5 /5 Chris Melton: The team at Puget Sound Auto Repair genuinely care about your business and satisfaction.
I originally met Alan (owner) a couple months back when my usual mechanic recommended i bring my Dodge to them about an intermittent issue where my truck would shift itself into 4x4.
However, at the end of a 2200 mile road trip, I noticed my clutch pedal got very heavy, and was slow to return. I brought it into them for a diagnosis, and also told them about an intermittent issue where the truck would occasionally shift itself into 4x4. Within a few hours, I was told it needed a new pressure plate, which wasnt an issue. I knew the clutch kit I wanted in the truck, and of course they were happy to oblige.
After getting into the truck, it was discovered that the front bearing retainer needed replacing.
Once all parts were there, all repairs were done that same day. New clutch, shift fork, throw out bearing, master and slave cylinders, rear main seal and front bearing retainer. The intermittent 4x4 issue was diagnosed to be the TIPM.
I supplied the clutch, hydraulics and g56 transmission fluid. The price I paid was for labor, and 2 parts. Rear main seal, and front bearing retainer... I have replaced a clutch in one of these trucks before... I assure you, it is not fun as nothing about this truck is light. For the price I paid and the service I received; I felt like I got an amazing value. To the point I feel my only way of being able to properly thank Alan and Landon for their help is to write this review.
Oh, and i almost forgot to mention... they didnt even charge me for the diag fees on the clutch or for the TIPM...
Thank you so much. I feel like my service is valued and I will definitely be back.
