  • What Clients Are Saying about Eastside Automotive Inc (on GG)
5 /5 Paul Copenhaver: Lou does a great job, he’s super knowledgeable and great at explaining mechanical issues. He charges very reasonable rates, and working with him is way better than dealing with a “stealership”. I’ve brought my Tacoma here for service and will continue to do so. Thanks Lou!
5 /5 Aaron Ross: My A/C compressor went out and I needed a belt bypass done. Lou explained exactly what he was going to do and then what he had done. He was also very transparent and didn’t try to hide anything. Will be going back!
5 /5 Bill Kautz: Lou is an extremely knowledgeable mechanic with practical, common sense solutions. I had a mechanical issue that cancelled my drive to Seattle and was fortunately able to get the car to Ellensburg. Lous shop was recommended by multiple locals and Im so glad I was able to get back on the road safely because of his help. Hes a great guy! If I lived here I would always take my car to him. Thanks again Lou!
5 /5 Erika Layne: I had car problems while driving from Tri-Cities to Seattle. I stopped at Eastside, and Lou was so helpful. He explained what was going on, did some tests, and gave me the info I needed to decide what to do next. I was pretty stressed, and he made a stressful situation much easier. Thanks Lou!
2 /5 Ani Qualls: (Long explaination but worthwhile to read!!) I had called all around town to find a place to bring my car in for an EGR issue, and Lou was one of the few that seemed welcoming and willing to explain some things too. So I was looking forward to bringing my car in, he tried multiple things and it seemed to have worked so far and explained more things about the issue, which I really appreciated. I found the pricing to be very reasonable with (what I thought) good customer service. Afterwards we had talked on the phone and he tells me my lower ball joints need to be replaced, okay great thank you for letting me know! So when I went to pick it up, he showed me the tire movement at the 3&9 positions, as he told me again those need to be replaced before driving on the highway because the tires would then not drive correctly. So I went home and looked up some videos to double check and learn more about it. Watching the videos I had seen that it was showing a tie end rod & steering issue, but movement on the top and bottom can show ball joint issues, so I lifted the car and wiggled the top and bottom and no movement! I called Lou leaving a voicemail letting him know what I saw and my own opinion saying that I dont necessarily think its the lower ball joints, but rather a tie end rod issue, and if he could write and estimate for that as well. Of course I dont know much about cars compared to him as a lifelong mechanic, but I can still raise my own opinions and concerns, and he can explain it back if I am wrong, thats okay! I had also thought he might have accidentally said the lower ball joints as I know that can happen. Anyways, little did I know I had offended him! We spoke on the phone after he got my message and he had told me what I said had offended him. I was shocked, as I didnt mean to, and was not expecting him to react that way. He had continued to tell me something about working there for 44 years etc. while I was trying to apologize and explain my situation, he had not stopped to let me talk or hear me out, and (as I told him I was taking the car to les schwab to get new tires and the suspension checked) told me I should just have les schwab look at it and that it is the lower ball joints, and hung up on me!! He never took the wheel off to check, only wiggled the tires. I was so shocked and upset that he would do that, not thinking that my concerns would have offended him this much to be so rude and unprofessional. Anyways, I had just got the suspension checked within the last hour today and guess what, the lower ball joints are just fine, and it was the inner and our tie end rods that need to be replaced. So it is a good thing I double checked with myself and another place before spending money on something that didnt need done that he had sworn needs to be replaced. I understand he has the experience and qualifications, but you can still make mistakes or misjudge things. I do think Lou is still a decent mechanic, but this was definitely a horrible, and my first terrible customer service experience, on top of him almost having me get something "fixed" that didnt need it. I was looking forward to bringing that car and my own in again, but glad to say I wont be now. So I guess dont get on his bad side, or question his judgements if you dont want to deal with that, but if you want to question things like a normal customer making sure youre doing whats absolutely needed, then Id look for somewhere else. Thanks.

Kiyrah Keith: I had a great experience with D&M Motors! They were able to schedule me quickly. I dont know a lot about cars, and they were able to quickly diagnose a critical issue and get it fixed. They did a great job of calling me with updates, and the price was very reasonable. I would absolutely come here again with future car maintenance.
    Crossroad Garage - Ellensburg
Bryce Raven: I had a fantastic experience with Crossroad Garage. Chrissy at the front desk was able to get an appointment for me to get a diagnostic done on my truck within a few days of my calling. When I had some questions about the diagnostic, Eli could answer them and break everything down for me so I could understand them. They also advised me on when I should get maintenance done on my truck. If you want excellent customer service and great mechanics, look no further. As a bonus, the pricing was pretty good. They took pretty good care of me and my truck; I will be going back and highly recommend them!

    Ellensburg Brake & Bearing, LLC
Kaycee Montgomery: Have come in a couple times with different vehicles, both times they were quick to see me and were clear and concise in explaining what the problem was and what my options were. Werent afraid to let me know how serious (or not serious) it was, and even went so far as to give me some pointers when I considered doing the work myself; shows real integrity. Highly recommend and the pricing seems fair.

Michael Reed: My car started having issues 20 minutes from Ellensburg, for a road trip to Colorado. This guy managed to come out on very short notice, get the problem fixed, showed me how to do it myself for next time, and all in a very short time for a great price. And even did a check in the next day to make sure I got there ok. He did an incredible job and was very kind. I would highly recommend him to anyone in the area!
University Auto Center Body Shop - Ellensburg
Andrea Knight: Body shop did a great job with the repair of our bumper after our son slid off I-90. Communication could have been faster. Emailing seemed to be the best way to communicate with them. They worked seamlessly with our insurance. I would use the body shop again.
    Kj Property Repair - Ellensburg
Sharon Blankenship: Built deck, ramp for wheelchair & replaced doors. Worked steady, clean up, & reasonable rates.
    ProStar Collision - Ellensburg
miriam ledwith: I had what used to be called a fender bender, when cars were better made, while visiting my family in Seattle. The engine seemed fine but the driver side bumper and all the panels that it was connected to was very badly mangled. I wasted a week in Seattle trying to get it fixed there. But after 8 days of no information, mis-nformation, and bad information, I had it long hauled to Pro Star in Eburg, where I had had a great job on a non-insurance issue taken care of 6 years ago. Justin and Staci had my back with the insurance company. They called me twice a week. Justin sent me photos of the damage and photos of the parts. The parts were ordered 3 days after the car arrived, painted the next week and I had a brand new looking car back in exactly 13 days. It would have been 10 days but we were waiting for the INSURANCE critters to call back. When Justin was busy, Staci walked me through stuff. Everything she told me was accurate and true. Five stars are not enough.

Brian Williams: I called on True North Mobile Services to resuscitate my broken down rig. Kyle arrived promptly, was very thorough with the diagnosis and repair and I was happy to pay his fair price for the work excellent. Id recommend him to a friend.
