5 /5 Thomas Smithfield: I stopped by Local Tide on my way out of town for lunch on a Friday and it did not disappoint. The line out the door was qn indicator it was going to be good. I ordered the weekend crab roll and their clam chowder, and both were excellent. The crab roll was fresh, buttery, and packed with sweet dungeness crab meat, perfectly balanced with a soft toasted split roll. The chowder was rich and flavorful without being too heavy, full of tender clams and just the right amount of seasoning.
The atmosphere was relaxed but lively, and the staff were friendly and attentive without hovering. It’s the kind of place that feels perfect for a casual Friday lunch but still special enough to bring someone visiting from out of town.
Highly recommend if you’re craving quality seafood done right. I’ll definitely be back.
