a great salon. The atmosphere is very warm and relaxed, I loved the decor and the open space. Everyone there was super kind, and they truly take care of and know how to work with all hair types. Highly recommend!

Boris Barthalomew This place is amazing. I googled “hair salon+curly+anxiety” and looked through reviews and websites. This is my Goldilocks place. Not too intimidating and not too….perfect? The staff I met were all friendly. Heather was (is-you’re stuck with me now!) my stylist. She was so kind to me. She took the time to explain what to do for my curly hair, what kind of products to use, how, and why. Tipping is not expected and I didn’t feel pressured to buy a million products. I’ve never been a repeat customer at any salon since middle school, but I will travel for this place. Thank you

Allison Raynier Amy was absolutely phenomenal! Not only does my hair look amazing, but she was also a great person to talk with the whole time. I love how she took a simple root touch up and blended it with what I already had to make it look seamless and beautiful. Highly recommend her and Left Coast in general! They are great people, super inclusive, and have made a lifelong fan.

Bailey Pangan Amy was amazing. I felt comfortable and confident that she knew how to help me. I can honestly say- and I don’t say this lightly as I am super picky with my hair -best haircut I’ve ever had. I’ve never been able to walk out of the salon loving my hair without going home and re-washing and styling it. And on top of that, she was cool as hell. Easy to talk to, funny, super nice and just lovely. Genuinely shocked at how amazing of an experience I had. Not because I had low expectations but because I wish I’d heard of this place sooner!
