Walter opened his shop on a Saturday just so we could look at a used car he had. He went out of his way to help us make it all go smoothly. We ended up getting the car and I really like it. Y.A.C. is the place to go if you want good customer service.

Colby Drye We purchased a car from here and it was an incredible experience… anytime you buy a used car the fear of what’s under the hood is always in the back of your mind… the car we purchased was very clean, well priced and had been thoroughly gone through and repaired… after purchasing the vehicle and being very happy with the deal we drove it off the lot… within the first week we had two mechanical issues (expected with a used car) we contacted the seller and they told us to bring it back ASAP and they repaired the car no questions asked… they are genuine people and take pride in the cars they sell, they are honest and work with you… the SUV we purchased from them is a great car and serves us well for what we need.

Frances Ochoa I originally took my family’s GMC terrain in for oil leak repairs. The GMC ended up stalling out the same day we were going to bring it into the shop. And my brother had it towed by Bilko Towing to the shop and he let them know the car turned off while trying to drive it over there. I thought they would look into both problems because I want a functioning car , but nope they gave me the GMC back with just the oil leak fixed I didn’t look at the paper work cause I had to go to work. When getting back home from work the car was having the same stalling issues so I made my way over to the shop again the next day and told them the stalling issue wasn’t looked at and they apologized for that and they missed that detail. I went back to the shop to pick it up when they said it was ready to go and they said the problem was my oil was overfilled, So they gave me a diagnosis fee, oil change and flush. So I’m just wondering to myself they sent me home the 1st time with an overfilled oil tank? When I first brought it in did they even check my oil level on a car that was having oil leak issues in the first place? Just doesn’t make sense. It doesn’t seem like they did much diagnosing and charged me for an expensive $360+ oil change and flush. Car is still having issues stalling which made it difficult during the holidays. I think I touched the engine more than they did. Got the check engine codes read - p00010 and I changed one of the camshaft sensors and intake and exhaust solenoids with the power of google. Gonna take it to a different mechanic tomorrow because issue is still persisting. They were fast though took them about a day or two to “fix” the issue. But I’m not taking my families car there to get charged another diagnosis fee.

Stephanie Schwartz My Jeep had been having issues with not starting intermittently. And it wasnt predictable. So when I took it to Jeep and it didnt act up at the scheduled appointment, I was charged a fee for a diagnostic that didnt turn up anything and a recommendation to make an appointment for when it did it again. (No thanks). Took it to Auto Electric. They found a code for a fuse panel, which they replaced. A few weeks later, it was acting up again. They replaced the starter. A few weeks later it was acting up again. This time the code they found indicated ground wires were the issue, which was going to take them about 2 days to fix. They didnt charge me at all for this fix (or for the oil change and tire rotation I asked them to do since they were going to have it for a couple of days as well as replacing the starter again under warranty just in case). Ive waited to write this review because my Jeep should have acted up again by now, and it hasnt! This could look like a fail of a review, but heres why I appreciate these guys so much: 1) They dont do appointments. First come, first serve. So its a lot faster to get your vehicle taken care of. 2) Anytime my Jeep acted up and I could repeat the issue, I could pop by and theyd take a quick look at it before deciding if it needed to be brought into the garage for work or if it could wait. Couldnt do that with Jeep. 3) They kept at the problem! They worked through every code my Jeep was giving until it finally showed the ground wires as being an issue. (Pretty sure theyre VERY familiar with my vehicle by now.) 4) They were so kind in not charging me to ultimately fix my issue. I had thrown some serious money into fixing the problem up until this point and I think they were taking it personally that it wasnt finally fixed that they threw me a bone on this one. Ultimately, it wasnt their fault that my Jeep wasnt fixed on the first try since it took so long for it to finally show the ground wire code. But they do good work and they do it fast. Customer service is great and you really get the sense that they want their customers to be happy for continued business. Thank you so much Jerry and Josh!

Timothy Reed Roger runs a honest and reasonably priced shop. Him and his team of mechanics service our work rigs and have always been able to get us back in action. What I like the most about his shop is that they are not trying to replace unnecessary parts along the way and will tell you if something is still usable.

Another Somebody I dont recommend. They did my timing job since I was worried about messing something up and missing work to do it. They did the work at a low labor rate. There was an grease print on the headliner, but oh well. When it started leaking oil (it never leaked before) they said I didnt tighten the oil filter enough. Next time I went in for the leak they said it was the pcv valve which they replaced (without asking). Turns out that required changing the valve cover too ($700 bill without asking, ouch). I brought it back in for the leak and they kept it 4 days. When I went in asking for an update after 4 days, they said they let it idle outside for an hour without seeing a drip. I was pissed they just left it running for an hour without bothering to find it. I realized Roger had no intention of fixing his own damage, so I did it myself. First I did the crank seal for $10 which they didnt replace (shame on them). While getting to it, I saw they loosened the fan clutch nut with pliers (not the ford tool). Then I reved it under load in the garage until it reached 210° repeatedly until I found the leak. They didnt RTV seal where the oil pan meets the timing cover. Thats LITERALLY called out in the $15 shop manual. Ten cents in RTV, wasted a year of me stressing every time it puked 2 quarts of oil while towing. While dropping the oil pan, I also noticed they never torqued the front oil pan bolts or they used the torque values for the next model year (Yes, this is where the leak was). I then pulled out multiple pieces of timing guide in the oil pickup screen that they didnt bother dropping the pan for. Oh, guess what happens when you fling oil in an engine bay. Your alternator goes out. There went another $200 and a stressful night for my wife and kids.

Erin Smith I used to be a loyal customer of Autometrics and even recommended them to friends. Unfortunately, my latest experiences have been incredibly disappointing and ultimately dangerous. Over the past few years, I spent thousands of dollars at this shop trying to resolve issues with my vehicle. Not only did those problems remain unresolved, but new, serious safety hazards were created by their work, including a diesel fuel leak and shorted wiring that left my vehicle at risk of catching fire. I unknowingly drove my family (including my newborn baby) on a days-long road trip in a car that could have caught fire due to their oversight. That’s not just unacceptable, it’s terrifying. And while my car did not catch fire, we were subject to diesel fumes for the duration of (and beyond) the trip. After finally taking my vehicle to a different, reputable shop, I learned about a laundry list of problems that were either caused or ignored by Autometrics. Issues that I am still in the process of repairing today. When I contacted Autometrics with this information and a detailed, professional letter outlining the issues and a reasonable reimbursement request, I was met with a dismissive phone call telling me I was “wrong.” What’s worse, a male family member with a similar experience was compensated by the same shop after bringing his issues to their attention. I was not. I genuinely believe my concerns were dismissed because I’m a woman. This shop once had my trust. Now, I feel I was taken advantage of, disrespected, and put at serious risk. I no longer recommend Autometrics to anyone, especially women.
