1 /5 Danna Daniel: Made an appointment and lady seemed very nice on phone, showed up for appointment and staff told me that the lady had left come back next week. Like excuse me? I have an appointment, what do you mean come back next week!? Unbelievable experience! That is not very good customer service nor a good first time impression . But I called another salon and they got me in right then and there . God works great when people do you dirty. It was a blessing I didn’t go there after all. it was run down and so was their service ! Wish I didn’t even have to give this place a star at all. It would be a negative!

5 /5 Brandon Swain: It is by far the best hair stylest company in Federal Way. Be patient with her. She might have a client before your appointment. She basically runs the shop by herself but it is worth the wait. She is very nice and fun to talk with. Her service is fast and professional. I hope she stays in business.

ZIMM C: GO ELSEWHERE! I started out in November 2020 with starter dreads at this place $300 is what they charged. They recommended come to their shop every 3-4 weeks the 1st year, $100 each time, by August 2021 still looked like i had an afro with twists, $1500 spent by this time and STILL no dreads. Finally almost a year & $1500 later they put artificial hair in with mine and dreads finally started. Fast forward from 2022-2024 & spent $2000 in those 2 years on maintenance, adding artificial dreads because they still had no idea what they were doing. At this point Im at $3500 spent by October 2024, I asked for an appointment for an interlock, they sent me to the 38th st location in Tacoma. The stylist starts working on my hair for about twenty minutes, and then she tells me she doesnt know how to do interlock so she calls the owner, and then the owner says, just do a maintenance, and she didnt even know how to do that, she probably did like 3 twists on my hair and then I said, im done after about 45 mins because at this point, my hair looked absolutely terrible So the stylist calls the owner and the owner said charge him $100. I even took pictures and sent it to the owner about how dissatisfied I was with that appointment. They never refunded my money or gave me another appointment.But the owner send me a text message saying that the stylists dont want to work with me because my expectations are too high. I said I spent $3500 in 4 years trying to get dreads that look as professional as every other persons out there in mine are the worst looking dreads ive ever seen in my life. I Am Locs is full of scam artists and stylists that have no clue what theyre doing, and I would recommend going somewhere else!!!!!!!

Chad: She goes way too fast. She lined up my ear way too freaking high. She also got upset with me today because I was asking her politely that I like my haircut a certain way. I was telling her to go high up on the sides with a fade Even before she cut it. She didnt cut it and then I made her go back and do it I was telling her to do this so she didnt have to. Because last time she cut it she put way too much length on my sides and when I got home I literally had to pull out my clippers and cut it shorter. And she kind of snapped at me and said WELL I CANT REALLY GO MUCH SHORTER IF I DO FINGER LENGTH!!! I didnt say one more word to her until she finished. It was $25 for a mans haircut which is way too much. The sign says $22 to $25 but its always $25 itll never be $22 even if it only takes her 6 minutes and it only took her like probably 6 or 7 minutes because she just rushes right through it. Ive been to her multiple times but today she was so rude. But she had no problem being super nice when it came to paying and time to tip. It just sucks cuz I live close and now Im going to find a different place I wont go to her ever again.

Michael: My girlfriend had her hair permed body wave for 150.00. She has long hair. The lady said to not to shampoo her hair till next day. Did not wash hair at all for 2 days. Only washed with water and the curls were barley there. She called the lady and she just made excuses and that it was not her fault. We spend top dollars on the best perm for 150.00 and there was no curls. Looked like some kids playing around with store bought perm solution. She would not answer phone or texts and will not refund or redo the perm. She is very dishonest and NONPROFESSIONAL INCOMPETENT. Be aware she will rip you off. BTW, my girlfriend is a professional hair stylest herself. She has graded this lady a 3 out of 10.
