Renee Fiorini I have seen some negative reviews on here because of the door being locked and considered rude. I had to make my own review because they are far from it. This establishment is very kind, professional, and easy to reach. They have a note on the door that gives you instructions to reach them, I bet they do schedules by appointment because they are quite busy which shows to me they have steady clients… So many are quick to put up a poor yelp review when they don’t like something and it can hurt a business for no reason. My family are business owners & understand what a yelp review can do, so as a valued client of one of the stylists that does my hair; I just wanted to rebuttal some of the comments that gave a poor review for the doors being locked or being ignored. I just can’t imagine that, I’ve been here often and have never witnessed anything like this. It was during covid I believe they started doing this but I believe they continued with it because of safety and convenience as well. If you are considering these ladies, it is WORTH it, THEY ARE GREAT!!!

Diana Wu A great place to get many services! Hair, tanning, both lamp and spray, waxing, chiropractic. They also carry a good amount of Seahawk items that are reasonably priced, such as cups, gloves, scarves, jewelry, pins and more.

Blake Latour Walked in at opening. Nobody at the front desk and nobody on the floor. Waited 10 minutes and nothing changed. Walked out.

Teri H I tried to get an appointment but each stylist is ‘independent’ and make their own schedules, so you have to call them directly. The front door was locked and was ignored by stylists inside. Rude and unprofessional if you are not an established client. Don’t waste your time, head down the road and find someone who wants your business.

Errol Lee I go here to get my haircut so hours and days are dependent on who you see. Easy to get to and no issues finding a parking spot. The waiting area is on the small side seating wise. They typically have items for sale by local vendors which is nice to see.

Mark Tolleth Im in a wheelchair and they cut my hair in the wheelchair. I wheel a mile to get my haircut. Its a great price and always do a great job! Highly recommend for men/kids haircuts.

Alexis Jade Sanchez Don’t judge but I haven’t gotten my hair professionally cut in almost 10 years. I was hoping for affordable prices since I was only getting a trim and I usually cut my own hair for free so couldn’t come to terms with paying anything over $30. They were busy but able to get my in a chair within 10 minutes since they mostly had men clients and their cuts are quick. I even decided to get my boyfriends haircut since they were able to take us at the same time. Great service and my hair looks and feels amazing, she did an amazing job! I love how attentive they are to their other clients as well. Parking is alright, there are also a few other great options for lunch in the same complex before or after. Happy customer for sure, loved how simple they made the experience for me. ❤️

L D Cant beat a $10 haircut for men. I have been getting haircuts here for years. The stylists are nice, friendly, and does a good job. Bringing my 2 year old son here now too and they are great with him.

I’ve showed up three times last week but most employees are on vacation so only one lady working. She asked me to come back the next day , but was busy again. Two weeks ago I came for a facial. Literally waited 45 minutes while they helped everyone who came AFTER me because my service would take the longest. I ended up leaving…..

Keri Garcia My daughter wanted to get her eyebrows threaded on her birthday and the woman there did an amazing job. My daughter was THRILLED with the result. And such a deal too! $5 for beautifully shaped brows and all the annoying little hairs around the brows GONE.

Almond Joy Ive been coming here to get my eyebrows threaded and I think they do a great job, but the customer service is poor. I came in yesterday and waited almost five minuets for someone to assist me, but no one even acknowledge that I came through the door, so I decided to leave. I wasnt sure who was working that day but there should be someone at the front desk to help assist customers. I dont think Ill be coming back for services.

shivangini purohit I had very bad experience yesterday. I went for waxing service and there were 2ladies who were doing waxing and they did waxing so bad that my hands had all the red spots. I request their owner Mandeep to handle waxing department as she is best in the that and rest of the staff shouldn’t do if they don’t know how to do waxing.

Qi Spirit Love this salon. One of the more, Diverse settings I’ve experienced in Kent. A flurry of languages, because each person does their own specialty & is a respected individual- international vibes & excellent quality of services. So far I’ve met staff from Thailand, Vietnam & India. They all work together smooth & friendly. I enjoy all the conversations going on. If you need Slience, go elsewhere. This place is amazing. No booming music. It’s just alive! Quality services- May get in same week, might have to book a month out, depends on services & what’s avail- very happy!

God’s child First of all, I have to say the prices caught My Eye. thought there had to be a catch? Are we back in the 90’s? lol I mean $12.00 for Men’s cut, it doesn’t get any better than that. I paid less than $20.00. I also had a beard Trim as well, I was just blown away! I usually pay $40- $50 alone for that!! I will forever be a Customer. :) She did better than Most barbers I have been to for a fraction of the cost. She also is skilled at what She does & takes Her time. Especially being the only one there. Had I known this place existed I would have came here the whole time. Ha She was an incredible Kind lady & I knew this was the place to be when I heard Worship Music! Glorifying God in these dark days that’s impressive! Marina Sotero Although it may take a lot of waiting before you can have your turn (Kim’s working by herself and many customers just love coming back), she will take her time with you just to make sure you are satisfied with the outcome. She has great skills. No one should complain about her service and the reasonable price of it. We’ve been going to her for years. Highly recommended.

Kendall Carrier Best Haircut place in King County! Owned and operated by one sweet gal. She takes her time on every haircut. Prices are unbelievable. $13 Mens haircut. Cant find that anywhere else. Ive been going to her for five years. I moved to Redmond but still drive to Kent for my haircuts. Its that good!

Deahja Johnson She takes her time she doesnt rush even if she has clients waiting in chairs. They understand they wouldnt want her to rush on their faces. She doesnt tell you after the time that shes closed . If shes open and there may be 1 or 2 that come after closing, she still took them. Do you remember the times when you really needed your brows done and it was an emergency before a wedding or vacation. She is the lady that hooks you up.

Vonda PJ She does a great job. Huge problem with her kids in the salon, they were screaming, running around the customers while she was threading. They got up in one of the threading chairs and were jumping up and down. Playing in a 4 wheeled toy through the entire salon. Got in the office chair and the other pushed the chair. We will not go back.

At the time, he was one of the few barbers doing those crazy designs, and that immediately caught my attention. From the very first cut, I could tell he was serious about his craft—passionate, precise, and always pushing his skills to the next level. I still remember when he hooked me up with some wild designs on both sides of my head. In ceramics class, a group of foreign exchange students from Japan saw it and went crazy—they all wanted pictures of the designs and couldn’t stop talking about how clean the work was. If you’re looking for a great barber in the area, I 100% recommend you stop by The Kingdom Barbershop. Even if you’re not local, it’s worth the trip—I used to drive all the way from Seattle just to get my cut. The shop is always clean, the other barbers are top-tier, and you really can’t go wrong coming here. Plus, there’s an ATM in case you need to pull out cash for the cut. I could go on, but I think y’all get the point. If you want to look sharp, impress a woman, or just feel good about yourself, this is the place to go. Nothing but respect for you, Christian—I look forward to many more years of haircuts from you, and one day, I hope you’ll be the one to cut my firstborn’s (hopefully a boy’s) hair.

The cut was so clean my kid looked in the mirror and said he doesnt even know who he is and had been walking around referring to himself as Him. Overall great experience. Google User I decided to try this place for my first haircut in three years, and unfortunately, it wasn’t a great experience. The owner seemed sweet initially, but as she was cutting my hair, she began to criticize how I part my hair, the unevenness of my baby hairs, and the differences in texture between sections of my hair. Her comments made me feel uncomfortable. I asked for layers, but I was surprised that the $40 price didn’t include a shampoo and blowout, which is typically included at other small businesses. While I don’t mind paying more for quality service, I felt that the customer service here was more unpleasant than kind. Unfortunately, this experience was disappointing, and I won’t be returning.

Michelle Mika Stylists are kind and salon itself is well-kept. If you’ve rattled off a handful of your favorite Salons before I’m hoping Blossom Hair Salon is on your list. If not, I guarantee it will quickly become your go-to for a trim, full cut or a more extensive treatment or color! I don’t know any other place that can give you a quality cut for under 20. I recently balayaged and couldn’t be happier. I wish I would have gotten a better After picture but I admittingly rushed to show off the new hair that night- a testament to how pleased I was!

Samara Martinez Today I went in to try to get a balayage wish i never had gone there. They kept saying that they were very busy. I felt that the girl i had was just rushing and kept telling me that we were almost done and told her to take her time. Long story short she messed up my hair and made my roots light almost marching my highlights. She said that she gave me a discount my total $120 and couldnt even come up with the right numbers and kept talking with the other girl in her language which i found rude you are at work you are not on the street i dont speak your language. I can do a bettet job myself. Such a waste of time amd money. My friend told me this place was bad afterwards that she had has a bad experience there too wish i would of known ahead of time. From, not a happy customer.

Hanh Prices is outrageous, and I recently bought Biolage products thats good for my hair until I decided to refund from budget. A cashier at front desk gave me a receipt that says refund confirmed and should give me my money back in my bank account. I still dont see it after I opened my bank app. I checked everything this tells me they mislead me the entire time and I will never step a foot in Blue Island Beauty ever again not suitable for everyone unless spend alot more.

first last Been here twice. Both times had a great experience. Jessica kind of carries it all since many stylist dont stick around too long, but shes amazing. The owner is very kind and organized. Its pricy but your hair should be valued so its worth it ((:

James B Great salon, with lots of product to chose from, and a full service salon in the back. Reasonably priced, it is not a quick chop shop, as some are. Megan is great, and has been taking care of keeping my hair looking nice for a few years now. Highly recommend her, as she very much tries to do her best on every visit.

S Curry THIS PLACE IS HORRIBLE & THEIR PRICES ARE EVEN WORSE. Name of business is different. "Blue Lake" or something like that. Ive had the same thing done at dozens of different salons/barbers for 15+yrs & this place is the worst! Normally, its $10-$15 and most are good. This dump, $32 & screwed it up! I shave my had with clippers every 4 or 5 days, so its never very long. The young kid shaved my head in a matter of 10 - 15 minutes. He asked if I wanted a beard trim and I said yes. Told him a #2. He mustve forgot to adjust the guard because he took it to the skin, like my head. Had to stop him from taking it all off. After being shampooed, I had hair all over me still. At that point, I just wanted to go home so I could fix it. When I asked how much, I was told $32. Really?!? For what, shaving off my beard and leaving hair all over me? I fought the price and the cheap b**** behind the counter ended up charging me $28...$10 of that was for screwing up my beard. If you want 15 minutes worth of a miserable haircutting experience and OUTRAGOUS prices, go here!

Brooke Sholes Jessica did an amazing job on my hair! I wont be going to anyone else besides her from now on! Cut a lot of hair off like I asked and amazing blended layers. My hair is REALLY thick so its hard to blend my layers and she cut my hair to EXACTLY what I asked for and didnt rush things on bit. Very fun conversations as well.

Eric A In the recent 6 months Ive become a regular. This place is popular so call ahead to make an appointment. Ive been pretty lucky and not had to wait more than 15 minutes. Theres usually 2 or 3 stylists at a time. They cut my hair exactly how I ask and know how to deal with my oddly located cowlicks. They dont rush and take time to carefully and meticulously cut your hair. My hair gets all over everything and they make sure to clean it off so I can continue with my day. Cant beat the price here either.

Junne Pepito My recent visit to Crossgate hair salon with Lindsay turned into a complete nightmare. Initially, she appeared confident about performing a highlight root touch-up on my hair and assured me she would do her best. However, the outcome was nothing short of disastrous. My hair ended up with uneven colors, displaying shades ranging from orange to white, brown, and even black in patches. It was a chaotic mess of multiple colors that was far from what I expected or paid for. Upon expressing my dissatisfaction, the salon offered to fix the issue. However, given Lindsays dismissive attitude and lack of apology, I no longer trusted them to do my hair anymore. When I requested a refund as an alternative, they didnt want to and insisted on attempting another fix. This response only increased my frustration, especially considering the numerous red flags I had encountered throughout this trauma. Despite understanding that they used products and spent time on the service, the responsibility for delivering a quality service lies squarely with the salon. Lindsays unapologetic and rude attitude further added to my distress. Her suggestion of offering me $50 out of the $185 I originally paid, repeatedly emphasizing it was her personal money, was both unprofessional and insensitive. This interaction left me feeling deeply stressed, to the point of tears and embarrassment. Now, I decided to visit another salon to correct the botched job. To my dismay, the issues persisted; there were still visible uneven colors and a stark line at the back of my hair that Lindsay had insisted was acceptable and only needed minor adjustments—a claim that proved to be false. Overall, my experience with Crossgate Salon and Lindsay was marked by extremely poor customer service. The entire ordeal has left me traumatized and wary of returning to their salon. I cannot in good conscience recommend this salon to anyone seeking hair care services. I will be sharing pictures of my hair to illustrate the severity of my experience.

lyn dc Kathy did an excellent service on my hair. I came in with my overgrown natural black color hair and the rest with previously highlighted colored hair so it was a bit challenging to blend in my preferred color but with patience and attention to detail, she was able to bring the color all-together. She was kind and very considerate. I love the service and will come back!
