5 /5 Dr Carl: I have a 2006 Mercedes that I inherited. These are very specialized vehicles. Almost all car owners want to avoid dealerships unless absolutely necessary. After a very di$appointing experience in $ilverdale, and a couple thou$and dollar$, I went shopping for a different shop since my no-crank, no-start condition had returned.
The first question I asked by phone was "can you do coding if a new component is needed?" Besides the "yes" answer, the good vibe from Chris sold me on trying them out.
One little detail: Wanting to avoid a tow, I was lucky to have Chris work with me over a few days trying all kinds of ideas for getting this sweet ride to start at least once. His service over the phone was truly above and beyond anything one might expect.
Turns out the ECU coding was messed up. I wonder how that happened? The Silverdale shop I used previously replaced the CGW and saved me "$350" by being "able to code the new CGW unit in house, without contacting Germany." This is out of my depth, so I cant draw any firm conclusions.
Blue Canary sent my ECU off for repair or replacement and happily repair (coding) was sufficient. That saved me a LOT of money.
All-in-all the service was reasonable and generally stellar.
I saw one negative review and had to laugh out loud since the complainer was angry that the service was so slow. They failed to notice that the shop in closed Fri-Sat-Sun and seemed to expect a happy outcome when they started late on a Thursday. Something like that. It was worth a LOL.
Regardless, yes, I highly recommend the Blue Canary shop.
Good vibes and good service. But, what do I know?
