5 /5 Becka Temple: I had my baby here 23 years ago. I haven’t been back until last week because I moved out of the area. But last week my mom was admitted through the ER.
Most Emergency Rooms are chaotic and the staff are totally frazzled. Here, they were welcoming and cheerful! Even security was great! We were there to get a visitors pass and the lady working that station was so patient, so understanding, and so kind. We had a lot of other family there and it was like playing hot potato juggling who’s back there and who’s not. I was really emotional about running into a family member that I stay away from, and with my mom being in serious condition I just needed to rant. I unexpectedly and embarrassingly ranted to her.
But she listened to me with empathy. I quickly caught myself and apologized but she just smiled and said it was ok. I appreciate her being so approachable, even though I shouldn’t have involved her at all. Once I ranted, I was totally ok and over it. So visitors desk lady, thank you so much!
The ER nurse was the absolute best. She was really good with my mom. She filled us in on everything we needed to know because my mom was in denial of the full story. (I have the legal right to know) The doctor back there was super cool.
All in all her entire stay- a week and a half in the hospital- was just phenomenal. She had a doctor who was so dedicated to her patients that she went above and beyond to solve the puzzle and find out what was happening, and how to treat my mom. It was very serious, and she made sure that my mom had all the proper care to send her home stable with referrals. They did a ton of tests and imaging and she has the tools she needs now to proceed with outside care.
I’m eternally grateful to everyone there.
