After discussing nail options with the staff, I decided to try dip color with tips for some added length. They came out lumpy, my nails are crooked as hell, and some of the edges had the color filed off so that the white tips show. There are also entire sections of my toenails that do not have any polish on them.

The spa is relaxing and all the lotions and foot soaks smell amazing! They also have lots of colors to choose from and it is really easy to walk in or get a same day appointment.

Sara Cearley I recently moved to the area and decided to try this salon based on its good reviews. Unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing. I got a full set with gel and chrome from the owner, costing $115. Within a week, while I was still on vacation, the gel started peeling on both thumbs and a pinky nail, and some of the acrylic chipped off. When I returned to the salon to ask if they could sand off the gel and repaint a new solid color (since I couldnt remember the exact pink or chrome used), I was told it would cost an additional $35. I found this to be very frustrating, especially considering the initial service was already expensive and the quality was poor overall. Not pleased with the quality of the nails and the terrible customer service, I ended up walking out. I will definitely not be returning to this salon.

I wanted to try a closer salon and as you can see by the picture they did exactly what I wanted. I usually have to bring my toddler and though he’s fairly well behaved they were so kind to him, helping him in the chair and getting him water which they didn’t have to do.

Finn My friend and I went in for acrylic nails as it was her first time. The reason this place gets 4 stars and not one is because her nail tech was amazing, I didnt get her name but my friends acrylics were absolutely perfect and she had a great time. However mine were not, we had different nail techs and mine were done very differently from my friends. Now you may see the photos and think they dont look that bad and they dont, however this was also after I spent several minutes filing down the excess acrylic left under my nails, also my nails had water under them and when I removed them myself I found that they were not fully adhered. The gel was extremely thick in some spots and not in others and I was also cut twice. I think if all the nail techs were as amazing as my friends was, this would have been the best place Ive ever gotten acrylics, but I guess I just had bad luck

Mary Cortez Cosmetically the place looks beautiful. I recently had a fire in my apartment and I went in to get my acrylics taken off which by the way were already cut all the way down and three of them were already completely off. I also needed a pedi. Instead of taking the time to do each individually they had me Twisted in a chair as they were doing my pedi they had me twisted like a pretzel doing my nails at the same time. They charged me $45 FOR TAKING ACRYLICS OFF! Again there was hardly anything to take off. When I asked at the register she said well it was a manicure. It was not. I wasnt comfortable they didnt massage my hands they didnt do anything close to a manicure. I thought I would try them out I would never go back. They gave me 20% off because of their grand opening but what they do is they charge you ridiculous amounts for services so they still make money. I gave them a tip before I went to the register. Even though I was so uncomfortable. Just for their time. I should have just let them split the $30 that they charged me for nothing. They could have gotten their tip there. Im very disappointed I will never go back and I will never recommend them to anyone. Buyer beware. I dont mind paying high prices for the services rendered they did nothing close to a manicure. Awful! I am more stressed and sore than when I went in. Ive attached the photos of my fingernails. I paid $45 for this. Like I said I dont mind paying for a service. But this was ridiculous. Never again. I noticed that anybody that doesnt give a good review they dont reply to. They only reply to the good reviews thats who they care about. How sad. It wont be long. More people will be disappointed. Im especially upset since when I came in I explained that I had just lost everything in a fire and that was why I wasnt getting my acrylics done but that I would be back. I wont be back here thats for sure. Zero Stars if I could.

Gabi is so sweet and energetic and really puts all of her heart into teaching us everything and more. Susan A. I was very impressed with the Paul Mitchell Academy in Federal Way. As soon as I walked through the door I noticed how clean and organized the place is. I was acknowledged and received help with signing in by a friendly person. I was introduced to my stylist, Miley and we walked to her station. She listened to what I had in mind for highlights and Abbey (her instructor) introduced herself and we all went over what I wanted. Even tho I had signed up to have a full head of highlights done, it was explained that because I had booked my appt. online for 12:45, there wouldn’t be enough time. So we all agreed that a partial would be a better idea. What I appreciated was that they both were straightforward so I didn’t have any unrealistic expectations. Miley did a beautiful job. She took her time to get it right. And Abbey was always available and came over to oversee how she was doing. Abbey had a lot of great tips and Miley took Abbeys suggestions in a positive light. The results were above and beyond my expectations and look forward to going back again after the New Year. I have been to Paul Mitchell Academy’s in CA, ID and now WA. I highly recommend you checking out their services.

I’ve never had that strong of nails and I’m guilty of being a nervous picker on my nail beds . I went back today and got a fill with Dan he is the best noticed the growth from last time took great care of me and gave me the cutest decoration & artwork on this fill & only $70 !! Reann braunschweig $125 on a pedicure and dip powder manicure to treat myself for my birthday (this included a $20 tip). Pros: very friendly staff, salon was clean and professional, the woman who did my pedicure was very thorough. Cons: only 6/10 of finger nails are the same shape. Finger nails were buffed too thin in the middle of the nail which caused a “curved up” look. Multiple finger nail tips are not glued down and are not completely covered in dip powder on the sides. I Was rushed out of the chair before my toes could dry so some polish was wiped off when the woman put my shoes back on. See photos. Disappointed… honestly would like a refund for my hands and to have my toes repainted where polish is missing.

Veggyhead1 Amazing service every time! Every time I come in with a design request the deliver! This time Kim was able to do my nails exactly how I wanted and I am very happy with them! The pedicure I got with a stone massage was super relaxing and one of my favorite services. Very accommodating to walk ins as well. Universal nails is one of my favorite nail salons in the area.

Deanna Green I love Universal Nails! I’ve been going to this salon for years for my manicures and pedicures! Whether I’m getting a gel or dip powder manicure, they’re always consistently great! I used to go to salons where only one or two of the technicians were consistent, but you don’t have to worry about that here! I’m a neutral girl as you can tell from my pictures, but I love their color selection as well. The salon is sanitary and well maintained. They’re all so nice! The owners are very attentive to all customers; Kim is so kind! Definitely recommend visiting this salon!

The lady working there didnt take our requests seriously and was pretty rude. We ended up paying $70, but the quality of the work was more like a $20 work. The henna on her hands and feet was uneven, which really ruined the whole experience for us. I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone.

nishitha cr This is my go-to parlor for eyebrows and waxing. Every time they do a great job. However, this time eyebrows was good but waxing was a disaster. I do not have sensitive skin and have been doing waxing for more than 15 years and this is the first time I left the parlor with scars on my skin. It was totally painful. The reason behind this is that the management has changed the waxing sheets from white to brown paper. And those brown papers does a horrible job as they are less powerful than the white ones. So they ended up doing multiple times in the same place to take off the hair which was not coming off easily as it would in the white paper. I generally don’t write reviews but I just wanted the people to know about it as my entire skin has turned red in color with lot of scars and have an upcoming trip which is just spoiling it.

Frances Guzman I would like to share my experience with (E&B Nails Spa.) I usually go to my nail artist who is great. I’m very picky who does my nails. I don’t like them to thin or to think, I don’t like them crooked, or painted without care. I was short for time and my nail artist was too far to drive so I decided to try this (E&B Nails Spa.) End result they were great! The staff was great very kind and courteous. Got right to my nails did not have to wait long. They were quick and made my nails to my liking and painted them with care giving me a reason to keep coming back and maybe I found a new artist to come too. Today was my Third time coming and I brought my daughter and she was very happy as well. Moving forward I will recommend (E&B Nails Spa) to anyone who wants their nails done to satisfaction. Shar Johnson Update : my skin is now peeling and I will be seeking legal action against this shop ! MMA IS ILLEGAL!!! I went to get my nails and feet done for my birthday here. I usually do my own nails, but my boyfriend insisted I go and get them done as a gift. As I’m taking my nails off, I noticed that the acrylic is very stringy and gooey. I am a barber so I know a lot about cosmetology, and from my understanding, acrylic should not be gooey nor stringy and should not be extremely hard to take off. I have an electric drill as well as pure acetone. I have been trying to soak one hand off for almost an hour because it is extremely gooey meaning that they are using MMA, which is illegal. Charged me for something so cheap and illegal is not OK !!

kirsten kime I really want to give 4* for all but 1 mediocre pedicure Ive received here. However, they dont honor their pricing for girls services. The first time I took my daughter along and stated she wanted a kids pedicure, she/I were asked at least 5 times how old she was. This last time when I corrected the price I was charged after the service she asked my daughter how old she was, and when my daughter stated "11" she said she was too old. I stated to her that the menu both online and in the shop stated 12 and under. She then spoke to another woman in their native language before adjusting the cost. With her getting gel and myself using standard polish both of our costs were over $40 each, so its not like I save that much... I think its $10 discount overall. Its really the principle. My daughter was uncomfortable for a 2nd time (all over her age and her being tall), so Ill take my business elsewhere even though they do a good job. I dont like dishonesty, and I dont appreciate them questioning her the way that they did. *The owner called to apologize and talk about the issue. Offered a 10% discount and asked to have another try. Very impressed with her care to make things right.

Ive come here as a regular for almost a year! Ive gotten my nails mostly done by Kim, she is so sweet, kind and attentive to detail. The nails are high quality and last the whole time until I need a fill. They are very strong! Something unique I noticed at this salon is they are very gentle with your hands and all the staff are very sweet. She is fast but doesnt rush, if youre looking for the cute pointy nails, shes really good at those. But honestly I would trust any of the girls here to do my nails! I usually get french tips or ombre. Thank you to all the beautiful ladies here making it a pleasant experience!
