1 /5 HONEY B: For my first pregnancy I went through this office which was okay. I have recently scheduled a new appointment here over the phone. I showed up for my appointment & I had to ask 3 different receptionist on how to get to the OBGYN clinic since they have moved since the last time I had been here. They also seemed confused as to where the clinic was at. After walking around for 20 mins I get upstairs & I check in. I now have a different insurance (which shouldn’t matter). As I am filling out paperwork I am now being told that I need a referral to be seen after the appointment has already been made, and was not disclosed to me before or after making the appointment. I am also a stay at home mom, which means I have a baby with me. Not even a year old. I am being told I cannot be seen & they had to cancel my appointment because I have an infant with me. This is my baby, it doesn’t make sense to refuse service because an infant child that still has to go to appointments with their mother. I am a stay at home mom for a reason. This being said I obviously do not have childcare for my baby. I am the baby’s child care. For all of this to happen to me when I get to my appointment when it could have been avoided, if I was notified over the phone, to what her excuse was because I “called the front desk instead of the call center” I wouldn’t have wasted my time to go there. The receptionist offered to reschedule for the next day as if she didn’t understand I don’t not have childcare for my baby. Although I came here for my first pregnancy & wanted to come back I might have to find somewhere else to go unfortunately. I am disappointed on how today played out & felt as if I was refused service for caring for my baby at the same time.
