1 /5 anonymous: TL;DR consider purchasing your next piece through a local independent.
Due to my tungsten ring (size and style) being discontinued Ben Bridge was unable to honor my replacement warranty. Months having already passed by to get to this point I reluctantly paid for an up-sell custom order. Several additional weeks later I received disappointing news that the custom order could not be fulfilled by their vendor. Once again I am offered various up-sells, this time approaching double the original piece’s purchase price…
My chief complaint is that the entire process & poor communication failed their customer. Whereas someone could have taken the initiative upfront to confirm with the manufacture whether or not my piece was replaceable. And twice with the custom order vendor, instead of leaving me to believe all was said-and-done…
I understand the circumstances were outside of their control, they have a business to run, and that quite frankly I’m a pretty worthless sized customer to them. However after the several month escapade an honest “I’m sorry, after exploring all the options there are really no feasible solutions we can offer you” would have gone a great deal further than pushing me for an additional sale.
