Mary Williams I woke up with my left eye blurry. My doctor referred me to PeaceHealth Eye care. The Appointment scheduler found me an appointment the same day. The Tech that did the preliminary examine was very nice and professional. The Ophthalmologist who reviewed my examine was also very nice and professional. He explained what the procedure would be to help resolve my issue. He answered all my questions and concerns. I was able to schedule an appointment for the procedure in two days with Dr Valent. He explained every step of the process, answered all my questions and was very empathic with my concerns. My husband who was a nurse was impressed with his knowledge and his caring of my issue. The office is very professional and caring. I will be coming here in the future for my annual exams.

Kaylee Perry Im only giving 5 stars because the staff here is nice and they listen well and always help out when my husband has stomach episodes. My husband and i came in again today first time in a few months hes gotten sick like this, he has a cancerous cyst in his esophagus that causes issues with his stomach so he’s on a special diet until we find out what triggers him. Sometimes he eats something that sets him off and he ends up puking and dry heaving until he cant stand and he can’t keep any fluids down so i bring him here to get an IV with fluids so he doesnt dehydrate! The doctors, the nurses, the medical assistants, everyone here is wonderful they always listen to me and do great with him. What saddens me is today i was in the waiting room with him and there was a hand full of people staring at him while he was puking and dry heaving, and making comments and telling people not to sit next to us because they thought he was contagious even though i had clarified he is not and that its a pre existing condition. It became so uncomfortable to the point i wheeled my husband into the hallway and waited there and stood in front of him so no one could stare. Everyone in the waiting room didnt even show signs of being sick, no one was coughing or puking or pale or had any visible sickness. They all just sat around on their phones chit chatting and staring at my husband and making comments, and half of them got into a room before my husband who is in agonizing pain. One of the women in there kept announcing that she had cancer, and was even being disrespectful to the staff, and talking down of the staff saying no one here knows how to do their job, she offered me these odd candies for my husband and I politely turned her down and she immediately caught an attitude. Y’all need to grow up. Im sure if you were in my husbands position or my position you wouldn’t enjoy that either. So folks think before you speak.

Mariah Lilienthal Adapt turned my life around. Its intense, but you learn so much from different perspectives, the environment is so supportive, and they give you access to a dietician, grief counselor, psychiatrist, and Occupational Therapist. They also offer individual counseling. Adapt gave me the hope Ive never had about my mental health.

Zebulon Citanul Another low grade for the VA in Vancouver...and most likely Portand, as well. Met my Primary Care for the first time and I was asked "So, what is going on?" I told the doctor of a few things that are causing me l a lot of difficulty...when I was informed that my appointment was for 15 minutes and only one issue could be addressed. Now, when I was 19 years old and sent overseas I never had an opportunity to question, dispute, or change my orders. I did what I was told. All GIs were promised excellent medical care for life via the VA. It was something I always kept in mind. Now that I am older I need their help I find the VA is now run like a cheap HMO. The Army lied to me, and the VA has failed me, and I know many other veterans who feel exactly the same. It will cost me money, but I am ditching the VA and their sub-standard care and obtain medigap insurance. And, today, October 15th is "Open Enrollment Day" to get what I hope is good coverage and better treatment. FTVA!

Bruce Larson Its a VA Medical Center... Its not a commercial facility. They only cater to qualified Veterans. The people who work here seem wonderful to me. I am treated with care. The Dental Facilities here, as well as the staff are the best I have ever experienced anywhere! My PMCP is here, and I am very pleased with my treatment.

Kim Lardie The billing department is terrible. My wife received a bill and I paid it while I contested the charge with my insurance company. In June I was told by the insurance company that the charges would be reversed. On 6/16/23 at 1:20 I called and spoke with Tonya who said I had a credit and they would refund the money in 60 days. I said this is a long time for you to hold onto my money and she said the process takes awhile. At 2:05PM that same day Tonya called me and said she had made a mistake. Tonya said since the original payment was made with a credit card I would receive the money in a few days. On 8/14/23 at 12:35 I called and spoke with Jenny who said it would be a few more days. I asked why it has taken two months when I was told I would have a refund in a few days. Jenny said she would have her manager (Jordan) call me. The manager never called. On 8/21 I called again and spoke to Christine who told me it would be a few more weeks. I said this was unacceptable as it has been over 60 days. The manager, Jordan, came on the phone and I told her she was in violation for holding onto the money for over 60 days. The money was refunded that same day. The Fraud Enforcement and Recovery Act of 2009 (PL 111-21 amending 31 U.S.C 3729(b)(3)) subjects healthcare providers, as well as their vendors and subcontractors, to penalties under the False Claims Act for failure to identify and return overpayments. The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010 (PL 111-148 Section 6402(a)) requires that overpayments be reported and returned within 60 days of the date that they are “identified.”

Deborah Joling As a Registered Nurse I frequently cared for Dr Michael Paradis patients and found him to be an excellent anesthesiologist. When I needed surgery I specifically requested him for my procedure. Knowing he would be managing my anesthesia was a large part of my decision to travel to Vancouver for surgery rather than having it in Bend where I live. As I had expected he handled it perfectly. I recommend him highly and thank him for his excellent care.

Robert McDowell I did like that they went beyond the call of duty and reached out to my councilor when asked because the report I needed was the only thing that was keeping me on my probation. I did not like that it took so long for my counselor to communicate with my probation officer because I was enrolled in drug treatment in July and nothing was communicated till, I was almost done and had to initiate that communication and I also had to fill out another ROI out when I had already filed one out 12 weeks prior from the start of my treatment . I would like to change the fact that no one reached out to me during the time of my drug treatment. I did have one face to face meeting when I was in drug treatment.

Soren Fields I came in to get the Nexplanon implant because my usual provider had me on a two week waitlist. Planned Parenthood got me a walk in the same day I called. I felt safe and full informed the entire time. They walked me through each step of the process making sure I was comfortable and educated about what was going on. They are there because they want to help you, they are kind and passionate and I had an amazing experience.

Devin M The wait times have been awful the last few months, Had to cancel a very important medical appointment last minute that ended up getting billed for because they didn’t return my callback request three days in a row and I ended up not being able to make it to the appointment another way. Same issue occurred another time recently but I managed to have a backup this time. I call at 9-10 in the morning so that makes it 6-8 hours without a callback. I appreciate the transportation services but this is super inconvenient when I cannot make it to my appointments any other way.

Deborah Durgan Exodus is the best transportation ever! always on time. My friend left her cup behind. The next day I got a ride and the driver remembered me, had the cup that my friend left. He even remembered her name and gave the cup to her. To me that is the best customer service ever and beyond. They are always so nice and on time. Their polite and the ride is comfortable. I will always use their services because they are so reliable. Thank you Exodus!

Devon Prince TLDR: Got an eye infection from standard eye exam here and no guidance from this office/doctor. A couple of years ago I had an issue with this office taking over 2 months to get my contact lens order fulfilled with no proactive updates, but I let it slide because I really liked the optometrist and thought my prescription was more accurate than Ive gotten at other places. That said, after my appointment this month I will never return. The day following my standard eye exam, my left eye was still extremely sensitive to light and bloodshot. I gave it a day and with no improvement, called the customer service line. She said she was sending my message to triage and to expect a call from the doctor. Well, after 2 more BUSINESS days the call never came... My eye was getting worse and puffy so I had to do an urgent care appointment to get prescribed medicated eye drops, they told me it was clearly infected and I likely got it from my appointment. After my urgent care appointment, I called back Vancouver Eye Care to let them know I got an infection from my appointment and never got a call from the doctor. The person on the line was apologetic, but I never heard anything else. Mistakes happen and according to urgent care, conjunctivitis is going around, so dont know that they lack proper hygiene practices, but the lack of concern over their patients health after leaving the office is a huge red flag.

aaronh4 Nothing tremendously negative about my experience but the following would be the reason Ill be changing clinics 1) almost the entire exam was performed by the assistant (no knock on her). While she was cordial, it only concerns me if the doctor isnt primarily checking my eyes as well regarding the prescription. The doctor, while very nice, looked only at the back of the eye after dialation. To me, this is more an issue with their business model. 2) the two front office ladies seemed to neither greet, smile or go beyond basic duty.

Carla Baker Receptionist was so rude. She literally said “they not gonna pay for another prescription until June so” I’m surprised she didn’t just hang up on me for asking what it costs to have another prescription done so my daughter can keep her glasses on all day instead of taking them off to see up close and putting them back on for far away… what a 5 year old is supposed to do that??

Steve Davis I am shocked that this place is a medical facility. I went in a few months ago for a physical with some known concerns. The medical provider I saw was pushing a colonoscopy even though I am not at risk for it. Meanwhile, I cant even get them to have me hooked up for a take home heart monitor for what I suspect is A-fib. I sent a couple of messages to my care team, and they said they would send the referral again. Almost 3 months after the initial appointment, Ive heard nothing. Their billing department is on top of things, though. Theyre not willing to work on affordable payments and will send you to collections fairly quickly, though. Update: after 4 months I finally got a call from the cardiology department. The Vancouver Clinic has an utter lack of communication, and I would avoid getting any care at this place because it will take forever for referrals to get anywhere. I also ended up paying my bill in full since they will not take payments stretched out beyond 6 months, regardless of the bill.

Zebulon Citanul I went there with great expectations only to discover that whomever I spoke with regarding scheduling did not listen to what I had said. Due to that, I was unable to attend my appointment. Further, I was made to think it was my error/fault, and that I was a bad person because I was frustrated that I was misled.

Deaaira Willingham There practice needs to work on urgency and efficiency. Being a healthcare provider they should be able to assess what’s important vs what’s not . Going here with hope in my heart thinking I was going to get answers/treatment with my son’s diagnosis did nothing but cost us delays . The physicians he seen did the BARE MINIMUM. How do you do labs and loose them ? How do you “ send referrals” and later find out it was never sent . They need to work on there skills because there negligence just caused us to be in limbo for even longer waiting for treatment. I don’t recommend coming here AT ALL!

Jordannah Franco This place is a complete mockery of healthcare. I’ve been patient over the years because I know they are a teaching clinic. But the negligence, lack of accountability, and intelligence is mind blowing. I’m honestly shocked they have been able to avoid any lawsuits due to negligence. Besides Dr O’Brien and Dr Linares this place would be a joke. Staff is completely unprofessional leaving your messages on read over and over because they do not want to deal with the issue or take any accountability. No follow up for ED visits. Minimal to no same day appointment availability. No patient follow up after instructions are given. Just here fend for yourself. Saying sports physicals and physicals for adolescents are different is insanity! TONS of children go their entire childhood without playing sports so I guess if they get testicular cancer or a hernia they go unnoticed. Sounds like a scam for parents to pay for 2 physicals when receptionist schedule incorrectly. The staff needs training on how to correctly deal with issues without avoiding them. And how to give seamless continuity of care.
