Celia Curran First time here and I already know Im coming back. I just came in for a quick pedi, and they were wide open on a Saturday, which should be surprising but it was the first 70 degree day of the year. My biggest issue with most nail techs is the sides of the big toes issue (mine are just annoying enough to hurt without being medically ingrown.) My tech took so much time and care to ease the calloused skin out of the area while also carefully cleaning up all cuticles and hang nails. I havent even gotten up from the chair yet and I cal already tell that my toes wont be hurting for a long time. I will definitely be back and Im looking forward to trying out more services.

one family This is my first time trying out the Gel X. I was a little worried at the beginning, I am happy and grateful very satisfied with the result!! The color looks amazing and the tech was very patient and skilled. Hopefully it will last long enough for the price. I will definitely come back for my next design. Highly recommended!!!

Deleasha Vincent I am continually impressed by the quality of my nails when I visit Infinity Nails. Julie does a fantastic job, and I’ve yet to have a dissatisfying experience. I’ve been to this salon at least 10 times and they’re amazing!

Adelyn Ille Very poor service. They insisted i have press on nails which I have never once paid over $100 for??!!!! The quality turned out terrible, my thumb nail of course broke off the next day and I am super upset. I have a trip coming up and never get my nails done :( I do not recommend this place to anybody!!! Even a crackhead.

Sara Jenny is very nice and accommodating. She will try multiple colors for you before you decide. Prices are amazing, which you don’t see anymore in Seattle. Only giving 4 stars because the place needs a good cleaning!

Alaina Ankrom I have been to Nail salons all over the country and this place is by far my favorite! 2nd time going here. First-Gen family owned business, these people love what they do and are damn good at it. For about $50 I got a hot stone, 10-15 minute leg/foot massage, foot wax, salt scrub and lotion/moisturizer pedicure. This also included the nail color, foot maintenance (dead skin) nail maintenance and everything. They have massage chairs that work and the folks are incredibly friendly. Exceptional service, Clean and friendly business that plays classical music and covered in beautiful plants! I will be back :)

E M Wonderful nail service! Cahn did my nails, manicure with removal and shellac. Friendly, Clean, calm with classical music playing. Great price and a relaxing with quick shoulder massage and even paraffin wax. Worth driving up here from Downtown. Street parking available. They have a Punch card and even student discounts.

Kat Ingalls I decided to come here after reading the great reviews for dip manicures. First, I do want to say that the couple who run the place are very nice - the husband is the one who did my manicure, and was a lovely person. This place is also super clean, and I appreciated seeing that they don’t reuse tools. Now for the downsides: before putting on the dip, my nails were cut and shaped, but absolutely nothing was done to my cuticles. After communicating that I was primarily coming in for the “hygiene” aspect of the manicure, and wanted my cuticles cleaned up, there was a cursory trimming done. No cuticle remover, dead skin wasn’t removed, and cuticles weren’t pushed back at all. It’s been over a year since I’ve had my nails done, and about 3 since I’ve had a dip manicure - so I thought maybe I just forgot the “order” things are done in. I’ve never *not* had the basic cleaning experience included in a manicure (cleaning under nails, exfoliating dead skin around nail bed, pushing back cuticles). At this point - since I was directly communicating a desire for cuticle care in particular - I would expect to be told this was an additional service if that was the case. I wasn’t told that, but again, I’m assuming the best. The man proceed to do my dip color, which turned out lovely…except for the gaps around the color and my nailbed. (First photo, taken *during* appointment) When heading to the register, I did communicate a second time that I was expecting to have a *manicure* - not just color. I was told for the first time ever that “that’s a separate service.” That was never communicated. Even after I expressed my expectations *during* the appointment, this “additional service” was never suggested or offered. I left feeling slightly disappointed, but I didn’t want to leave a bad review for a small business. But now even the service I *did* pay for (“just the dip”) is not holding up well. I’m used to dip manicures lasting *at least* two weeks. This one lasted only 7 days before the paint started detaching. (Second photo) I wish this business well, but for a $45 “dip manicure,” I expected the manicure portion to be included, and the color to last more than a week.

Meagan Leader When I lived in shoreline I would always go to this nail place and Julie was always amazingly sweet to me. I feel none of the nail techs I have ever had compare to julie. Shes very friendly, personable. Im recently in downtown Seattle and been going to this nail place and they did my nails ok at times but this time messed up my nails badly. Julie fixed them for me, gave me a massage back and hand. She also does an amazing job with eyebrow waxing as I been there before for that. It took her a while with my nails but she took her time and made them perfect and fixed them up which I appreciated! My fiance agreed the nails look 100 times better! I would definitely go back to julie and travel to shoreline for my nails its worth the trip. If you are thinking of trying this salon you will not be disappointed. Just know she takes her time and does not rush but she makes everything look perfect in the end!!

Ina Stap Updated 7/30/22: docked off two stars because shellac peeling got worse while I was asleep! See last two photos. Worst shellac experience Ive ever had. (And I havent been doing anything crazy activity-wise) Duyen did an awesome job on my regular pedicure! It can sometimes feel like the Seinfeld episode with Elaine but the ladies seem nice overall. I love that this place doesnt require you to wear a mask like some other nail salons in Seattle but I was quite disappointed in my shellac manicure. Lint strands got stuck in a few places and usually my shellac doesnt usually start chipping so early (it hasnt even been a week!) I ended up getting 3 nails redone at a different salon (see photo #6); They initially thought I had a regular manicure, commenting on how thin the polish looked. I overall had a relaxing time and at the end enjoyed a little back massage, but got progressively more unhappy as time passed. I get shellac whenever I want my nails to look great for several weeks and have never felt the need to redo nails before. The shellac machines could use a cleaning every now and then (especially to minimize the chance of any possible lint/dust getting in there.) Would maybe come back for a pedicure... maybe. Hope the staff members visit other salons themselves to see how they could improve their business. Theres so much potential!

6.Opal Nail Studio

Address: 4155 California Ave SW, Seattle, WA 98116

Lillie Ponnusamy I really appreciate the products and care that Opal utilizes. My nails were getting weak with regular gel manicures at another shop, and I havent looked back since switching to Opal. Since all of their booking is online, I never feel like my service is rushed. And Kayla always brings my nail art dreams to life!

Irina A Tried this place out and I love it. If you don’t like the strong smell of a traditional nail salon you’ll love this one. It’s natural based, clean so if you get any seasonal eczema on your hands or anything like that this place is wonderful since they use mild or nontoxic products. Their products won’t trigger any skin issues. Alison is great. The polish she use doesn’t chip easily. Highly recommend them.

Kira Kearsley I was really excited to get my nails done here and booked an appointment online. I arrived on time, but when I walked in, no one greeted me or acknowledged me. After waiting about 5 to 10 minutes and checking my phone, a staff member finally asked if I was checking in. When I confirmed that I had an appointment, she informed me that the nail technician had gone home early due to illness. No one had called to notify me, even though I had driven a considerable distance to get there. Additionally, I had noted in my booking that I had dip nails, but they do not offer dip removal as a service. I also attempted to call ahead but was unable to leave a message. I was considering hosting my bachelorette party here and had booked this appointment as a trial run. Unfortunately, the lack of communication and acknowledgment left a disappointing first impression. One thing I noticed on their website is that they require clients to give 48 hours’ notice for cancellations or face a charge. Yet, my appointment was canceled within that same timeframe without any notice or consideration for my time. If the situation had been reversed, I would have been charged. It would be nice if that policy applied both ways so that customers are treated with the same respect the salon expects from them. That being said, the salon has a beautiful interior and a lovely ambiance. However, better communication—such as notifying clients of cancellations and acknowledging them upon arrival—would greatly improve the experience. ---- In response to your response: Thank you for your response. No, I had never been a client at Opal before, and I was looking forward to it. The reason I wasn’t a client is that I never received the service I booked. While I understand my appointment was made on short notice, the issue remains: I was not notified that the technician was unavailable until I arrived. I was told she had been there but left early due to illness, meaning the appointment was initially valid, yet I was never informed of the change. Additionally, your website does not clearly state that dip removal isn’t offered. I noted in my booking that I had dip powder and would not have scheduled an appointment had I known this. That said, I appreciate the referral to the salon down the street, as they were able to accommodate me—thank you for that. I stand by my review because customer experience is not just about receiving a service but also about how clients are treated from the moment they walk in. I hope my feedback helps highlight the areas I was referring to.

Lorraine Betts I am not new to pedicures and have had many over the years, but this was the worst experience I have ever had! The woman providing the service was extremely rough and it was evident that she didnt enjoy her job.The best description of her service is "brutal"! When she was done, five of my toes still had nail polish from a previous pedicure, and she even cut one nail until it bled. The finished result was uneven, jagged and looked terrible. To make matters worse, the foot baths were covered with plastic (why, in this day and age of no single-use plastic!), and halfway through the experience, I noticed that they were filthy with floating debris from my treatment (see photo). The entire pedicure only lasted 20 minutes, and it seemed like she was rushing, even though we had made an appointment in advance. I cannot recommend this place!

Courtney Lacy I really wanted to like this place as the ladies were nice and its close to where I live, but I did not have a good experience. I went in for a dip powder manicure and instantly got a little nervous when I didnt see the dip color samples at the front/waiting area of the salon. I feel like most establishments who do dips regularly make those available for you to browse while you wait. I got even more nervous when the nail technician pulled the dip powder equipment from a cluttered table in the back. It made me think they dont do these manicures regularly since the equipment is not already out at stations like other salons. The quality of the manicure made me feel like they dont do dips regularly, too. The technician who did mine got a lot of color on my skin and Ive noticed a couple bumps on my nails too. I was also disappointed in the lack of layers applied to my nails; theyre just not a thick as Im used to. The technician also never asked me what shape I wanted when doing my nails and the shape is a little inconsistent across all my nails. In addition to the quality, I didnt feel like it was the most relaxing or professional environment. The whole salon felt very cluttered and disorganized, which I think makes most customers also question the cleanliness, too. At one point, there was a woman getting a pedicure and her foot bath was starting to overflow. One of the employees shut off the water and then picked up a random metal bowl that was just sitting nearby. She then used the metal bowl to scoop water from the womans foot bath and into the empty foot bath next to her. The whole thing seemed really unprofessional and unhygienic. I think they also need to improve their air quality in the salon, too. The smell of chemicals was so strong I felt like I was getting a headache. When I got home, my partner asked me if I could change my clothes because they smelled so strongly from the chemicals. Maybe they excel at other services, but I would not recommend this place if youre seeking a dipping powder manicure or a relaxing experience.

Shannon S. For years I’ve had incredibly calloused feet and thick, short nails from a lifetime of working on my feet and struggling with collapsed arches. Devin did a great job at refreshing my dry, scaly and calloused feet leaving them feeling soft and beautiful!!! I’m going to try and make this a repeat service as my feet feel and look great!

Their waterless technique is so relaxing that I’ve fallen asleep multiple times in service. The pedicures are my go-to here and their nail tech, Devin, is experienced and knowledgeable. Would 100% recommend to anyone in the area.

Karen De Jesus Marie is the best nail tech in town in my opinion. I’ve been getting my nails professionally done by her for almost a year now and I am so grateful I found her. Very detailed oriented, clean, and knowledgeable in what are the proper techniques to insure your nails stay healthy. All the designs we’ve worked on together have been show stoppers. I can’t go anywhere without someone asking me who does my nails.

Karie Koltz I just love Marie and her nail studio! Nestled in the Puget Ridge neighborhood, Marie’s studio has plenty of free parking and is easy to find. Her space is clean, bright and open. She takes great care in my nails and creates a warm and welcoming environment. I highly recommend her to all of my friends!

Becca Hummel Every time I come here Marie knocks it out of the park, and she gets better and better every time too. Ever since I started visiting in January I have been visiting every 3 weeks for new fabulous nail art. Her home studio is clean and the instructions are very clear on how to find her. From the instructions in the first visit message to the little signage in the front of her home, you know immediately you are in the right spot. I was originally a dip mani girlie but was tired of ruining my nails — I thought because my nails were so soft I could never use gel. But my nails are healthier and stronger than ever and have grown out longer than I have ever had before!! Her nail art is fantastic and she is always learning a new technique or trying a new product to bring even more options to people. I love how I can bring her some pictures of art or sketch some crazy ideas and she works her magic to bring them to life!

Shai Walker Went here because I saw the great reviews and decided to check it out since its close by. Honestly terrible experience. Asked for a gel manicure and a pedicure, pedicure turned out great and I liked the lady who did it (wish I caught her name). Gel manicure was terrible. The lady was insulting me the entire time and saying that my hands/nails were too small to do or that they were too short and no one could do them. Which is simply not true since Ive been getting my nails done my whole life. Theyre a pretty normal nail length. She then got an attitude when I said I didnt want acrylics because Im trying to take care of my natural nails better. She did a terrible job painting them and they honestly look a mess. Ive done a better job doing my own nails. When we were done I paid but definitely didnt tip which I know she was not happy about. All in all bad experience.

Letty Arellano I had a great experience with Patty! I absolutely loved how my nails turned out. Exactly what I wanted. I am definitely planning on coming back!
5 /5
Wynonna S Don’t be fooled by the high ratings. I wanted chrome gel and they did not do it properly and the nail polish started chipping after 5 days even though they’re gel?? The nail techs shaped our nails unevenly and the “almond” shape we asked for was more of a round shape & they did not clean our cuticles properly either. Then when we provided them feedback about uneven nail lengths, they got mad at us. Overall a bad experience and it was pricey considering their poor treatment.

Skye Flores I am not a Washington/Seattle local, and as someone who loved acrylics done well and fairly priced, I’ve been looking for over a year for a local tech to do my nails. I had the pleasure of being serviced by Jenny, who did a fantastic job on my nails and the design I requested, getting my approval every step of the way before processing with the next part of the manicure. It was fairly priced, and they let me know the total cost of the set I requested before proceeding with completing my nails. I am sooooo pleased with my Halloweenish set :) The shop overall was clean, organized, and aesthetically very beautiful. My friend and I came together and after her pedicure was done they allowed her to sit with me and chat while waiting for my set to finish. Jenny was kind and conversed with me, and overall has such a talent for nail art. I will definitely be returning as a client for my nail needs.

Samia Mercedes DeCubas Excellent service. Gel manicure was $40 which is much more affordable than other places in the neighborhood. Xavia’s is clean, organized, warm, and welcoming! Plenty of color options and styles. The place is large and can seat a large party of customers. I’m happy to say that I will return as a loyal customer for hopefully many years to come.

Ashley Wright Booked an appointment for a full set gel x, was very clear the nail stylist had very little to any experience at all with gel x - from the nail prep, to applying the appropriate amount of adhesive, and even curing. Just over all a bad job. The adhesive is bubbling at the cuticle and all around the sides, she barely cured any nail. It’s been 3 days since my 70$ service and two nails have already fallen off. Would not recommend for gel x.

Leiren Designs The best pedicure I have had in town. I usually get the deluxe, but this time did the signature which included more massage and it was heavenly. I have had Vincent do my pedi and mani a few times now and he is so meticulous. The usually can accommodate walking in too, which is super helpful.

A T Striber Ive been to Hava Nails twice now (once as prep for my wedding)and loved my nails both times! I get the dip, deluxe manicure and its so worth it. I chose this business originally as I was searching for a salon that had COVID protocol in place. Their location is clean and everyone is wearing a mask. Im docking one point only because at my second visit, another customer was not complying with their mask rules. I understand its not Havas fault and they did give her a mask when she didnt arrive with one. However, this customer sat in the pedicure chair without the mask on and they let her stay. For a location clearly caring about pandemic safety, I would expect theyd say she needs to comply or hit the road!

N A I got a standard mani-pedi with regular, non-gel polish at this location. The location is new and very clean inside. Mostly very well ventilated and the air doesnt smell like cleaning chemicals or acetone outside of one small area. The chairs and equipment are new and clean. The pedicure was average, felt very perfunctory but I feel that is the case for most nail salons and nail treatments done outside of a spa setting. My boyfriend liked it so much he almost fell asleep it was so relaxing! The manicure was good too, and didnt take very long. They really push the gel polish here like most places. But I was shocked at how long my manicure lasted! Still going strong 10 days later. I would highly recommended if you need quality polish to last a long time.

Nanaelp Overcharged me for a gel manicure I asked for dip powder. They did not give me dip they gave me just gel and kept telling me it was dip powder and charged me $80. Never have I ever paid $80 for just a gel manicure which has already started chipping and breaking. I should have checked reviews before coming. I didnt come to argue then be overcharged for crappy service and not what I asked for. do NOT get any service done here they are scammers. I want my $80 back.

Tiny Tiger I broke a nail, and after I tried to use nail glue, and then press on nails to keep nail together, both methods failed. So, realizing I was starting to damage my nails, I panicked and made an appointment with Bojour to have acrylics put on. Ive only had a couple of manicures on my natural nails and had no idea what to expect. From start to finish, I was unsettled, but i figured i was just nervous to do a new thing. Despite me making an appointment, I had to wait a half hour for them to start. They didnt remove the nail glue from the drug store nails before filling (despite me specificity saying that it was there). I tried to ask questions about the process, and the nail tech asked if i was ok rather than answering my questions. They didnt push back my cuticles, and just a few days later, they already looked to me like they needed a fill. The nails themselves are super thick and uneven. I asked the tech to cut them short enough to be able to type for work, and she left them too long to do so. They put on a different color than I asked, when I tried to say something the manager came over and said that it was dark purple and would look like the color I picked when they put more coats on - I wanted a dark indigo but I got a deep plumb. There was a language barrier, and I have an auditory processing issue, so at the time, I chocked some of this up to the communication barriers. It happens to me a lot, so I just try not to be a bother and trust the professionals. Now, Im a week and a half out, and Im seeing lifting on most of the nails. The right pointer finger is the worst and is catching on my hair and clothes at the back end of the nail. Im also seeing a lot of chipping at the tips (was supposed to be gel polish). When it was time to pay, I was hesitant, and the tech pressured me into giving her a tip. I just paid and got out of there. I wont be back.
