He went the extra mile checking and servicing multiple components to insure everything was functioning properly taking the time to thoroughly explain what was done. After being off the bike most of the year due to an injury its nice to be back on it especially knowing its running great and safe to ride. Thanks guys!

5 /5 Renee Swearingen: This shop reminds me of the work my grandpa and dad would do. I had great, no nonsense advice and an honest estimate of what my snowmobile needed. While I was ordering the parts, one of the guys jumped in the back of my truck and took care of the brake lines...he said when they started it, he noticed the fluid was low and recommended that I get a tune-up done. I will never take my machines anywhere else.

2 /5 mike pierce: I called Jacks this morning to see if I could bring an atv in for repair. I got an answering machine and left a message. I was going to be busy and not able to answer the phone later so I called back a short time later. I was told " take it somewhere else, we dont need this kind of harassment " and the phone was hung up. I thought there must be some confusion so I drove down there to sort it out. I walked is and tried to have a conversation and was told my phone call after leaving a message was harassment , and told to get the hell out. Ive never been treated this way anywhere before. I cant believe a business person would treat customers in this way. To be fair to Jack, it wasnt him that I interacted with. I looked at the reviews before calling and thought this is where I want to take my business. I guess I was wrong.

Barney Randolph: I used this company for multiple Vehicles. I had to take my last vehicle in multiple times. Faulty parts, lazy mechanic, and not following through with their word. They Ended up having to take my car to the shop I did not want to take it to in the first place. Find somewhere else to take your vehicle. These guys follow a computer screen and don’t know much. My car need a basic tune up. They could not figure that out. Then when I found out I was lied to about my first appointment and why my car did not get repaired to my specifications I asked for the manager to call me. never received any communication from the manager of the service department. Use at your own risk. Untrustworthy, unskilled, and Not worth the money. Added on 7/22/21 Yes the Manager did try to call me AFTER they read this review. Thank you for you Customer Service. I will never use your services again.

Katherine Plocher: Went to get a check engine light looked at and a battery checked out to see if they could repair it for us. The gentleman was courteous and down to earth. Checked the light, let us know the issue without charge. Sent us onour way (after jumping our battery for us) to let us repair ourselves as my husband is quite handy. Will be coming to him again should we need an actual repair done! He is an honest person just looking to run a nice business.

My dad brought our car in to be worked on, there was a problem with the passenger door that caused the window to stop rolling up, and the windshield wipers would slow to a crawl after around 20 minutes of use. They had the car for around three months then returned it to us, the windshield wipers had the same issue and they replaced a motor on the driver side door, which was working completely fine. I was assured by one of the mechanics that due to the inconvenience of them having the car for as long as they did they would be giving us a big discount, he pointed to the bill and said to me that he would be charging us around $350, they instead charged us over $900 which we paid. They insisted that they would fix the problems that still plagued the car upon initially returning it to us, so over the next four-ish months we waited for their calls they picked up the car twice and claimed all the issues were fixed, since then the passenger window has continued to be a problem and just recently stopped moving all together, and my dad replaced the motor in the windshield wipers himself so they work a little better now than when Petersons returned the car to us. The idea that this company "offers honest and reliable auto repair" is a complete joke. They will take advantage of you, run you around in circles, never call you with updates as you sit at home getting their answering machine over and over. They are dishonest thieves who employ shady business tactics to take advantage of locals. Though the owner is selling the business which hopefully will lead to a more competent mechanic moving in, I would never trust any of my automotive needs to Michael J. Peterson ever again, and I hope for the benefit of every driver on the Peninsula that he is retiring.

(Truck was broken and sitting more than being used for the better half of a year) it would return to me to be used for a couple months then it broke again. I believe they rushed through the work they did as they are over loaded and have a car storage lot more than a mechanic shop also didn’t want to help much steer clear

Gordon Starkebaum: We had a screeching noise in our front wheel of our 1998 Mercedes MLB320 while were in Pt Angeles on vacation from Seattle in July 2025. We recalled that we had gotten a repair from Rustys years earlier, so we found the relocated shop. Leon put the car on a lift and in seconds removed the small rock inside the brake which solved the problem. Wonderful service! When I returned home I found the record of our harmonic balancer repair on the same car by Leon in August 2006 in a hand-written note. Our car had died in the Red Lion parking lot and Leon had insisted that he would tow our car to the shop for fear of driving it might cause serious damage. We then left our car in Pt Angeles while we rented a car and went camping for 3 days at Shi Shi Beach. When we returned Leon had repaired our car and we still have it! So, kudos to Leon at Rustys for providing us with marvelous service for the past 19 years.
