2 /5 Hugh Jaynous: I went for a few weeks over the Christmas season and enjoyed my time. But this year, it began to feel bizarre, almost cult like. During baptisms they made everyone getting baptized say the exact same phrase, ushering them out as if they were on a conveyor belt. The exact same phrase over and over and over. It felt forced and unlike other baptisms I’ve seen at other churches in the past. I came back again recently to try it one more time only find they removed their coffee bar service for stale drip coffee and have the nerve to aggressively ask you for money at the same time. Again feels like a cult. I don’t know how to put my finger on it- maybe a cult or just extremely out of touch with the community. Either way I can’t imagine myself coming back again after that
5 /5 Bill Samblis: The most inclusive and friendly environment Ive ever encountered.
1 /5 Shnarika Powell: As a black woman my first experience was horrible! I stood outside the church no one greeted me and to make matters worse the row where I sat was nearly empty. Will not revisit!
3 /5 Anna Haar: I’m military and I’ve moved place to place. I’m used to having to relocate until something clicks. This church was the first one we ever came to. And though I believe there can always be room for improvement in any area regardless of church or member in Christ etc. I really believe this is a nice church. This is the church I was able to have my first baptism at with my dad before he went on a 9 month long deployment. This is the church that taught me I’m no longer my sin. And the church I still attend to this day with my family. If I had to give a request, it would be for the sermons to be more impactful. I don’t need crazy lights and piano in the background. But truly convicting sermons that reflect repentance and the killing of sin. I look back at sermons and see a few jokes here and there (which I like) along with a story that ties into it but the message never clicked. There was never Something real, in a sense. It was kind of like a comedy show. (Not in a rude sense I’m sorry if it came off like that) But over all it’s an amazing church with friendly people. And I can’t wait to finally get grounded in a “home” church. Thank you for your time, God bless.
1 /5 Washington Reviewer: Pastor is too busy to tend to the church. It has been impossible to get a simple 5 minute meeting with him. Apparently he guards his schedule so as to not disturb his precious agenda. Luke seems to be on a rather high horse. As a pastor he should be humble and a servant of God, not see himself as an overly important CEO. Apparently he wants to turn evergreen into a mega church… this guy only seems to care about numbers and size and will grow the church regardless of who gets hurt in the process. This guy needs to have his pastoral credentials rescinded. His heart isn’t right, even if he makes it seem so on the pulpit.

Brett Binder: Ive been coming here since I was a baby (now 42). I keep coming because of the emphasis on teaching the Bible. Not just a few verses but the entire Bible. Usually a chapter or half a chapter every Sunday. Jon Sane is the pastor and doing an excellent job. Come and be blessed!
Church of Living Water - Olympia
យូរ៉ាយ Uriah Lyford: Incredible worship experience and preaching of the word in a way that is authentic, vulnerable, and honest. Hard to find a community that feels safe to share our struggles while steel holding firmly to the call of becoming more like Jesus and contending for victory over those struggles. I was able to share openly about my past including several years of addiction and mental health issues and I was only loved all the more.
New Bridge Community Church - Olympia
Jen Procick: I love New Bridge. I love being part of a church where i feel wanted and seen. Ive been attending for 4 years now. Being part of this church just feels like family. Love being an active volunteer, especially with the youth groups. Curious about us, come check us out. I just may be at the door to greet you myself some time with some of my middle school youth!
The United Churches of Olympia - Olympia
Amanda Jones: This is a fantastic church that is open and welcoming to all. The two pastors are kind and loving. The sermons are current, interesting, and usually have just a bit of humor in them. People here are very friendly and genuine. The choir director has a long, distinguished career with world famous choirs and offers incredible voice trick, vocal health advice, and general teaching of musicality. You have two options: the early service is a more social meeting where time is built in to discuss questions from the pastors with others at your table. The second service is in the traditional sanctuary with the choir performing and the chance to be in a big, beautiful space. The youth here are some of my favorite people. Theyre considerate, kind and lean in often to help the church community and to do projects for Olympia as a whole, while also being silly and light hearted and most definitely playing a good game of spoons whenever possible. If youre church shopping and looking for a church that is open and affirming, I recommend this church highly. Ive been very happy here and feel incredibly loved and cared for by the community and pastors that make up this church.
    Hope Community Church - Olympia
Abby Dyck: Hope is a fantastic, Christ-centered church! The preaching is faithful to Gods Word and always keeps the Gospel central. I am so thankful to be able to call Hope my church family!
    Capital Christian Center - Olympia
Stylez Major: This place changed my life. I used to spend my time in bars and clubs looking to connect. But with capital Ive found real connection. You feel welcome genuinely every time you visit. The worship is amazing with a great leader. Dave is great at what he does. I used to think church was all about money. But the value you get from this church money cant buy, the relationships and love. I found a new family.
    Harbor Church - Olympia
Dale Peash: Great church and the people are real Felt like home, not a corporate church striving to be biggest. This church preaches the Gods word.
Hidden Creek Community Church - Olympia

St Johns Episcopal Church - Olympia
Kathleen: Im not a religious person, but we were invited by a neighbor who is the musical director of this church to watch a show, The Lute Legends Collective. This group is comprised of three musicians from different cultures each playing the version of the lute that came about in each culture. The three performers were Chinese, Palestinian, and Canadian, and they not only played, but they also shared information enjoy the history of how a common instrument, the lute, evolved in each country. They had played at Benny Royal Hall the night before, so this was indeed a unique opportunity to see this caliber of performance in our community. The church is also progressive and welcoming to all, which is in line with my morals and values. This made it comfortable to participate, knowing everyone is equally valued and welcome.
Grace Community Covenant Church - Olympia
Hans Funk: This is the first church in 9 years that I have almost immediately felt like I could call home. The worship team is one of the most diverse and eclectic groups I have ever heard, truly gifted and anointed - they play wonderful music. The messages I have heard really seem to come from the heart, and the congregation shares their prayer requests openly in service. Truly a welcoming, relaxed, and inviting atmosphere of community.
