5 /5 KR: We reside in Alaska. Our local neurologist referred our son to Swedish Epilepsy Center for video EEG not available in our state. We Googled Swedish Center alarmed at the lowly 2.5 star review status. Voicing our concerns, our established specialist, Dr. Tasha Powell offered glowing first person interactions with staff and care teams at Swedish Epilepsy Center. She stated she has had great feedback from patients who have visited Swedish Epilepsy as well as testified to their doctors excellence in communication with her. We were preparing a schedule, expecting we would have to routinely contact Swedish office to actually get to speak to a real person after reading reviews here. SHAME ON YOU WHO HAVE MISLEAD THOSE IN NEED. Within 24 hours we were contacted by incredibly friendly receptionist, who expertly informed of process and procedures. And made an appointment that is best for us. The team at Swedish Epilepsy Center are outstanding. A magnificent first introduction. There will be considerable arrangements needed when traveling for video EEG, due to our residential location. We feel absolutely confident in making the investment of time and resources visiting here.

1 /5 Shepherd Reese: I havent even been seen here yet but Im leaving a poor review because getting scheduled here has been a nightmare. I have had an urgent referral for 2 weeks. No one ever reached out initially. I have called 4 times including leaving voicemails and still have not been scheduled. Its ridiculous. I work in healthcare and understand being busy but there isnt an excuse to ignore a patient that needs to be seen urgently (in my doctors words, not mine) for 2 weeks. Hopefully my experience in the office is better than this has been.

5 /5 Jessica Hollis: I have at times experienced long wait times when I call but Ive also been able to get through right away. Unfortunately, I feel like this is common at most offices now. Regardless, the staff is kind and helpful. And I really appreciate Dr. Dohertys thoroughness and concern.

5 /5 Mary Munro: I reached out to the Epilepsy Center after speaking with someone from the Epilepsy Foundation. I had looked over the bios of the neurological staff and picked two doctors I wanted to work with. I was able to secure an appointment in one month’s time which is par for the course. I had a video visit with Dr. Pascal. We did a thorough intake. She listened quite well. I always felt that at this moment in time, I was the most important person or patient on her schedule. We agreed that I should come in for a five day observation which she will set up for May or as space becomes available. I am very satisfied with the entire team at Swedish Epilepsy Center. Things would have to get really botched up in the future for me to change my mind. I suffered severe abuse as a child resulting in numerous head injuries. As an adult I had further head trauma from motor vehicle accidents etc. The good doctor took all that into consideration. I have never experienced such an empathetic neurologist before. I hope the issues with the displeased patients were worked out. Seizures are frightening. Epilepsy changes so much in your life. It is not a road to travel alone. I honestly. believe with all my heart that I have found proper care. And lo and behold, just as I was proofing this review, I got the call with my observation date in May. Although this may seem like a long way away since I am posting in March, with the healthcare industry, things are falling into place at warp speed. In the meantime, I will fasten my seatbelt. Could be a bumpy ride. My best to all those struggling with Epilepsy. I know you will find the help you need here.
