1 /5 Brittany Burch: My mom was seen by Dr. Stone on 11/18/2022 with stroke-like symptoms. She was brought down to the ED by a nurse from her PCPs office also at St. Joes. Her discharge paperwork from her PCP said to head to the ER asap to rule out a stroke, which they failed to do. She had blood work done and a chest X-ray, but was not given a CT scan, which as a nurse I know is VITAL in diagnosing a stroke. She ended up having to go to TG a few days later with extreme stroke symptoms and was told that she was having an ischemic stroke and that with some of her symptoms lasting a few weeks, she also recently had a TIA (mini stroke), which is normally a precursor to a stroke, and if she had a ct scan at St. Joes it may have been prevented. So, as a daughter and a RN, I cannot recommend Dr. Stone. My mother could have died from his negligence.
