3 /5 T Man: Rockwood seems to constantly be struggling. Lately it feels like I’m a hamburger in a fast food assembly line.
There is very poor interface in their computer system with entities outside Rockwood. I ended up going to these outside entities because I would get referrals within the Rockwood system and they would either never contact me or not be able to schedule me in. They didn’t have enough providers I guess.
They say, “Well, just have them send us your notes and we’ll put them in the chart.” Well, what good is that if they can’t find the notes or they just don’t read them??? It’s like having all 5 of your basketball players playing on separate courts. They have no idea what’s going on. The computer tells me I’m supposed to have a colonoscopy every 3 years. I ask to be scheduled in the computer and nobody ever contacts me. I asked call them and say talk to your primary when you have your yearly physical. What good is that if that’s 7 months away and it takes another 2 months to schedule you or they never contact you.
I feel like they only care more about my wallet/insurance.
If you have more than one issue, they tell you to make a separate appointment….. cha-Ching!!!!
I truly don’t feel like my doctor has time to know me. I also feel like she’s burning out and frustrated with the system she works within.
I think I will start looking for something different. I really want to feel like my physician knows me. It’s frustrating to deal with. I don’t need that when I’m having issues.
