I’ve been to several stylists in the area with similar pricing, and none have matched the professionalism and quality of service I received here. Amanda, the owner, did an incredible job—precise, stylish, and exactly what I wanted. Beyond that, her salon is absolutely charming, equipped with top-tier tools that not only make the stylists’ jobs easier but also elevate the entire experience. You can tell she puts care into every detail, from the ambiance to the craftsmanship. If you’re looking for a place that truly delivers, this is it. 10/10, highly recommend!
ICON Salon - Tacoma Isabelle Thompson: I recently got my hair dyed here for the first time and I absolutely adore it. Courtney is amazing at what she does and is very knowledgeable. She is very good at listening to your ideas while also giving her professional advice so you look and feel the best. Super cute and comfortable salon, I look forward to getting more done here.
Salon Leo - Tacoma Viki Lareau: I am so happy to have found Theresa at Salon Leo! My hairdresser of 30+ years retired a few years ago, and I have been struggling to replace them and spending a fortune to do so! There is no substitute for experience, especially when it comes to color services. With 15+ years in the game, she not only understand hair, but providing value. My appts have been less than $300 for a beautiful cut, all over color w/ balayage, blow out and tip! I have medium length, fairly thick hair. And being a Redhead - I am very picky about the color. Not many can do Red right. Everyone will be different, but this seems like a great value in todays market and with Theresas expertise! This is really what should determine cost (imo) The last stylist I saw bf Theresa had less than 2 years experience & charged me over $600 for a simple layering cut & highlights! The worst part is I looked practically the same as when I went in! I mistakenly trusted the long time salon (actually just around the corner) for being well known in Tacoma.
I have seen Theresa 3 times now with next appt already on the books! FYI - she also owns her own salon in Seattle too! Being a salon owner, she clearly understands the importance of customer service & retention - knowing we are her walking business card. (the previous salon never inquired or reached out to me after) Sorry this is long, but if youve ever lost your long time Stylist, finally finding another is such a blessing and Im very grateful!

Salt Salon 2210 - Tacoma Jessica Zahnow: This salon is so charming and cool - seated at the foot of 30th street hill in a beautiful location. Jill is fantastic and always makes sure I leave happy. My hair is on the thinner side and Jill always makes me look great. Not only is she talented, you will leave with a new friend. Theres no one in Tacoma Jill doesnt know. Shes a one-of-a kind stylist and human. Book with her today - youll be so happy you did!
Hair by Diemy - Tacoma Michael Maertins: I have been going to Diemy for over a year now, I must say she is by far the best hairstylist I have ever been too. If your a guy, totally legit! She is the real deal. Every time I leave I can’t wait to go back because she is such a fun person and great conversationalist. Totally professional, makes you feel amazing. She just moved into a new salon and it is first class all the way. I 100% recommend her as your new stylist.
Titi African Hair Braiding and Weaving - Tacoma Hellen Mabiriizi: If you’re tender headed this is not the place for you. I have had the same experience with 2 different braiders in the same place. They grip the hair too tight and unfortunately I was unable to even let them know because from the moment they touched my head to the last min they were on the phone back to back. The phone calls aren’t even the problem, it’s the lack of attention for them to realize they are hurting you and the spits. After my first experience, I chose to ignore everything but this second time the pain had me on the edge of that chair.
